@Rezyne@Rezyne I never said he sought to interpret it for himself.And many prophets do not understand what is being revealed to them,only God can obviously interpret it for them.The book of Daniel gives us interpretation of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar and gives us daniel's dream,the time is coming when many will run to and fro and knowledge shall increase.Context is key.The Holy Spirit helps us understand the word..trying to without the holy Spirit is setting yourself up for failure.

The issue is that the interpretation in Daniel's book says nothing about 'son of man' or any such person. Are you saying that the interpretation given to Daniel was incorrect or incomplete? The issue is that your interpretation differs from Daniel's interpretation. I think you should reconsider your evaluation of the passage.
@Rezyne No,those with the hardness of hearts do not hear the words of God,only the Holy Spirit an interpret for us.All Daniel did was see a vision and in that vision/dream he described what he saw.And one of thing things he saw was something like the Son of Man coming in the clouds of glory-I already told you the way we can try to understand prophecy is by comparing scripture with scripture and when we do that, he see this is a prophecy about Jesus.

@Rezyne Yes he was,the Jews that still deny him do it out of a hold heart, not a matter of truth.The Old Testament tells us the Messiah would be "taken like a Lamb to the slaughter"(hint hint, Jesus is called "the Lamb of God"..the OT also says his hands and feet will be pierced,that he will be betrayed,and so forth.And I don't know, prophecy is a very delicate issue and takes years upon years of study and guidance by the Holy Spirit.

By the way, that 'one like a son of man' is not a single person, but a collective group of righteous men.

@Loves- Daniel had many visions. After each, he would say that he was troubled or did not understand. Yes, Dan 12 does say the knowledge of one of the visions was not for him to understand. But the vision in Dan 7 was fully explained! In Dan 7:15, he asked for the FULL and TRUE meaning of the vision, and one of those nearby explained it to him. Read Dan 7:15-16. It was explained. He saw 4 beasts- not kings. It was explained to him that the beasts are kings. (cont)
@Rezyne he had visions...all he did was explain what he saw in them.And the angel did not say that to him,if you keep reading on to the next verse in chapter 7, Daniel says " to HIM(one person)was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom..."Hum...sounds like the prophecy of the Messiah once more when compared to the book of Isaiah and the life of Jesus.It was one person.The four beasts are not the Son of Man,beasts in the Bible usually refer to Kings of Kingdoms,like "the beast"(antichrist)

So Daniel KNEW and understood the interpretation. Now what does the interpretation say about 'one like a son of man'?
@Rezyne He gave it to us, one being coming in the clouds of Heaven that will have an everlasting kingdom and all dominion, power, and glory.So when we compare scripture with scripture, we see it is Jesus.I will give you an example of a parallel scripture. Revelation 1 is giving a description of Jesus and down in verse 13 it says "one like a son of Man"..by the context defines this being as Jesus Christ.

@Rezyne when talking about context in the bible the WHOLE bible IS part of the context - NO part of the Bible is meant to be unerstood in isolation from the rest. So Daniel needs to be read and understood BOTH in its immediate context AND in the context of the whole.
2.the interpretation is described in the rest of the chapter(too long to fit it all on here)..and no where does it once refer to the Son of man being a group of righteous men, if you read the Bible as a whole and compared scripture with scripture, you will see the same kind of prophecy.The beasts making war against the saints but good always prevails in the end.

Now we do not know the names of those men, but we know that it was not referring to a single individual. Just as we may not know who the kings are, but we know that the beasts are representative of kings/rulers. I'm not saying that Jesus was not one of those saints, but if he is, he is clearly not the only one.

1. Muhammed PBUH did not had any son, he had an adopted Son who was not Blood related, so when she got Divorced He married her, and this is an example for Muslims.

@Rezyne @Rezyne I never said he sought to interpret it for himself.And many prophets do not understand what is being revealed to them,only God can obviously interpret it for them.The book of Daniel gives us interpretation of the dream of Nebuchadnezzar and gives us daniel's dream,the time is coming when many will run to and fro and knowledge shall increase.Context is key.The Holy Spirit helps us understand the word..trying to without the holy Spirit is setting yourself up for failure.

The issue is that the interpretation in Daniel's book says nothing about 'son of man' or any such person. Are you saying that the interpretation given to Daniel was incorrect or incomplete? The issue is that your interpretation differs from Daniel's interpretation. I think you should reconsider your evaluation of the passage.

@Rezyne Yes he was,the Jews that still deny him do it out of a hold heart, not a matter of truth.The Old Testament tells us the Messiah would be "taken like a Lamb to the slaughter"(hint hint, Jesus is called "the Lamb of God"..the OT also says his hands and feet will be pierced,that he will be betrayed,and so forth.And I don't know, prophecy is a very delicate issue and takes years upon years of study and guidance by the Holy Spirit.

@Loves- Daniel had many visions. After each, he would say that he was troubled or did not understand. Yes, Dan 12 does say the knowledge of one of the visions was not for him to understand. But the vision in Dan 7 was fully explained! In Dan 7:15, he asked for the FULL and TRUE meaning of the vision, and one of those nearby explained it to him. Read Dan 7:15-16. It was explained. Dan 7: 15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. 16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me KNOW THE INTERPRETATION of the things.
So Daniel KNEW and understood the interpretation. Now what does the interpretation say about 'one like a son of man'?

Revelation 1 is giving a description of Jesus and down in verse 13 it says "one like a son of Man"..by the context defines this being as Jesus Christ.

@Rezyne when talking about context in the bible the WHOLE bible IS part of the context - NO part of the Bible is meant to be unerstood in isolation from the rest. So Daniel needs to be read and understood BOTH in its immediate context AND in the context of the whole.

2.the interpretation is described in the rest of the chapter(too long to fit it all on here)..and no where does it once refer to the Son of man being a group of righteous men, if you read the Bible as a whole and compared scripture with scripture, you will see the same kind of prophecy.The beasts making war against the saints but good always prevails in the end.

@Loves (cont)- Neither did he know who the 'one like a son of man' was- so the angel explained to him that it was 'saints of God- righteous men' who would be given authority. Now we do not know the names of those men, but we know that it was not referring to a single individual. Just as we may not know who the kings are, but we know that the beasts are representative of kings/rulers. I'm not saying that Jesus was not one of those saints, but if he is, he is clearly not the only one.

Sura 3:54 Arabic: Wa Makaru wa makara Allah wa Allah Amkaru al Makireen.
Likewise the phrase of Allah "being the best deceiver". kheir ol makarein, is also used of Allah in Suras 8:30 and 10:21. Sura 10:21 says Allah is the fastest in planning/deceit
