  • Linus your video is awesome , with are decent clouse become better good job

  • Hey...sexyenrique...and...Venddenta...Shut the FU you nerds...jealous because he can afford it....and you turds cant!!!!....

  • Motherboard : Gigabyte x58a-ud7

    procesor: Intel Core i7 950 3,07 GHz

Video card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 470 1280MB GDDR5

  • For this configuration, which would be most appropriate for RAM 24Gb of memory, and if it's good to make the maximum supported by the motherboard.

  • Did he say strap in or strap on?

  • if u click on 0.59 , he kinda of looks like a gay porn star

  • @robrocks56 And how would you know what a gay pornstar looks like?

  • I'd like this board even though it's old and I already have a G1 guerrilla, but I like the look of that board.

  • @illkillyoubitch Oh thought it was the EX original version. Either way ///

  • Dear santa............ NOW

  • Uggh hes opening it on the carpet.. what a waste of a truly phenomenal board.

  • @madgagge

    yes

  • @madgagge It sure does! Thats what im using

  • Is this still a good board?

  • @SPUNKKK Yes, a very high end one.

  • they way you're touching, fumbling and fiddling that board sitting on your flokati carpet with just some synthetic pants makes me think there is a real chance you destroy that board before pluggin it in the first time...

  • awesome shirt! :D

  • why do you want 2 ethernet inputs? can somebody help me with that? i want to learn

    thx

  • @clinte1 for example, you could build a router utilizing full port speed (1gbit) instead of using one port for routing thus having only 1gbit/2

  • @clinte1

You can connect to 2 independent networks , say one for gaming with your friends in the neibourhood and the other for internet input.

  • I got this board in combination with my i7 950. Pure ownage

  • The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But Elite controllers don't want ppl to be free from the costs of energy,Find a motor that needs no fuel or input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Let the revolution begin!

  • i bought this motherboard today only!

  • SATA 3.0 is SATA revision 3 so it is SATA 3.0. Yes, SATA 3.0 runs at 6 Gb/s.

  • why did you paint your hair ? :D

  • make an unboxing of gigabyte x58a-ud5 plz, i like the ud7 thanks

  • can't you be nude and give review hahahahahhahahaahahaha floor review

  • @bredjoe 3/8 tubes ;)

  • um linus got things wrong.. all 4 white sata connector arent sata 6gb only 2 of them are 6gb and other two are just regular sata 2 but runs in differnt chip set den ich10(south bridge)

  • what tubes i have to use, if i will use the watercooling of this board?

  • hold on i aint no bitch but are you supposed to be on the floor, on a carpet surface touching a very high end mobo?

  • got me one of these, and the i7 6 core and got my younger brother the younger brother version which is the X58a-UD3R and a 930. we'll see how well mine stacks up against his, he boasts that he saved well over $1000 for the same performance.

  • Got this last month!! Still haven't got around to overclocking my i7! ;P

  • Just ordered this board, it'll be here in 3 days. Can't wait. And I'll make use of the sata III connectors with a Crucial Real ssd 128gb which supports sata III :]

  • Linus arent the yellow ports usb/esata im not sure i heard it in some other review... very well done though now im sure which board i wanted to buy

  • you sound like that guy from skunk fu

  • lol so funny on the floor nic review cool 10+

  • Nice presentation...

  • Asus P6X58D PREMIUM vs Gigabyte X58A-UD7 ???? What to buy ??

  • @dansobolanu ud7 by far their bios is the best in the bussiness they are the only board maker that has been able to impliment dual bios perfectly dont know how to overclock no worry it will auto defualt ive never haasus has whats called cpu peramitor recall and it has never worked for me my 1st x58 build was a x58aud3r first day took a 920 to over 4.0 booted with no probs

  • this truly is a monster... up to24GB of ram o.O for i7 only...can't wait to get one of these next month... im like a high tech spec gamer x)....and to look at this motherboard...man sooo many plugs xD.... great stuff and thank you for explanation...gotta sure becarefull how to unbox it....

