I've got a Model D that i'd like to sell. Bought it back in '75. Gigged for about a year or two then put it in storage. And there it sits. I'll take B/O.
Man, I woke up, grabbed a coffee and turned on the youtube. Saw your video as the first of the day. And it was awesome! Super sound! Good analog tone! Congratulations! and thanks!
@TheSongsparrow I beg to differ! I think something is lost when uploading this to YouTube. There's nothing "canned" about the Old School, and although the Model D sounds fantastic, the NEWEST of them are now 30 years old. Thirty year old electronics are a bear to maintain, and I certainly wouldn't care to gig with that.
@brianmcnett I own three original Mnimoogs - have just recently acquired and restored my third. I regularly gig them and have done so since the mid 80's - with absolutely no problems. They are reliable and solid. There is nothing wrong with 30 year old electronics, believe me....!!
@justplainpaul The Prophet '08 is awesome. It's a fantastic synth all around. I've had mine for nearly two years. If you can, get the Prophet '08 PE. The rotory encoders on the original tend to gum up and become erratic with time. "PE" stands for "Potentiometer Edition". It uses potentiometers, rather than digital encoders where ever it's possible to do so. That makes long-term care easier. Otherwise, it's still an incredible synth. My go-to instrument for all sorts of things
Thanks. This was incredibly fun to do. The OS cries out for a really good effects chain, so I plan on adding some Moogerfoogers. My setup will probably grow to include one more keyboard, and I'm looking at a modular.
There's some... okay, quite a bit of echo on the Moog, but the Prophet 08 is basically dry. The Moog seems to cry out for an effects chain, as I've said above. I don't have one, so the effect are all digital here.
Absolutely amazing. The delay on the moog gives it such an intense "stellar" sound. You're playing exactly that combination of synths that i beg to have someday. :) Pro08 and MMVoyager OS
Going to have to hurry on the OS. Moog is only making another 40. Then it's going to be a bear finding one, just like the original. :) These two will hardly be the last word for me, I have two others I want, but gratification must wait.
thats awesome ;)

Hi ...sounds like a great combination!..the theme reminds me of the Who..are there many possibilities with the Prophets CV connected to the Mini?

Great job. But the mini sounds canned compared to the Model D. The Prophet 5 is warmer as well. It's shame the best synths are long gone.

This is awesome. I've been torn between a Poly Evolver or a Prophet '08 for awhile. I think I found my answer.

Spellbinding. Dude! You have got to cut an album - even if you release it over the net as download or burn your own copies.
