HJ was my favourite singer in the 80's. He made so many great songs yet a lot of these 80's compilations CD's rarely have his tracks on them. whats that all about?
but its nice to know that Howard is still doing well in the music business as a record producer.
that's what i thought... i remember taping it during the summer of '92, although i wasn't sure if it actually came out at the time. I remember songs by the year I taped them in middle/high school because i would listen to them a LOT during that particular school year, so now those songs have become a photo album :)
I met HJ at the Grammy Awards after-party in '83 or '84. He performed at the awards with Thomas Dolby, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder. He's a cool cat.
this was high tech stuff in its time, the concept was first used by hank williams jr then natalie cole but i like this video the beast--nostalgic and classy
I LOVE Howard Jones. Half of these songs I don't recognize until I start playing the video! I'm gonna have to get a Greatest Hits CD, if there is such a thing! Anyone know what movie that is in the video? What a cute idea! I love his videos!
I think you actually mean DAVISON, not Davidson (sorry to pick nits, I'm a staunch Whovian). And you're right, the resemblance is fairly close (except for the hair)!
Hojo was one of many 80's musicians which were underappreciated however very talented and not easy to forget once you get hooked on his synth grooves. His music typically will make you happy and bouncy !
in the running album is one of the must underrated album of everytime. with huamn's lib the best realese of howard . the best album of all 90s

In 1992, it actually peaked at #32 on the US BILLBOARD TOP 100, so it was a Top 40 song (minor hit)
