i have a keyboard but it seems like i can only record 1 sound at the time so i need a computer when i make beats anyway. do u know how i make it record over the old track withouth toltaly replacing it on the keyboard?
hi, im going to be buying a song making keyboard, and was wondering if there is any good ones that have all different instuments on it like guitar, flute, tuba, and more for like under 200$ would really like under 140$ Thanks!
man this isthe most helpfull video on youtube id say for advice on setting up a studio, iv subscribed almost as soon as the video started, also i could dowith some advice from someone like you who knows what your talking about, i am buying a quad core 27" imac, i am wanting to set up a home studio for producing (making my own beats and tracks) and i will be recording vocals alot and i need realy good quality, do you think you could send me a complete spec list of everything i will need, thanks.
If you're looking to build a home studio, you could just buy a StudioBLADE and get it all in ONE unit! The StudioBLADE combines your PC, audio interface, keyboard and controllers in one Keyboard Production Station. No need for additional Software (full version of Studio One Pro included), just plug in your speakers or headphones and you are ready to go!
you cant use logic's sounds in garash band. And you should suggest people get a Audio Interface and a Controller. Barely and MIDI controllers have XLR's and i doubt even yours has phantom power therefor it cant support any mic over like 50$.. Workstations are rarely used for producing beats its all digital! Even the people that use workstations into Logic many times use it as a MIDI controller for all the virtual instruments. And if you need a sampler get a MIDI controller with pads!
@CaseyOBrienMusic You should do your homework before you start assuming... If you have GarageBand (or Garash as you called it), you can buy "Jam Packs" which are upgrades to sounds. The whole series of JamPacks come with Logic. Load Logic you have the JamPacks... I use them everyday!
My midi controller is the Novation X-Station... Look it up. All of my mics are phantom powered and one of them is an AKG that costs about $1,000...
Workstations are in every studio I've ever been in.
haha ive done my homework thanks.... all im saying is i have logic along with alot of other DAWs and all the sounds i have in logic i cant open in garash band.. i understand i can use garashbands sounds in logic but i cannot upload logics sounds in garash band. I know what MIDI controller u have im just implying itd be a smarter ideal first set up having a normal MIDI controller and a interface. Workstations are in every studio but if you have MIDI and logic theres no need
@9489660 a MPC 500 maybe or a old used 1000 might cost under... I got a brand new MPC for 850. Which at the time sold for over 1000. But ebay or craigslist i guess
I'm going to college soon and i have a mac mini 4gig ram 500gig hdd. Planning on updating to the mac 24" and your midi controller i'll eventually buy.
i'm going to have an incredibly neat system since i'm getting rack effects Toneport ux8 and Toneport Pod x3 pro. I'll eventually buy an electric drum kit, but i'll wait until i move out LOL
great vid buddy.. i watched like 12 of these home studio joints.. and they were soooo unprofessional... you really put things into perspective for me.. thanx again
Thanks a lot... and a lot more to come. I've been trying to upload one for the past 2 days but keep getting an error after 3 hours of loading... Yeah, I have seen the 9... Saw it this morning... Thanks for time and comments

you can just use a computer and use a slicer do sample people. :) you don't NEED an mpc or a workstation. you can do EVERYTHING on a computer.

I hope you'll post some videos teaching what you can do with your equipment. It's very interesting how to produce music with these products.
