oh my god dude,its been 3 years since ive seen one of those, my dad drove an excel 3 yrs ago in costa rica, and letme tell u its a hell of a car, 4 years of extreme use by my dad plus it wus like 8 years old when we got it, and it never got broke or gave any headacke. i dont care what ppl say bout hyundais, the truth is that theyre good and reliable and it sure makes me remember of a couple of good moments long gone when i see that car.

Yes there are very strong cars since 1995 and that because then hyundai didn't make engines then and all the engines before 1995 were by general motors.

In Hyundai's early years, the engines were by Mitsubishi, not GM. Believe me. My family had an Excel for five years.

well actually they were refitted with a diff engine after 1990 i think...i own an 89.runs well...its bushi engined.same engine is in the bushi lancer 1993.k.if i have money and time and a friend thats a nmech u can put an evo engine /trans in there which i won't do..lol
