Hey, I only noticed the lanyard ring because my saw doesnt close properly if the lanyard ring is inside the leatherman, it gets stuck at the lanyard ring. I have to push up the saw a bit, so that it gets on top of the ring. You didnt have the same problem?

WTF??? I've had mine for 2 years and had no idea about this either! I have one question though. Why do they tell you that you can "buy" another lanyard ring for $10 to put in the empty slot on the other end by the file.. makes absolutely no sense if it already has this!

how do you adjust a tightness on pvt point ? I think I got the tight one especially the main blade, it does not come out smooth like on the other side attachments. (In this video, you can pup out blades and saw with one finger easy).

Personally, I would say the Wave. The super tool is nice if you are going to mostly use the pliers. It has the best pliers of any of leathermans tools and it has removable/replacable wire cutters. However, the wave has a bit holder and you can buy the set which includes like 40 bits plus the blades, saw, and file are accessible from the outside without the hassle of opening the tool everytime.

yeah. truly what is the point of having a lanyard attachment if theres already one built in. you know the one like the pocket clip, i feel they should have just had a knife like pocket clip. like a spyderco with screws., btw with the charge tti, and all leathermans like it. the pocket clip BLOWS.

a lanyard is a strand of paracord (a type of rope like material) braided in designes

a sheat is a leather or nylon pocket for the tool it is shown at the beggining its the black thing

Ha... neat little trick! I admit that I didn't read my TTi's manual, so I didn't know about the lanyard ring. The only problem is, it's on the wrong end of the tool. I find that if I sheathe the tool with the lanyard ring(s) facing up, the exposed blade shoulders catch on the elastic and tear it up. I have a small light in the side pouch of my sheath, so that doesn't help. But it would be nice...

I love the Charge TTi, great all around tool. I don't know if I would really recommend the clip for it though. I found that it weighed my pocket down too much, and I'm a fan of solid steel handle knives. So I stick with the nylon sheath.

A warning regarding the Leatherman Wave/Charge pocket clip, Jeff.

They are very fragile. Instead of just bending out when you catch it on something, they just seem to snap in half.

I've gone through 2 and decided not to replace them anymore and just use the belt sheath.

I've got a Surge too and a Wave. I like them both, but I have to say for some reason the Wave is made better than the Surge. My Surge rattles and sticks and isn't that smooth. I've even had it replaced before by Leatherman and it still isn't very good fit and finish. I still like it though.

I learned about this feature a couple days after i got my wave. I was wondering what the saw kept hitting and i noticed a little metal piece so i started to move it with a screwdriver, and then i was wondering what it was so i read the instructions. Personally i don't think that having a lanyard on a wave is very practical because the wave weighs so much.

i would suggest not getting the clip. had one for my xti. used it for less than a month, and the clip snapped right in half. aside from that the tool was way too heavy for being carried in that manner.
