  • like the song but the dancing is making me nauseous :-)

  • TEENAGED MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!!!! TURTLE POWER!!!!!!!!

  • People were dying faster in the 80s n 90s because scientists didnt have the meds they have now where you can live hiv undetactable for the rest of your life,it was unfortunate baltimora(jimmy mcshane) didnt get this far now in days to get the wonderful meds they now have for this terrible disease...r.i.p cheetah n jimmy mcshane..

  • TOTP was never live, so it's a mimed performance. It also tells you the year and month in the corner of the screen. Epic tune tho, live it.

  • Great song, 80's moments never comings back, beautiful times with my girlfriends.

  • Just what I needed to cheer me up after a rough week!

  • dude it says september 1985

  • where all live performances in the 80's lip sung or something?

  • bring back memories, memories when music was music!!!!!!!!!love it.

  • he looks different with out any make up

  • @bunnykEy7 He looked so much younger.

  • hes lip syncing

  • @evilgerry12345678910 most artists do when performing on stage, but at least he's not plagiarizing, in ref to millie vanillie

  • @tedtug Milli Vanilli didnt really pagirized i mean it was a contract and a agreement the people that REALLY sang got money for it so IN MY OPINION it was just a good show and i actually like em

  • @schievo89 I really don't know the details about that, but something bad had to have happened for one of the singers to have had committed suicide

  • remember watchin some show called "behind the music" or something like that on MTV back in the 90s and according to what they said he just couldnt stand people making fun of him for what happened, i believe he was basically being harassed and or bullyied (spelling) .

  • @schievo89 it's unfortunate because their music, whoever sang it, was actually really good, and it still is, I still hear it every now and then when people bust out 80's old skool classics at bars, clubs, and even in my own car!

  • @evilgerry12345678910

Yeah he is but its not his voice on the song thats why, he was just the frontman

  • i love you Jimmy you are so handsomeeeeee rest in peace!

  • 80's music were the best...

  • what drug did he die of?

  • @asylum086

No drug killed him, he died of Aids.

  • To the 17 of you, obviously in a FOG .... the energy, the vocals, the jungle orchestration -- what's NOT TO LIKE ?!? ... GET A CLUE !!

  • when did he die?

  • @stuart38 He died from AIDS-related complications on March 29, 1995 when he was 37 :(

  • @HoshiKawa2000 a sad,pointless death.i heard he was a really tidy chap...

  • I was 14, dancing to this at the disco that was on a caravan site and having the time of my life thinking I looked the biz in my white high heeled shoes and rah rah skirt!!

  • Wow, so many years ago...

  • Died from Aids. BIG surprise there.

  • @826bmp Haha that just made my day!

  • @826bmp Lmao!

  • @826bmp I just love it when people like you show just how evil and bigoted you are. Then you put your mean spirited and inappropriate comments on the internet for all the world to see. All I can say is: Karma is a bitch. You send out evil and negativity, and evil and negativity comes back to ya. So watch out!

  • @826bmp

    Why? he wasn't African.

  • Respond to this video... Why? he wasn't African.

  • o0 wee watch out for that head snap..night to night dodododo POW! <3 lol i hear this almost every day on the 8o's @ sky.fm i love how hes so into it

  • Top of the pops always had its performers lip sync just because it was easier to record the show that way. Until sometime in the late 90's they changed their policy and let people sing live.

  • O yes, this is it!!!!

  • wow he is so lip singing. it sounds JUST like the recorded song.. and with him jumping around like that so much he wouldn't sound so stable, he's had a bit of a shakiness to his voice.

  • Feel good

  • Comment removed

  • definitely not live.

  • I'm not one of those YouTube trolls who say everything is fake but this is not live. If it is, it's one of the biggest lip synchs ever. I adore baltimora, I swear!

  • @Emmibolt Top of the Pops always made bands lip sync. Very few bands performed live on there.

  • uhm that dude jimmy mcshane wasnt a vocal in baltimora. he was just the "face" for live and tv apperances.... real vocal was their keyboards man - maurizio bassi..

  • @Lundvalnaden How do you know that Lund??

  • @madmikeastoria ive seen that on the documentary show on TV long ago. google it and you'lls eee its true ;) they've picked him to be the frontman bcause he was better looking and knew to dance

  • @Lundvalnaden Wow! Talk about getting japped for credit.I wish we hadn't lost so many good artists from drugs and aides.Imagine if Mercury was still here. His voice would have still sounded the same :(

  • RIP Jimmy McShane you were great.

