The Moto-meter (measures radiator water temperature) you see on top of the radiator at 1:15 were fairly common in the automotive world since 1912 (until someone realized it would be handier to have a temp gauge in the dash). They often had faceplates custom made for each manufacturer, this one says "Lombard", and are available on ebay.
