I dont know what keep of kalessin you hear.. but i can easily tell the difference.. true they are inspired by kal, but we're all inspired by something..
Everything originates somewhere..
To Aeon, i fucking love it.. i play black metal in Sort Regn (a danish band) ..i love keep of kalessin, and my opinion is that youre doing a very very good job, youre not too similar, but its clear theyve influenced you which is great.
I don`t want to be an asshole, but really guys, this totally sounds like a rip off of Keep of Kalessin... Even your vocalist sounds exactly like the guy from Keep...
I thought Black Metal was meant to be a subgenre of metal where you try to find somehow your own style... This Sounds like mainstream within Black Metal.
I see what you mean and we obviously hear the similarity - they are infact our heroes! But I can tell you that since this is our first song EVER, our later releases will differ from this sound and become a more original one.
I believe that Black Metal wasn't meant for anything! Just a different take on that sort of music by certain people. That's how we approach musicianship in general too - we don't make things based on anything else than our minds and creativity!
@AeonThroneOfficial One needs time to discover the inner music everyone has and so it all comes down to your fantasy and creativity. Everybody's original, but they need time and inspiration to find their own sound - especially as a group. We're a group and so we need time to discover our sound!:)
@DIONY5O5 Thank you very much!:) Don't stop your critics, we need them!
That line at 4:15 is actually not a quote, it's a part of the lyrics, but I would most probably think so too if I were to hear the song the first time! :P
Just to put my two cents in.. When I first heard KoK's Armada, I thought it was a total rip off of Mayhem's Chimera and Grand Decleration's heavier and faster songs. To be fair, when I first heard Aeon Throne, I had the same thought as DIONY505, and this song is somewhat KoK-like. But that certainly does not apply to the whole "Dawn" EP. So I'm sure the next offering from Aeon Throne will be great, and with time they'll have a completely original sound.
@AeonThroneOfficial I believe that even if you want to differ from most bands out there, at least the famous ones, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE! How many "own styles" can bands discover??? There are more than 80000 registered metal bands and 500 (maybe more) really famous! It would be really difficult to differ from all the bands and gain an own style and NOT sound like another band, if you know what I mean.... You did a fantastic job, keep up :) Greetings from Greece!
when are you going to finish your EP??? cant wait 4 it ;D