  • @stelixdj I have this motherboard, it's awesome. Integrated in to my water cooling loop nicely.

  • the yellow usb at the back is usb/esata combo

  • look he has no couches or furniture LOL XD to much computer partsjkz nice vids man keepem coming and also keep in mind if you can compare and review with different boards from different companys thanks mate

  • can you put an i5 670 in it or should i just get the i7 but the cheaper version

  • What ram do you recommend for this board, other than the Manufacturers list!

  • @TheNego I used 6GB Dominator GT 2000 with the stock XMP profile. Works like a champ.

  • only 2 of the white sata conectors are sata 3.0 while the other 2 are sata 2.0 ports! there all white though because they come off a separate conroller to the others which run of the ich10r southbridge!

  • @addzkebabs

    correct

  • @addzkebabs thank god atleast somebody knows. this guy needs to learn his stuff.

  • @wardandvictor agreed

  • @ 1:09

I beleieve the branding says SATA 3.0 because it's understood as revision 3.0

So actually SATA 3.0 is the Correct term.

    SATA rev.1= 1.5Gb/s

    SATA rev.2= 3Gb/s

    and now is

    SATA rev.3= 6Gb/s

I understand, you're probably saying someone can get confused if they don't interpret the labeling as Rev.3.0 but I think everyone knows 3.0=6Gb/s

So If it's understood as Rev.3.0 then it's actually correct.

  • @itchyfingers89 Mate Gigabyte is the best motherboard brand you can get..Im getting my x58 ud7 in a few days!

  • Is GIGABYTE a good brand???

  • @itchyfingers89 ya this is a great board from a great brand

  • good short review! ty sir

  • Linus looks gay.

  • on the back panel are also esata (yellow), which can be used as esata and usb. When i get this right from the handbook

  • Awesome board! I love gigabyte stuff

  • i looked at this board before, it looks freaking awesome !, i hope i can get one of these, great unboxing

  • @TylertheGeek28 it's a pretty nice board. My brother has one. I use the eVGA Classified myself, but Gigabyte makes good stuff.

  • @CPUMaster500 cool, i didnt know u had a brother lol, yeah it looks good, cant wait for the rampage 3 extreme, that board looks even better then this one

  • @TylertheGeek28 Whoa, Asus is making a Rampage III? Nice. I had the Rampage II, but my watercooling system had a leak and fucked it all up. That's why I switched to the eVGA Classified.

  • @CPUMaster500 i would be ticked off if that happened to me, yeah it looks pretty cool, regular ROG red / black / dark grey theme, they released the rampage 3 for p55 some im hoping that it will be out in the next few months, but the only thing i really hope is that its 6Gb/s and full usb3.0 not both, suppose to be 4 x16 slots, 2 x4 um forget the rest, looks like a really cool board

  • @TylertheGeek28 Yeah, I had a total shit fit. I was pissed. I spent $430 on that board. Thank God my processor survived. But things could have been worse...

  • @CPUMaster500 yeah now the board is still about $400, good thing u noticed the leak of u might have lost every thing

  • Review done on the floor, WTF!!!, looks like he had to sell all his office furniture to afford that board LOL!!

  • @sexyenrique @ScHMiLLa81 Lol... 1. He didn't but the board, it's a sample board for people like Linus to un-box and GIGABYTE will make more money from the commerce. 2. It's not going to be used, just passed around to different people to advertise.

  • I have this motherboard, it's simply amazing. Highest overclocking, best build quality, 333 support for next-gen interfaces, and full compatibility for all XMP profiles.

    Simply. Amazing.

  • @mhaneline does the board have water cooling for the eandom chips around the cpu

  • Nope, heat pipes for those, although there is an aftermarket water block that fits around everything on the board, it's amazing.

  • just bought me this motherboard its awesome

  • this or Asus P6X58D Premium?

  • @xBLINDF1R3xKIDx this, it owns plus usb 3.0!

  • i heard the asus was better

  • i want to know if there is anyway to buy that overkill heat sink. i think it would look great in the build i'm planning.

