This is inspiring. Just wondering - what is your coding background. Is this your first attempt at a game? My knowledge of computer graphics is limited to the University course that I took on it (introductory level) a couple of years ago. I'm really interested in getting into this sort of thing, so I'd love to hear where you get all your information from (eg. the various technologies and features/effects that you have worked into the engine thus far).
I actually have been programming for.... 8 or so years now, and I'm 21. To teach myself programming I wrote games (back then in visual basic) so I've had a lot of experience. Since I've had such a long time programming all my techniques have been collected from all over (and I've made some up myself) so it's hard to pin down specific resources. If you have questions about specific techniques, I'd be happy to answer.
This is showing some pretty good potential, and it'll be interesting to see how it shapes up as the final engine. Best of luck to you and your team, SP.
Looking nice! How are you planning on implementing ambient light? Are you going to pre-process lightmaps for the static geometry or were you going to try a screen space ambient occlusion technique? If you're using deferred lighting, it shouldn't be too difficult to implement SSAO.
Yeah, twitter was recommended to me so I figured I might as well give it a shot.
We are trying to take the tactics off a grid, although it'll still be turn based and won't try to blend genres there. The point will be to make you think about your moves and plan.
More details on the actual gameplay later... Theoretically the game designer will join the project today.
Also, the explosion is awesome! And there's not that much else to do =P
that's one sexy game right there :D

This is just a sandbox test of an engine, it's not supposed to make sense/be a game yet.

SSAO was the plan... I actually was hoping to extend it to full SSGI, but I have to see how doable that is.

It looks really good. I'm impressed with how much you've done in only four weeks.

Wow it's looking really good. And that's a lot of lights, though there could be more. That's pretty cool.

This is the worst gay nightclub I've ever seen rendered. Where are all the dancers?

You guys sure love that explosion. :P
It's looking pretty solid already. Free walkaround could be workable in a tactics game, but could get complex when judging spell ranges etc.
Twitter should be interesting to catch all the mini-updates not worth mentioning (or forgotten about) during a devlog video.
