  • Such joy from Alexei!

  • he totally deserved it, best skater ever, best man ever and hot a hell!!! So great to see a mature 21 year old champion but at the same time that little kid jumping up and down on the podium!!!

and I would punch Plush in the face here

  • Говорят счастье - абстрактное понятие. Да оно просто сияет в глазах этого мальчика! А сколько положительных эмоций получили, да и получают, его поклонники! Спасибо! Здоровья и удачи, Вам, Алексей!

  • LOS RUSOS SON LOS CAMPEONES DEL HIELO Y LO SEGUIRAN SIENDO, VIVA RUSIA, VIVAN SUS GRANDES PATINADORES Y SUS GRANDES GIMNASTAS

  • What name is song in Salt Lake Medal ceremony theme?

  • გაიხარე ლექსოოოო...BRAVO!

  • Alexej deserved the gold in 2002, but Plushenko is unique. Plushenko looks perfect on ice. I love his skating style, his personality. And we don't forget he is the most decorated champion of fs history. He will be in fs history book: he was the first skater who.....ect. Of course, will be, who likes better Jag's style, but the facts are facts.

  • well deserved.

  • Plushenko is the greatest skater ever! He can plays out wide range of characters, excellent personality, has the mind of steel, heart of gold. Look who is standing on the podiums of all three Olympics! Sportsman of the decade, to me he should have won all gold medals. Wish him the best on 2014! Please continue to support this fighter!

  • @lyra286 LOL!!! It sounds like you were their ex girlfriend!

  • Yagudin's a million times better than Plushenko.

  • @chuhboemember6 This is very interesting, when you wrote this comment, you didn't know anything about Plushenko

  • I've gotta say, much as I love Plushy, I think Yags was gonna win anyway. There was no way that the Michael Jackson Medley was going to beat Winter (I never liked the choppy music), even before the fall, and it's questionable as to whether Carmen (while a great performance in itself) could have beaten The Man in the Iron Mask. I do, however, feel so preveliged that such a magnificent rivalry, two such wonderful skaters, could have happened in my lifetime.

  • That's one happy man. :)

  • @lilmisstoepix17 yes he is ;0))) Check out the exhibition encore (Winter) at the 2002 Olympics, search for vietkuties619, to see him without his shirt on, and pants come to think of it, YOUZA!!!!!!! The most amazing AND beautiful skater ever!

  • Alexei Yagudin is a total stud muffin as my mum would say lol. =D

  • 2. i am curios, do you have psychiatric problems? i mean, i never talk with a person who can be so easily annoyed

    3. i think that you are the one who don't understand. take a breath and read again my last 2 comments

  • i am sorry, i this comment has nothing to do with this video. i have some problems with my youtube a count for exemple it don't appear my delete button on this comment

  • plushenko looks ticked off here too god i guess it never ends. . . . .

  • They are Russians...they are born champions! What do you expect?

  • its sad how the 2010 gold medalist didnt even attempt a quad.

  • Plushenko looks just as bitter here as he did in Vancouver.

  • gosh scott hamilton is so stupid !!!

  • I don't think that Yag and Plushy weren't enemies for real, they were RIVALS. Plushy said in 2001 that he adimirate Yagudin for his ability and strength. There was a tension between them, no hate.

  • Personally, I was hoping Plushenko to win the gold, but I was impressed by Yagudin's performance. Timothy is also an impressive skater to me. I really enjoyed watching this Olympic.

  • Both Plushenko and Yagudin are great. Please don't mention about Lysacek, he even didn't do the quad, he won the gold in Vanvouver just because of the scoring system changed.

  • @dreammyzz So in your opinion because Plushenko did the quad and landed it horribly as all of his other jumps and had zero choreographer then he should have won the gold? Please check your facts...Evan beat Plushenko on the technical mark if Plushenko had actually landed a few of his jumps clean he would have won

  • @chuhboemember6 Простите,а кто такой Эван?Вы ошиблись-мы-то здесь о ВЕЛИКИХ разговариваем.

  • and i hate you!!! so what?

  • you don't even know me! plushenko was really obnoxious to Lysacek!

  • Well deserved for Yagudin! And I'm glad that Plushenko got his Gold at the next Olympics.

I love the Russian anthem. Very patriotic!

  • ТИМОТИ ГЕЙБЛ лапушка:)))

    Во ГДЕ ЧЕМПИОНЫ!!!!:)) ВСе трое!!!

  • Call of the Champions!

  • I think Yagudin is one of the best skaters ever but Pluschenko has excelled...they both put the Americans to shame. Both have two clean quads? Hello.

