Perhaps you should ask if the pilot what altitude he was flying and if it was safe for him to be at that altitude.

Cats seem independant to some of us, but the fact of the matter is, they form very strong bonds with their owners. they would rather adapt to just about anything in order to go with their human.

I was a passenger. The pilot has over 50 years experience flying planes from cessna 172 to boeing 747. It was a calm day and I could easily put my cat in her carrier at any time.

I do not reccomend anyone do this, but nobody on our flight was worried.
