This is the coolest thing to happen to photography in the last 10 years. I was getting so bored with digital and missed my Polaroid 330,340 and 250 cameras. My 14 year old daughter also thinks Polaroids are really neat despite having grown up in the digital era. Keep up the love affair with instant!
I love instant photography. I am the proud owner of a Colorpack II which uses fujifilm fp100c color and fp3000b b/w and a Polaroid 600 camera which uses impossible film. There is such a visceral feeing from shooting instant. That spur of the moment off the cuff feeling you don't get with digital or even 35mm.
I own a One-Step, Land 210, Land 101, and the marvelous SX-70 Model 1. I prefer the SX-70 because of its elegance, but I use the Land 101 MUCH more often because of the relative affordability of the film. Love your podcast guys!
If you are looking for a great deal of creative options, go for pack film. Not only to pack film cameras allow you to adjust the focus, exposure (before and after the image is taken). There are also many techniques to modify your prints. Polaroid direct transfers and diffusion transfers are amazing techniques to experiment with.
for quality and price I would go for fuji packfilm. plus its nice that you don't have to shield it from light right away, and a free negative is always packtastic! gotta love those bellows!
