he totally deserved it, best skater ever, best man ever and hot a hell!!! So great to see a mature 21 year old champion but at the same time that little kid jumping up and down on the podium!!!
Говорят счастье - абстрактное понятие. Да оно просто сияет в глазах этого мальчика! А сколько положительных эмоций получили, да и получают, его поклонники! Спасибо! Здоровья и удачи, Вам, Алексей!
Alexej deserved the gold in 2002, but Plushenko is unique. Plushenko looks perfect on ice. I love his skating style, his personality. And we don't forget he is the most decorated champion of fs history. He will be in fs history book: he was the first skater who.....ect. Of course, will be, who likes better Jag's style, but the facts are facts.
Plushenko is the greatest skater ever! He can plays out wide range of characters, excellent personality, has the mind of steel, heart of gold. Look who is standing on the podiums of all three Olympics! Sportsman of the decade, to me he should have won all gold medals. Wish him the best on 2014! Please continue to support this fighter!
I've gotta say, much as I love Plushy, I think Yags was gonna win anyway. There was no way that the Michael Jackson Medley was going to beat Winter (I never liked the choppy music), even before the fall, and it's questionable as to whether Carmen (while a great performance in itself) could have beaten The Man in the Iron Mask. I do, however, feel so preveliged that such a magnificent rivalry, two such wonderful skaters, could have happened in my lifetime.
@lilmisstoepix17 yes he is ;0))) Check out the exhibition encore (Winter) at the 2002 Olympics, search for vietkuties619, to see him without his shirt on, and pants come to think of it, YOUZA!!!!!!! The most amazing AND beautiful skater ever!
i am sorry, i this comment has nothing to do with this video. i have some problems with my youtube a count for exemple it don't appear my delete button on this comment
I don't think that Yag and Plushy weren't enemies for real, they were RIVALS. Plushy said in 2001 that he adimirate Yagudin for his ability and strength. There was a tension between them, no hate.
Personally, I was hoping Plushenko to win the gold, but I was impressed by Yagudin's performance. Timothy is also an impressive skater to me. I really enjoyed watching this Olympic.
Both Plushenko and Yagudin are great. Please don't mention about Lysacek, he even didn't do the quad, he won the gold in Vanvouver just because of the scoring system changed.
@dreammyzz So in your opinion because Plushenko did the quad and landed it horribly as all of his other jumps and had zero choreographer then he should have won the gold? Please check your facts...Evan beat Plushenko on the technical mark if Plushenko had actually landed a few of his jumps clean he would have won
Do I realy hear somebody consideres Yagudin`s victory "convincing" with 1 axele and 2 quards?? Does he means Plushenko's 2 axeles and 2 quards deserves 1st place? And who is he? Please Englishspeaking people explane me! I hope I make a mistake? Thanks!
markiva19 -> it's Scott Hamilton. Nobody knows why he said the things he said during Alexei's LP, but normaly he likes Alexei's skating and says that Alexei is better than Plushenko, so...
Thank you very much. I've always thought that Alexei's victory is unconditional so I was just very surprised. One more question please. Did Scott Hamilton comment Alexei's skating in Nagano in1998? It seems the same voice. Thank you for all
that was stupid scott hamiltom. I still cant believe the damb thinks he said that night and i use to love that guy. if you listen his comments when yagudin was skating his LP you,ll be more shoked. Hamilton was just unbelievable stupid in his comments and i dont know why.
I don't remember any other athletes other than Yagudin and Plushenko being able to land a quad-triple-double. So you need to "recalculate" your opinions.
I can tell the different facial expression of two Russian athletes. However, Yagudin got the gold in 2002 and Plushenko got in 2006. I am happy for both of them.
I love the look on Plushenko's face made me laugh such a sore loser! Good to know that Alexei is way better then him no matter what! Anyways ...Alexei is just so excited it got me all happy and cheering even though this was years ago! Alexei totally deserved it! Love him so much!! WOOO!!!
Plushenko was sad and it's nothing weird, while Joubert was just angry. Brian cannot cope with failures and that's his big problem. In my opinion he should be at the second place but anyway - it is not a reason for such egoist behavior :/
disappointed is one thing, but when u start spewing ridiculous accusations about the sport psychologist yagudin hired using mind control to make him lose, plashenko has some serious logic issues, i saw an interview of him talking this nonsense, it just droped any respect i had for him. yagudin deserved it fair and square
u could see the bitterness in plashenko, it looks very unappealing, i've seen videos of when yagudin would be second to him, he never looked like that, shows the bigger man of the two, yagudin deserved this 100% love his skating!!
Lol, that was Olympic medal, something they both desired more than anything and worked hard to get. There are simply no other championships comparable to the Olympics today. So yeah he was disappointed and? This doesn't say anything about his personality whatsoever.
I miss Yagudin so much. He was wonderful here; definitely a deserved win. His programs were superior to those of Plushenko that year, but I happen to just prefer Yagudin no matter what.
@loverly18 Definitely what I wanna say. Just saw both of Russian boys in Beijing yesterday. It was like a dream that I can still watched both of them perform on one ice in my life. Lyosha couldn't jump like before due to injury and time, but he's my champion forever. BTW, Plushy was very good yesterday and I hope he can be allowed to play in 2014.
Yagoudin deserved it that year, his programs were fantastic, even if Plushenko hadnt fell still i believe Yagoudin would have taken the gold metal, Plushenko also should have been proud of himself, bad fall on short program, but he was injured that year, and after all he was only 19 years old, the silver was a great position, he got his gold when his time came:)
A very appropriate comment, especially under a video from the 2002 Olympics:) Can't be serious. Anyway, many people all around the world will never forget these moments. Such a deserved victory for a really one of a kind skater.
Ok, now it's a good comment:) I was going through sort of Yagudin fever over the last few weeks (it shows under many of his videos), he's my number one, but I'm alright really:) I don't wanna sound like I take it TOO seriously, it's now history anyway.
I just noticed this for the first time -- and correct me if I'm wrong...but did Tim Goebel stand on the wrong podium to begin with? If you look at 1:15-1:18...he gets on the _left_ side of the 1st place podium -- which is where the silver medalist stands. Then, right about 1:40-1:41 -- if you look -- it looks like Tim was corrected by someone and starts walking over to the Bronze medal stand.
That was so sad. Jagudin was so happy. everbody was. everybody except of plushenko. Of course Jagudin did deserve to win but I can feel with plushenko, too.
