Dances of this type are done all over African, particular East Africa and North Africa. Professional dancers make less than 1% of all dance done across North Africa and the Middle East. These dances are learned from childhood in family celebrations. These are social folkdances that are done primarily for fun and are expressions of joy and celebration. Now as professional entertainment some dancers do make a sexual display but that is their choice. it doesn't mean that is what the dance is.
The performers in this video are wearing traditional men's outfits. They are not showing their bodies or being sexually provocative in any way. They are showing skill, balance and musical interpretation and with the exception of doing it standing on drums they are not doing anything that you wouldn't see guys doing all across North Africa, East Africa and Central Africa doing at weddings and social gatherings.

Tito knows what the world needs out there. He's got dramatics and passion in his dance. I was very lucky to see him perform live at West Seattle. Thanks to the belly dancers in Seattle that sponsored him. He had everyone stop what they're doing and watch him perform. He is very lucky to have a son that will follow his footsteps. Talent like this is very hard to find. It is done in very good taste.

I would need to know more about him. He very well might be gay and this is his way of getting attention, or he may be doing it for shock value. Just because he may be gay doesn't mean all Male dancers are gay. Its a sterootype that all male dancers have to put up with. I will say this though, guys like the one you posted do not make the situation better for male dancers who are serious. Check out the movie Billy Elliot. Its all about the gay male dancer stereotype.

As I said, all male dancers, no matter what style have to deal with the stereotype of being perceived as gay, but this is a stereotype. It doesn't mean that it is true. Are there gay male dancers? Yes there are in every form, hip hop, ballet, Jazz. But it doesn't mean that all male dancers are gay. It is a stereotype and the only way to change it is to have good artists who can show they have talent.

Are you kidding me? Have you watched a music video lately? You're going to tell me that the dancing in those videos are not sexually provocative? Oriental Dance is nowhere near as provocative. I know what Rai and Chabbi are. Raks Baladi is the Egyptian social dance. In all these forms Rai, Chabbi, Baladi, the hios play a major role. The Egyptian style is just more complex that is all. Raks Sharki is just the theatricalized version of baladi and baladi is danced by both sexes.

The general public does not perceive belly dancing as an art form. When a woman performs belly dancing and shakes her bosom and her hips, she expresses glamorous sensuality which makes her available to meet the sexual agenda for men! And therefore she is perceived as a Sex Object

No, the truth is that as a conservative muslim you are offended by dance period. If this were a woman youd be it degrading as evidenced by your comment. Do you feel offended by ballet dancers or Jazz dancers as well? Why or why not? You comment makes the assumption that if a woman dances she has to do it in a way that displays her sexuality. This is not true. Your statement makes the assumption that the dance is all about sexual enticement and that is also not true.

Dances of this type are done all over African, particular East Africa and North Africa. Professional dancers make less than 1% of all dance done across North Africa and the Middle East. These dances are learned from childhood in family celebrations. These are social folkdances that are done primarily for fun and are expressions of joy and celebration. Now as professional entertainment some dancers do make a sexual display but that is their choice. it doesn't mean that is what the dance is.

The performers in this video are wearing traditional men's outfits. They are not showing their bodies or being sexually provocative in any way. They are showing skill, balance and musical interpretation and with the exception of doing it standing on drums they are not doing anything that you wouldn't see guys doing all across North Africa, East Africa and Central Africa doing at weddings and social gatherings.

This is my channel and I shot this footage. I don't care if you dont lioke it, that is normal. Every person isn't going to like every performer just like every person doesnt like every type of food. There has to be variety and different tastes in the world. Its when people make vicious statements or ststements that are cukturally misleading that I speak up.
