@mangagor If you choose the wrong answer from the first self question, it just loops back to the beginning of the self question. Also at some points both answers are correct, like both of the reasons they're demons (which, he doesn't really believe they're demons, but anyway). Also the after battle part both conclusions lead to the same thing.