  • 80's were bomb.

  • ♥ it... every moment which goes by becomes history...

  • baltimora en vivo cantando tarzan boy

ke chingon xd vivan los 80s

  • Its not live at all!!! but very nice new wave song!!!

  • sad dead really sad dead so young

  • Too Bad he died of AIDS... GREAT SINGER... MAN IS A LEGEND

  • @DoctorComics He's not singing, he did backing vocals for the band . He's actually Irish and the singer was Italian. He was made the front man for his personality and talent for dancing. I just learned this and it SO WEIRD!!

  • @olliojenarter Whatever it was.. I'm not going to dig too deep just to ruin my appreciation for this beautiful song.. thanx happy holidays..

  • VERY、NICE、SONG!!!!!!!

    ☆(転蓬)国士無双☆

  • ahh,,now i know a little bit about him,,anyways this song was hit in the philippines wayback in the 80s,,,greatt music..

  • Live? Playback!

  • Amazing Baltimora>>>>>>>>>>>

  • faggit

  • TARZAN ROLL'D

  • nostalgia anos 90

    trilha de tartarugas ninjas 3

  • No offense but did he really sing or did he just lip sync? Love this song regardless.

  • I hate to say this, but I like this record! lol.

  • Great song , but why do i suspect lip syncing :S

  • @Dantaeus probrobly becuase he is... he is, the guy that sang this song was the keyboard player

  • i heard this from TMNT3 back in the 90's. damn you nostalgia! lol

  • @saltyninja01 Me too! I love the live-action movies and used to watch them as a kid.

A couple of years ago I finally got the DVD of TMNT3 and I heard this song, Googled it and now it's definately one of my favourite songs of all time.

  • ESSES SÃO OS MELHORES DOS ANOS

    80. iLOVE YOU BALTIMORA

  • Jimmy McShane died on 29 March 1995, of complications from AIDS

  • he died off aids around the 90s ! he was gay boy

  • Baltimora 80s Name is Maurizio Bassi 23 May 1957 ITALIA

  • i absolutely love this song. its my fav of all time. idc if its not his voice or hes gay. i can shake my ass to this all night!!!!!!!!!1

  • I remember the first time I heard this song in 1993 in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles In Time. I was probably 7 and it still stands out as one of my favorite memories as well favorite songs.

  • jajaja en esa epoka se bailaba diferente ,,,, pero aun asi la rola me encanta

  • classic base...

    likem alot!!

  • two words; gay fuel

  • super music

  • what great lip syncing

  • This is year I was born lol

  • true dat zrizzelanelgo XDDDDDDDDDD

  • Baltimora 1995 Q.E.P.D

  • Love you, and miss you, Jimmy. Only the good die young...

  • @cottonceena u mean he is dead??? :(

  • @pyjwwe yup, he died from aids,

  • @cottonceena u mean he is dead??

  • @cottonceena

    That is so true.

  • @cottonceena

very true mate but theres nothing poetic about dying from natural causes i guess

  • It is not a live performance. Tarzan Boy was sung by Maurizio Bassi with Jimmy McShane doing the background voicals. Sort of Ironic since Jimmy McShane was the frontman for the band but their biggest song did not feature him on lead vocals. Therefore, that was a lipsync version since it shows Jimmy McShane "singing".

  • @mastrcrd super lame. i don't like being deceived.

  • love it

  • This song bring back memories! I remember this from the movie Ninja Turtles III :) I was 3years old and I first listened it that bar scene. After 14 years I already know the name of song :)) :))) I LOVE IT!

Indeed he was gay but that doesnt matter :)

  • @FensalirCZ exactly haha I seen TMNT 3 when i was 5 lol

  • my favourite song of 1985 , big gay anthem , love it . r.i.p .

  • Playback...

  • @PaltryPete Yeah, and a shame, too. I was hoping to hear a live performance for the first time.

  • @TheLastYogurt They could never perform it live because it's not him singing. It kinda blew me away to lean this.

  • @olliojenarter Very interesting. So Baltimora is the Milli Vanilli of Italo disco. Okay, maybe it's not that bad... :D

  • @TheLastYogurt LOL, not really, it was a well known fact even at the time in Italy. People totally loved this man, it didn't even matter. I think it kinda adds to the charm of it all. :)

  • awesome song

  • Gay Fuel. Lol.

  • @boomslang86 lol!

  • this awesome he die of aids , rip. gay we love u dude!

  • oh hoh ohh hoh oh oho hoohooho ho ho

  • @MrEdgetaker lolz

  • GAY!!!

