I understand she is a mother and everything, but she has a life of her own, we only get one life, and she deserves to live her life happily whether she has a child or not. i had stayed in a relationship where my husband had been cheating for 6 years, and I know how it feels, and how bad it was leaving I am happy.
Shikha would actually appreciate the new relationship with Akash, they perhaps would appreciate each other after the previous tough relationships, and who knows this man would also be a true father. There can be positive sides also. Shikha's husband was anyway a selfish man who didnt even forgive his own wife for the same mistake he had made for 2 YEARS (and she only for couple of weeks as she didnt get attention from her husband). So yeah, there is no hope with such low moral man. Seriously.
I don't understand how much correct should I consider Shikha's decision?So what does one do when they RE-find love in their love? Block its bloody way?One side they show value of relationships in a modern generation and on the other hand they want to impose the typical "culture". Shikha stays back for the "family",however,I wonder if it would be a "happy family"? Gah!!

I agee forgiving is divine ... i am a mascoist and hypocritical MALE but even to me i found that how easily socity forgives and the wife forgives the husband ,KK menons character but same does not apply for a woman .... her feelings , her need for love has to below the childrens and man's happiness WTF ... but in the scenario we are shown in the movie maybe she should have left her husband, but if she did she should not have gone with akash...she should have gone off on her own and shown she didn't need any of them...
i agree that shika's husband was a real jerk...but i dont gree that she should have gone with akash either...i mean she is another man's wife nd he was willing to sleep with her...this shows me that he's not in love with her, he just wants to sleep with her...and until he is able to sleep with her, he is obsessed with her...now if he had relly loved her, he should have helped leave her husband, then married her....

It's a very sensitive and realistic movie about relationships. Also liked the bit of Bollywood masala at the end, the ghodi and train and all, it went with the flow!
But I agree that Shikha should have left her husband, whether she went with Akash or not. Her husband was simply a selfish lout and not worth it. And he didn't come back to her because he was sorry, he came back because the other girl left him! He would be a bad example even for their child.

Her husband never forgave her for meeting aakash in the intial days and here she is forgiving him for sleeping with another woman and also for having left her when!
I liked aakash/shikha's love story but maybe they only had to meet each other to solve their respective issues - her failing marriange and his lack of self worth.
Had her husband not returned shikha would have definitely reunited with Aakash. She may have stayed with her husband for the kid but there's no telling that her husband might cheat on her again. And it cant be disputed that the only reason her husband went back to her when everything was lost - his lover left him - thats when he went back to her.

Sometimes people learn from their mistakes. and I guess that's what shikha's banking on, the reality is that at some point in time, they were in love.
She is a married lady and this means thinking @ our childrens future without parents. Is it assured that her next move would be a safer bet. Its not forgiving but its how marriages r kept alive. I agree that it is sick & K.K. Menon makes it more intensively sick with his aggression. Kids... Its the future of the kids that depend a lot on marriage. Will the kids accept their new father? what will they learn from their parents about commitments towards marriage ? Its a long interdependant chain
@uaesucks I totally agree with u on this.... Breaking 1 realtionship to form another sounds easy but may not be so... If shikha had gone off with Aakash who knows a few years later how that wud turn out...Marraige means commitment and compromises, and always a lot more is required from the woman's side.... In this movie it is not Shikha the wife who stays back but Shikha The mother...

For entertainment purposes where we beleive in fantasy and perfect love, sure she should have gone with Aakash and he would have been a perfect husband to her and good to her daughter. In real life though, its much more complicated than that, forget about cultural stereotype and male dominance. Either way I think this movie teaches us a lot about love and commitment.

If children only got to know the real truth, they would not suggest their mother to stay with such man, though he is their father. In this case as in this movie, shikha's husband, (who is also a father of one girl) is rather a bad example than the mother taking new step with Akash. Also brutal fights at home effects the children. Perhaps Akash would turn out to become a better father. Depends on every individual.

Secondly, if children really got to know the truth, they would not really let their mother stay with a low moral man. Taking step with Akash could be better, also thinking of her kid, as her husband done mistakes upon a mistake. According to my opinion, her husband really crossed the limit of being a real husband and father. Also brutal fights between parents give negatively effects on kids
the ending's not right. how can shikha forgive him for all he's done to her...this ending is another sick version of sayin "just forgive the husband (male) no matter how much he acts like a big dickhead"...she shud've left him.. FOR GOOD!

this is a good movie but like other hindi movies...a bit over crowded with luv stories...
strong cast and direction but stories are borrowed from all over....