  • hopen u can help i just got a x58aud3r mobo lookin to buil this weekend little scared because i see that the bios is f1 beta and thats the only bios availiable know anything about this board?? as its so new i cant find anyone with it

  • running it @ 4.0Ghz (for now) @ 1.232V

  • can this fit a NH 14 without bothering the 'overkill' heat sink?

  • I have this mobo and I have to say I am very happy with it. Stable OC 20x200 on a core i7 with 1600mhz triple channel on third try to get it stable.

  • the thing at 2:53 is just for like a crossbreeze sorta thingo so more air flow..... i tihnk....

  • how can he get all that products he always open different products is he make of money!?

  • bro he works for ncix

  • i bought this mobo yesterday is amazing!

    : B

  • @Lumar231 I'm about to order it today :>D I hope your right!

  • i so wish i had that board!!!!! :"( send me !!

i wonder what they do with the boards after unboxing... especially when u unbox with socks on and on a carpet :S? just throw it away? :(

  • lol he's on a carpet and wearing sucks haha r.i.p. awsome board :(

  • your a retard if you think that would kill that mb.

  • @ifym1 true its the spark that kills the board.

  • this thing is beast even supports gulftown with the 32nm... too expensive and i'm happy with my 333 amd 790x gigabyte and phenom ii 955... gonna upgrade to huban nex yr... and if x58 price drops i'd be gettin this! xD

  • that thing you don't know about i think is the "helper" to hold down the sli bridge I THINK

over all i like this video and i like this guy that's doing the video

  • You missed on some things : Not 4 6GBs sata 3 ports but : 2 Gsata sataII ports wite 2 Sata3 6Gbs ports wite The other 6 ( bleu ) are SATA 2 on the intel controller ... The yellow ports on the back , there are combined usb & esata ports , and not only usb ! You was right with the bleu usb 3 ports ( bleu ) The bracket ( with venitlation holes:p ) is for securing your sli bridge of falling ... And the PCI_E slots are : 2 x PCI_E 16 2 x PCI_E 8
  • Got this board coming, from what i have rear the four esata ports, two are powered 3.0gbps and the other two again powered 6.0gbps, if you look closely they both look different but both appear to be esata, this is my take on it anyway.

Pita about the passive cooler taking up one pcie slot and your gfx card taking up the other, bit of a silly design fault if you ask me.

  • thanks for unbox

  • dude ever heard of static electricity!!!!! use a bench....not carpet!!!!!!

  • Yah, while were at it, lets touch all the contacts on the back of the board, etc...

  • good vid. thanks for sharing

  • if u buy the mobo and install it how would u get on the net if u do not install the lan driver?

  • U cant, u need 2 install the drivers, even 4 USB, the LAN driver comes on ur mobo's driver disk anyway...

  • i got this board and i regret it cos my 2 GTx 260s dnt fit so im only runing one card atm :(

  • Dnt fit ? did u tried to stick it in third or fourth pcie slot ?

  • yer my power supply sits to high to fit in the 3rd one and the second one makes my pc fail for some wierd reason idk

  • excellent work!

  • Nice of you to be the only one with a review of these motherboards. =)

  • i have ordered this board along with

    cooler mastrer v10

but i dont know if it fits

  • what have you done with your hair

  • i just got mine today it is very heavy comparing to a normal mother card

  • add the following to your tag to get rid of the windowboxing:

    yt:crop=16:9

(zooms in on the 16:9 area, removes windowboxing)

or just google: "YouTube Formatting Tags"

  • you didn't point out that some of the yellow usb 2.0 ports can also be used as e-sata ports too.

  • wtf is wrong with your hair

  • I count myself so lucky to be living in the same city where this guy works haha

  • if the guys at my local shop knew half of what this guy does, i'd be in heaven

  • I would love to have that board

  • USB 3.0 is here already?

  • yes

  • nyc hair dude...xD love it

  • nice haircut but why blonde ? So if u think i don't like it NO i like it but i'm just asking why blonde ?

  • What speed RAM is natively supported?1800?2000?

