And I was there a night or two before at a restaurant round 12am near the Opera House, saw them setting up that center picture thing in the middle of the bridge. Was really cool. Shame that half the show was ruined due to the amount of smoke coming off the bridge. Apparently people thought there was a terrorist attack because of that. :\

@alijav1 and yes Sydney has been in the top 10 livable cities, each year, the last many years, since the economist magazine started rating cities.... and considering houses are very expensive, id say thats a good achievement... don't forget Melbourne... although not as elegant & beautiful as Sydney... it is still a magnifienct city, that has ranked between 1st and 3rd place (mostly due to cheaper land) even Melbourne has alot to offer, and can rival London with ease.... the city is way bigger!

I know about it. Australia is one of the LEAST racist countries in the world. I am American and have lived in Sydney. Aussies are the nicest people I've met. Of course you will find idiots everywhere in the world.

Perhaps you should look at the rise of neo-nazis in Europe, the UK etc. The US is still awfully racist in some parts. Please educate yourself or travel the world. See for yourself how it is.
