I was looking this movie and thinking, wtf what have i watched, in my opinion its not a movie but a really hughe trailer, good pictures and character costumes but no storry at all
Assault Girls was done by the man behind Avalon. There are strong references between both films which makes me believe this was meant to be a sequel? It might help seeing that first to get a better understanding of the backstory. Avalon, the 9 sisters all of that is explained in the first film to some extent. Although I did like the concept of both films but fell somewhat short. The character which played Lucifer, Rinko Kikuchi. I really liked her role in Babel as well as Brothers Bloom.

If you want my honest oppinion? It's not that it sucks, it's just that it seems like a group of high level players were playing an MMORPG in a Virtual World ontop of our own Reality, which they were based in a low level Plains Land area, & it was completely based from the Games point of view, & very little from outside of the games point of view, nor did it explain practically anything at all, which is why I believe it sucked, I just think they went with the wrong setting & through in non sense.
That killed the movie for everyone... They focused too much on a mere snail on a rock, over the actual movie it's self, geeze, other then that, it was a perfect movie, but if they want anyone to watch Assault Girls 2, which I seriously doubt it'd ever come out, but if they did, i'd seriously think they should pick the pace up a bit, if they want people to actually go, & enjoy the tittle, a bit, heh. Until then, this tittle was for me, the worst slowest movie of all time mostly it was the snail
@dekoy08 I got it on Blu Ray for I think $19.99, or cheaper that is cheap for Blu Ray, & that is because it wasn't that good... Honestly, who wants to see a Snail crawling in the desert in a futuristic movie, for 20 mins. streight, just not my cup of tea, lOlz...

Srry, it's not CGI, it's Live Action, but I did get the fealing there was alittle bit of Final Fantasy in there, somewheres.... Heh... & Grey was in the first FF CGI Movie, heh...
@2425ym So what's your point? The 80's produced some of the greatest sci-fi and fantasy movies ever made. I need only mention such titles as "Return of the Jedi," "The Dark Crystal," "Blade Runner," "Labyrinth," and "TRON" to give you evidence of that.
Approximately 90% of the interesting parts in this movie were just played in the trailer.
