this is, honestly, lame, i mean seriously talking about the records in 2010? everyone was very much aware of the gold and green music disks by then, second you go in there on a server and you are clearly in god mode, because the zombies do not harm you in the least, it would of been far more interesting if you had fought for the record. also i may be wrong but how is it that you had an alpha code in the late part of 2010 i was to believe they had reached beta by that point

NOT everyone was aware of the existance of discs by then since there were no proper way to spawn items so you had to find them in dungeons or having a skeleton killing a creeper. Thats why people even bothered watching this video. Also I was playing on a multiplayer server and back then the mobs were only experimental and with no ability to harm the player. And the alpha code is true as beta was reached in December that year.

hit a creeper with both them and let a skeleton archer shoot the creeper he will die dropping a green/gold disk...

there must be an audio section in the game that has audio files that you can mod. unfortunately I have no idea if they are like wav or mp3 files or like midi files.

@coondogtheman1234 The sounds are in the .ogg file format, and I'm sure that there is a way to change the music file. Maybe the sound is an actual part of the in-game item, and you would have to change the entire item and such. I don't really know, I'm not very good at technical stuff like that. :P

OK so if the audio files for the music are in the Ogg Vorbis (.OGG) format then it is possible to change the music heard. just take any song and make it into .ogg format and rename it like the old file and back up the original. then when you play the record hopefully your song plays. I have some experience modding music and sounds in games. I did it with the old game duke nukem 3D and a casino slots game I have.

Actually, for anyone who wonders. This is a multiplayer server from back when the difficulty setting did'nt matter and mobs could only spawn in dungeons but deal no damage.
