I bought this record new with a bonus cd that has like 23 rare songs for 40 pesos (which is like 2.5 Dollars). And they say there's no such thing as luck!! haha wankers!
Without a doubt, E.C. has laid down some of the best lyrics in songwriting ever (imo).
I have always been excited about getting a new E.C. record/disc so I could lay there and get lost for hours in the lyrics. I really love the E.C. website now! Having the Liner & Production notes is fantastic.
story of my life. haha, Elvis has a great gift for writing stories and poetry: an amazing gift of perspective, he never minded dropping the machismo that we associate with rock-stars. Also the Attractions are one of the worlds most under appreciated bands. i could write books about how well Bruce and Pete lock it in.
"the clock struck the letters of your name, both midnight and noon...i threw away the rose and held onto the thorn." ever song is full of gems.
from Punch the clock played it to death, its sitting about 4 feet from me...but this is the first time i've heard this track in about 10 years...shame on me.
that song feels great to listen to. Piano and Bass!!

The best outro since 'She's So Heavy', in my humble opinion.

I'm still suffering from shooting my mouth off too much, too frequently.
This song will always be a haunting favorite that will never loose meaning.
