I think this nurse is the same guy in the Hormel commercial. He and a co-worker are told they have 10 minutes for lunch because the client is arriving early. The lady pops one of the Hormel things in the microwave. The guys RUNS to a takeout place, is EATING the sandwich while running back to work, rolls over the hood of a vehicle, yells back "sorry" to the driver, makes it back to work, finishes the last of his sandwich, shoves the wrapper in his pocket and says, "ok let's do this."
I Think The Thing I Love Most About These Commercials Is That Publix Really IS A Pleasure To Shop At. They're Closest To Home, So My Sister And I Go Often, And Have Yet To Have A Sour Experience. All Their Employees Are The Best. The Holiday Commercials Just Capitalize On The Publix Experience.
@wizoski I have a brother N law who worked for Publix for 23 years he got a great retirement from them & now he works for advanced auto parts distribution for the last 6 years, he will be 50 next year.
I work at a hospital and this one really touched me as I will not be at home this holiday as I will be working in the hospital. I am not complaining. Merry Chirstmas!! Great job Publix!!!!
@mitch449 hey I guess somebody's gotta do it , I just wanna say I appreciate what you do for people, & you have a great holiday season this year & God Bless.
I believe this was either their 2005 or 2006 commercial - at most, it was 2007, because I remember seeing this on the TV when we lived in the southeastern U.S., and we moved out of that region in May,2008.
I always looks forward to the "Holiday' ads from Publix, but i think they started to phone it in with this one - not least by combining T'giving and Xmas. But despite the inevitable sweet ending - which wasn't very inspired, by Publix' standards - there was a lot that didn't make sense.(An impoverished nurse, has to catch the bus,yet lives in a massive Apt building with his own HUGE apartment.Unless that's ATL it's prob Miami or FLL).That's Publix fault - not yours :) Thankyou dearly for sharing
some people would forego the car in order to have more space living in what seems to be in/near downtown. still, hilarious that this is even being discussed
@leanbarton That would be mom. Oh sure, she LOOKS innocent enough. What Publix DOESN'T tell you is that Mom is not JUST handy with KITCHEN utensils. Mom has her own set of LOCK PICKING tools in a monogrammed case, no less! Dad got her the case the Christmas before this one! : D