  • Tim had three clean quads, one in combination. I mean, he's not nearly has good as the Russians but that's not exactly putting Goebel to shame.

  • @intldawn А кто его стыдит? Это была красивая борьба и высокая конкуренция!

  • Um, sorry, I cannot read Russian. I'd be happy to respond but I don't understand the comment.

  • If I can change.. and you can change... EVERYBODY CAN CHANGE!!!! LOL

  • I can't believe it's been 8 years. I miss Alexei so much...in my opinion he's the best ever. And he is hot as hell in this :) <3

  • Do I realy hear somebody consideres Yagudin`s victory "convincing" with 1 axele and 2 quards?? Does he means Plushenko's 2 axeles and 2 quards deserves 1st place? And who is he? Please Englishspeaking people explane me! I hope I make a mistake? Thanks!

  • markiva19 -> it's Scott Hamilton. Nobody knows why he said the things he said during Alexei's LP, but normaly he likes Alexei's skating and says that Alexei is better than Plushenko, so...

  • Thank you very much. I've always thought that Alexei's victory is unconditional so I was just very surprised. One more question please. Did Scott Hamilton comment Alexei's skating in Nagano in1998? It seems the same voice. Thank you for all

  • Yes, he did.

  • that was stupid scott hamiltom. I still cant believe the damb thinks he said that night and i use to love that guy. if you listen his comments when yagudin was skating his LP you,ll be more shoked. Hamilton was just unbelievable stupid in his comments and i dont know why.

  • Thanks. I`ve heard. "He`s third" - if it`s about Alexei then it`s very stupid indeed

  • 2:20 onwards - you can see Yagudin's future wife Totmianina behind him!

  • I don't remember any other athletes other than Yagudin and Plushenko being able to land a quad-triple-double. So you need to "recalculate" your opinions.

  • I can tell the different facial expression of two Russian athletes. However, Yagudin got the gold in 2002 and Plushenko got in 2006. I am happy for both of them.

  • ..But I think the best is Plushenko he wins in 2006 and I hope he'll win next olimpics sorry for my eglish I'm Italian

  • Que lindos Alexei y Timothy!!!!!!!

  • I love the look on Plushenko's face made me laugh such a sore loser! Good to know that Alexei is way better then him no matter what! Anyways ...Alexei is just so excited it got me all happy and cheering even though this was years ago! Alexei totally deserved it! Love him so much!! WOOO!!!

  • also Joubert face at the medal cerimony in Tallin was extremely funny XD

  • Plushenko was sad and it's nothing weird, while Joubert was just angry. Brian cannot cope with failures and that's his big problem. In my opinion he should be at the second place but anyway - it is not a reason for such egoist behavior :/

  • obv plushy is not happy, arnt u not aware that plushy and yagudin hate each other = =

  • Fell bad for Plashenko...but back then he did not know he was an Olympic champion, he would just have to wait four years.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVGENI PLUSHENKO !!! THE best :)

  • Timothy and Alexei I love them. Timothy should be very proud of himself.

  • Alexei ...what a handsome guy! Just eye candy.

  • disappointed is one thing, but when u start spewing ridiculous accusations about the sport psychologist yagudin hired using mind control to make him lose, plashenko has some serious logic issues, i saw an interview of him talking this nonsense, it just droped any respect i had for him. yagudin deserved it fair and square

  • u could see the bitterness in plashenko, it looks very unappealing, i've seen videos of when yagudin would be second to him, he never looked like that, shows the bigger man of the two, yagudin deserved this 100% love his skating!!

  • Lol, that was Olympic medal, something they both desired more than anything and worked hard to get. There are simply no other championships comparable to the Olympics today. So yeah he was disappointed and? This doesn't say anything about his personality whatsoever.

  • The name of the current Oly champion is Plushenko Evgeni.

  • Alexei the best!!!! lol :D

  • PLUSHENKO THE BEST

  • Лёша-ты лучший фигурист на планете! Мы тебя очень любим!

  • CCCP

  • Wow, I very like Tim and Alexei!!!

    They are wonderful!!!

  • First place is certainly for Yagudin!!!! He is perfect!!!! I love Yagudin!!!!

  • За мать Россию!

  • Absolutely well deserved! I am so proud of him! One of my hereos of all time Alexei Yagudin!!!

  • Yagudin just tore Plush apart at 2002 Olys. Plush didn`t deserve to get on the podium at all, he stole Goebel`s silver!

  • anyone else had four perfect scores of 6.0 ?

