Actually the Pangea theory works best with a conception that the Earth is flat - because if it's a globe then the Pangea theory needs hella lot of ocean floor to have vanished on the other side when breaking up and drifting.

If doesn't vanish it melts and goes back into the mantle, underneauth the plate tectonics. then some is created as the plates move away from each other. And remember its a slow process.

Also i think its already been extermely well established that the world is indeed not flat. The earth is capable of a lot, give it some credit :P
