This card is amazing for its price, I am running a 430watt thermaletake psu, it says that card requires a 26amp 12v rail but I have an 18 amp and its been running strong for a while now, only bad thing is that the card can run hottt but not too hot

i recommend the HIS HD 4670 IceQ turbo edition. it has even lower power consumption and is perfect for gamiing :D

No i just bought the card from best buy sale for only 70 bucks, the card is long, and i hope it fits in my rig, but you don't need a power connector.

I am using a Emachine Single core 2.4ghz processor LE-1620 and i have only 250 PSU and it works perfectly. Just make sure you don't have alot of junk in your rig. I only have one Hard drive, one external hd, and one sound card , thats it.

The Temps at idle are 60c, when gaming depending on the game stays at 63c.

@somervillearron those things are for stock components and barely meet minimum requirements for them so I'd advise you to buy a decent PSU from corsair or OCZ at newegg.com.

Corsair psus are reliable but more expensive. Coolmaster and ocz are very cheap and just as reliable.

Nope, and you don't need a high end PSU either. You can run this card on a 250w psu.

The question is what exactly has changed to get this rather dramatic improvement in efficiency? Are there fewer VRMs on the unit? I doubt the latest 40 nm technology is being used, NVidia hasn't released a 40 nm GPU with this many shaders yet.