Braaaaaaaaavo Alexei (but i like Plushenko too)

  • I miss Yagudin so much. He was wonderful here; definitely a deserved win. His programs were superior to those of Plushenko that year, but I happen to just prefer Yagudin no matter what.

I love watching this medal ceremony!

  • @loverly18 Definitely what I wanna say. Just saw both of Russian boys in Beijing yesterday. It was like a dream that I can still watched both of them perform on one ice in my life. Lyosha couldn't jump like before due to injury and time, but he's my champion forever. BTW, Plushy was very good yesterday and I hope he can be allowed to play in 2014.

  • Yagoudin deserved it that year, his programs were fantastic, even if Plushenko hadnt fell still i believe Yagoudin would have taken the gold metal, Plushenko also should have been proud of himself, bad fall on short program, but he was injured that year, and after all he was only 19 years old, the silver was a great position, he got his gold when his time came:)

  • A very appropriate comment, especially under a video from the 2002 Olympics:) Can't be serious. Anyway, many people all around the world will never forget these moments. Such a deserved victory for a really one of a kind skater.

  • Relax..:)

  • Ok, now it's a good comment:) I was going through sort of Yagudin fever over the last few weeks (it shows under many of his videos), he's my number one, but I'm alright really:) I don't wanna sound like I take it TOO seriously, it's now history anyway.

  • It's so funny how Yagudin and Goebel were chatting, but Yagudin and Plushenko were totally ignoring each other.. lol.

  • Right, they weren't the best of buddies... but apparently they made peace!

  • I have to admit the Russian anthem is pretty damn good.

  • I just noticed this for the first time -- and correct me if I'm wrong...but did Tim Goebel stand on the wrong podium to begin with? If you look at 1:15-1:18...he gets on the _left_ side of the 1st place podium -- which is where the silver medalist stands. Then, right about 1:40-1:41 -- if you look -- it looks like Tim was corrected by someone and starts walking over to the Bronze medal stand.

  • I waas at Turin,2006, when Plushenko got the gold...I am so emotional....

    Hello from Italy

    Ada

  • Russians are the best and the most unique and artistic figure skaters in the world.

    Greetings from Germany/

  • both of them great ice dancers, and i love Russian anthem very much..since my childhood that anthem impressing me very much..

  • I really love these moments...! I already saved this video to my favorites...

  • The russian national anthem gives me goosebumps (and I'm from Sweden ;P). It's absolutely amazing!

I really like Yagodin and I'm glad he won. ;)

  • Russian anthem is my favorite and so touching! Yagudin is awsome!!

  • That was so sad. Jagudin was so happy. everbody was. everybody except of plushenko. Of course Jagudin did deserve to win but I can feel with plushenko, too.

  • In the official site of Yagudin it is said he has 175cm,but doesn't matter,it is him on the top and I am so proud of him and Russia should be glad that his champion came back home

  • yagudin looks so proud and happy winning the gold for his country and its so beautiful!!!!!!!!!

  • I didn't know it before, it looks Plushenko is at least 15 cm taller than Yagudin..

although I beleive Yagudin is slightly better skater than Plushenko, I must admit that this height issue is a big disadvantage for Plushenko..

    Applause for both of them..

The most exiting rivalry ever in figure skating arena..

  • 15cm? It doesn't look so to me at all. As I heard, Yagudin's height is 171-172cm and Plushenko's is 177-178.

  • This is the best medal ceremony ever! The greatest male skater of our time got the ultimate prize!!

  • Okay, I'm just gonna say it: Alexei is the hottest gold medallist ever.

I like the Russian anthem. And Tim Goebel winning the bronze was great to see.

  • The hottest gold medalist ever.. I couldn't agree more!:)

  • Alexei looks fantastic!

  • Oh I remember it! That was great moment! I also miss him! But I saw him this year on Champions on Ice he's still great skater and he made the best performances!:)The audience was just charming him (as always;)) Thx for sharing that movie!

  • You mis-understand. I applaud the individuals winning, whereever their country.

I meant that USA should welcome immigrants such as these should they elect to come & reside in USA.

  • And what is it about immigrants we don't like?

A tour de force. We'll embrace milions like him.

  • :-( i miss him!

  • beautiful!

  • Oh, my favorite medal ceremony ever!:)

  • an astonishing rendition of the national anthem of the Russian Federation!! Man, what a hymn! What a melody!

  • Aw, Alexei's grin :) and Plush being a sour puss, but who can blame him?:)

  • OO! this is great. i never got to see the medal ceremonies. can i get this vid from you? so cute when hes all happy
