I have suspected for some time that the judges are often commenting on the rehearsal performances and this backs it up. They often don't even pay attention to the singers during performances. Still, you would think that Jason would have put some zip into his performance after hearing what she said but he didn't. Nice kid, but definately not Idol material.

First of all, I don't think the show is scripted. Remember, Idol has full dress rehearsals which the judges probably get to see, even if from monitors in their dressing rooms.