  • DDR3

  • speed not architecture

  • nice to see Gigabyte manufacture competing motherboards in the high performance market ...

their new boards are impressive... I'm definitely gonna use them for a build.

  • kool shirt!

  • this board loooks awesomeeee gooo gibabyte though i use an asus lol

  • So will this board require SATA 3.0 compatible Hard Drives in order to get that 6GBps?

  • me WANT ...

  • What happened to the hair....

  • nice haircut.

  • I got me a MA74GM-S2 i love gigabyte lol this board even survived a nasty psu burnout=)

  • That stick is to hold down the SLI bridge, the hard one not the flexible one. So it doesn't fall or something while moving the case.

  • Long live Gigabyte. I own two P55-UD3R and I have to say that Gigabyte's motherboards are the most user-friendly on the market. Great stuff that works well!

  • you forgot to say that the SATA 6Gbps uses the SB ICH10. And the USB 3.0 does support USB 2.0 flash drives

  • so u cannot throw 3 285gtxs for instance as the 3 pci xpress slots are sliced all in one row.

  • Such an awesome board.

so stable, so powerful, so RELIABLE !

  • I can see your legs.

  • How are you supposed to download the drivers from the website if you can't connect to the internet since your ethernet controller isn't installed?!

  • I had that same problem heeps of times so annoying

  • i don't like the color gigabyte use for their boards. I prefer all black, like evga do

  • This one doesn't look too bad.

  • How much does this retail for?

    Good video.

  • Meh.. I wanted this board but i couldn't w8 and got a ud5 but it still pwnes :)

  • Im pretty sure that brace thingo is for heavy HSF's.

  • Rivals the Classified!

  • hmm, i want usb 3.0! and where are you? and serious? are you canadian or american? dude, it's winter with shorts what a man!

  • dude i love the hair

  • he should have gone WHITE.

  • What did you do to your hair?? I don't find you as attractive any more. Jus a kid.

  • Very nice board. Happy with my EVGA SLI LE though :)

  • I was waiting for this

    BTW funny hair

  • First it was the hair and now "grand papa" i swear Linus you get gayer by the day.

  • LOL. I agree.

  • Great job Gigabyte. More competition in the market place is always a good thing. This particular board is pretty overkill for me though.

  • Great unboxing video, and nice board, probably my next upgrade.

Just wondering about the extra cooler that comes, do you have to take off the water block for it to fit or it works also with it?

  • The extreme is an excellent X58 board and its really tempting for me to go out and get a UD7, but I'm curious to see what will happen to newer boards since the lucid hydra chip got pushed back to Q1 2010 (And if I buy a new board, I want to have hydra multi-gpu support)

  • What is this hydra shyt you speak of oh wise one, i am still stuck on socket 775.

  • The hydra chip is similar to SLI/Crossfire of sorts, however unlike both CF/SLI it doesn't use AFR (Alternate frame rendering) techniques, rather it will allocate the rendering of a background and the rendering of player models to individual GPUs for example, which theoretically would mean 100% performance scaling.

With the hydra chips as well, apparently so you can mix and match ATI and nvidia cards to run side by side using hydra's multi-gpu tech.

  • Comment removed

  • @EvilDante2000 dude wtf is a nivedea?

  • sorry i meant Nvidia and that comment was fucked up anyways i'mma remove it

  • :>/

  • Lol, does triple channel memory mean it can hold 6 sticks? And how to you fit 24gbs in that. I've never seen a 4Gb Ddr3 stick.

  • there are a couple of manufacturars makeing them now they will be mainstream in the next 6 to 12 months.

  • The bracket that Linus didnt know is a SLI bridge bracket, its supposed to hold the bridge in place during transport aparently

  • I have that shirt!

  • i like gigabyte nice coloring on the newer boards :)

  • Yeah, they got the name Legobyte because of the random colours of their old boards XD

  • rofl, didn't knew that yet :P

  • Owch, the focus at the start melted my eyes

  • Awesome Board Awesome Hair!

  • linus i didnt know u were gay

  • NOOO ARE U SERIOUS?WHERE IS LINUS?
