I'm guessing the new costumes (ie. Jack Sparrow lookalike) are to capitalize on what's popular today.

Also, Dschinghis Khan was created in 1979, so I would expect that the majority of their original fans would now be 40+. And any of their fans who were older back then (40+) would be 60+ now.

It could also be a special venue that catered specifically to an older crowd. Some places do in fact have 30 and 40+ nights so they can have a night out without youngsters around.
