What I do, and it has worked for me everytime, is to infiltrate the camp, get the map THEN get Pickle and GET THE HECK OUTTA THERE. Assuming you don't waste time, then the Hind usually doesn't show up, or it shows up when you're very close to the end point, and it takes some time to zone in on you, so you have plenty of time to RUN LIKE HELL (if required)

@micked12 In this take, No.. I had to finish the mission off camera. At the end of this take I was really happy I was at the end but like I said in the annotation, I found out Mr. Pickle was way behind. That's why you see me looking at the map at the end Lol. But it's pretty much the same routine in the video just make sure Mr. Pickle is FOLLOWING YOU!

when I finnaly beat this mission, after 30+ attempts

it was luck

i ran like hell and turned around whilst running past the bridge.

Looked like an action movie the chooper was shooting inches behind Pickle with pufs of dirt popping up around his feet.

yeah this mission was pretty irritating, good job to anyone who passed it. Oh yeah to deal with the helicopter its usually a good idea to pick up a grenade launcher from one of the fallen terrorists. But if you don't get one of those, just pick up an AK get to the second floor of a buliding (make sure Bravo Team and Pickle and inside a building first), and then open the door but don't go outside. Go prone and look up into the sky, wait for the heli to show and just mow it down, takes about 3 mag

when you have to take Pickle head to the extraction point, go through the hole that you blasted in the wall and RUN!! dont look back. I got chased by that hellicopter and only one of my guys, pickle head, and myself made it to the extraction point. None of the mission in the game are hard at all, it's just that both enemy and friendly AI do a lot of stupid things that makes us fail a lot. But that's the developers fault, not ours. SO dont give up. Congrats to us all who passed this mission. =)

lots of memories on these games good n bad ones,but socom was 1 of the reasons I had a ps2,this game is the toughest out of all the series ESP this mission u got lucky cuz everytime there be a chopper after u it drove me nuts lol. I've kept up with the tradition I have a ps3 now :p plus I still got my ps2 I've got the newer smaller model and reg size one :).  Great vidz tho I enjoyed em

WHY THE FUK OS A HELICOPTER SHOWING UP WHEN I PLAY THE MISSION? AFTER RESCUING MR.PICKLE, A FREAKIN HELICOPTER APPEARS OUT OF NOWHERE AND MOWS DOWN MY WHOLE TEAM!!!!! THIS IS THE MISSION THAT MADE ME QUIT PLAYING THE GAME AND I GAVE IT BACK TO GAMESTOP!!

it took me about 2 to 3 years to pass this mission because i can't take down the helicopter but finally i passed it 2 years ago it was very hard i just keep running after i cross the wall with one the bravo team only

@TheChamp267 Oh my brightness was all the way up, I used night vision throughout the whole walkthrough because I wasn't sure if the viewers would be able to see.

@nameless135790 The last few tries I made it to the extraction point,but my teammates got killed.The way I beat it was to have Boomer in the sniper tower by the generator and when the helicopter came back,he died.However,it allowed me to complete the mission with Bravo Team in reasonable health.

im rely GhostRider6489 and dont u know how the hell to kill the freekin HIND n some games u shoot it and after tht u destroy it but n this game u die if u try to shoot and i also read at a gaming site tht u need to shoot it from a window or a door i tried tht alredy but its above me so i cant kill tht mutha $#%^a!!!!!! can u help me?

@tina1962pr Best advice don't take it down just rush through the mission and you'll be fine. be sure to do everything stealthy before turning off the generator. afterwards kill everyone in your way and most important run for your life.

I'm having serious trouble with this mission at the moment so I came on here to see how you got through it. My main problem is setting off the alarm and then rushing into it. I need to be patient and I'll be fine.

Also, how on earth did Mr. Pickle get left behind here? He was clearly following you as you were running out of the prison. I hate when that happens. Also, the end part is very difficult too because there are so many terrorists in the last area.

@mastermaestro AH I have no idea. One moment I clearly see him behind me or close to me on my map, next thing I know he's way behind.. what's worse is he gets shot by the helicopter....!!

Lol while this mission can be a pain, its fun to see that chopper fly out of nowhere when your close to your extract and have it kill your entire team xDD