  • @bigbosslau Yes...if you cant understand...you are...

  • reminds me of beverly hills ninja

  • @superfan150572 Jimmy was a yummy piece of work....... so sad he is no longer with us. Love him too........Ah I will ask him for many encore performances in Heaven.......of every kind!!!!!

  • i love this song and whole '80's music

  • love it

  • Me causa mucha nostalgia de los viejos años

  • É o mais da hora......

  • Apparently Jimmy McShane is the lead vocal for Baltimora but Maurizio Bassi actually did the lead vocals for this song and I guess McShane has more of the stage presence so they had him lip-sync to Tarzan Boy at every performance.

  • @Luellan Bassi is the lead vocalist, for some reason Mcshane (frontman keyboardist) always lipsynched their songs :S

  • JEFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Fuck'g playback!!!

  • Really fun. bouncy song. Reminds me of clubbing in London..

  • good song but that's so lip syncing.

  • 0:51 you can see hes lip singing

  • I got mad respect for this guy! Grats man! You own.

  • this is 1985, seems to be one of the many times he performed this single on TOTP. The mix used is the vastly superior "Summer mix".

  • i dont know about you haters but this song is freaking bomb!!!!! i tried bboying to this song hahaha

  • So many of these 80's singers are dead and seemed to die in the 90's.

  • ye their awesome

  • before the AIDS drugs, which were originally available to the highest bidder. Politically, the 80s sucked. Reagan and Thatcher. For gay people it was a pogrom by neglect and gross indifference.

  • Maurizio Bassi was the keybordist, music composer, lyric writer and SINGER of this song and most of Baltimora's.

Jimmy McShane was the front man and lip singer of the group. Why? Go figure!

  • Why? Because he was more marketable and appealing to the public eye, not saying that the other guy was bad, but music is a business and whoever can attract the crowd gets the most attention. Look at Gene Simmons, and that Pete Wentz guy from that Fall Out Boy group. Bassi was absolutely the most talented person of Baltimora but he wasn't the most appealing to the public eye.

  • really?

  • THE BEST SONG!

  • y u don't shut yuh ass u was there when he was doin tht yuh fuckin assholeeeeeeeeee let the man rest in peace and for de res of alyuh who don't like him go and fuckkk yourselvesssss shitt man

  • You should go to fucking school and learn how to spell instead of playing on a computer you scrotum sucking moron.

  • Wonderfull , but i think that this is Playback.. but nvm 5/5

  • lol!! AND Mili Vanili was the ones that got busted 4 LIPSYNCHING!! LONG live BRITNEY, huh???

  • FU mayoskywalker. I hope they still play Tarzan Boy in heaven..

  • @KevinVO don't worry i'm sure they do.

  • This song reminds me of a bar in the place where I grew up.

  • well bassi has not ever sung this song or any others has he?i know jimmys RIP gone but i mean if jim is not the singer why hasnt the other dude done any on stage singing?

  • I have the original LP on vinyl!!!

  • Wondeeeefuuuuuuulll

  • Great Video!!!

  • Jimmy McShane, from Derry in Northern Ireland, was the frontman of the group. Lead vocals were performed by Maurizio Bassi, including lead vocals on their biggest hit Tarzan Boy despite the fact that McShane lip synched while appearing in the Tarzan Boy music video and not Bassi. Bassi was also the group's keyboardist.

  • this guy cool only 2 years they were famous

  • ke kanzone d'altri tempi! Grazie Jimmy!

  • is this the real singer

  • No. The Italian organ player signs on the studio recording and it's voice you hear. Jimmy is lip synching the words.

  • this guy rules

  • I prefer the video clip performaces due video effects.

  • This live performance is much better than the official video version, even if he is miming.

  • Is it true he is from ni

  • @huvander - yep.

Sure just look at the head on him!

  • Always a classic!

  • F.D.M.

  • Jimmy..... love you and miss you, RIP. One of the best songs of any era!!

  • Who got the first place top pop?

  • Why?, Was he gay?!!

  • yes, he was. he died of aids as well. he wasnt even the singer, he was just the front man

  • Who sang then?

  • I kinda like the extra synth bells starting at 0:18. Still not a fan of his dancing, but hey, the 80s, right?

  • love it! i dance like him lol

  • I could just dance to this music, long live the 80's !!!!

  • @zrizzelangelo i hope you mean the 90's considering the official release was 1991.

  • @AtticusRh0des What? This song was released in 1985....
