I know that the world may listen to this song and think of a romantic lover, but I've never done that... I always think of our Lord Jesus... because every lover will let us down. Not our Lord Jesus though...

There was so much time wasted as I went about my own ways. I am so sorry that I wasted all that time.
In other words make sure you are saved !! Don't rely on praying a prayer alone for the rest of your eternity. Salvation is a supernatural event that only God can do, so if there is no change at all after your "salvation" then you should not be afraid to question your salvation. This is too important to just assume that you are because of a prayer. We know that you can't lose it, but the question is sometimes whether or not you are saved.
I would like to add Matthew 7:14 : "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." After you are saved there should be some evidence (not talking about works) as in your life should change and you should become more and more like Jesus Christ and less en less like the world. If you pray that prayer and nothing changes ... then it is (very) likely that you aren't really saved.
That's entirely your decision, but remember, GOD LOVES YOU! He will never stop loving you. If you ever feel worn out and depressed, He'll be there, waiting for you to turn to Him. I pray that you would accept Him as your Savior.
All those commands were eliminated through the death of Jesus Christ. His death did away with all the rules of the Old Testament Law. Now we serve the Lord because He loved us so much that He sent His Son to die in our place.
Please understand...God and Satan are NOT fairy tales. That is a lie from Satan. He's going to hell anyway, and he wants to drag as many people down with him as he can. Don't let him destroy you. Choose Christ - choose life.

Zarathustra, Mohammed, Nanak, Siddhartha, Joseph Smith, Guru, L. Ron Hubbard, and many other religious figures all supposedly lived lives full of miracles, gathered atleast millions and even billions of followers some to this day, and taught men the divine secrets to attain salvation.
And every one of their followers will tell you the same thing.
Their prophet, their guru, their holyman-superstar is the real deal, and all the rest were either misguided, a fraud, or didn't really exist.

Exodus 35:2 - God demands that we kill everyone that works on the sabbath day.
Deuteronomy 21:18-21 - God demands that we kill disobediant teenagers
Leviticus 20:13 - God demands the death of homosexuals
Deuteronomy 22:13-21 - God demands that we kill girls who are not virgins when they marry. There are lots of verses like this
