  • @kombabakh Haha, yes he does!!!

  • When my kids ask me ''Daddy, what music did you listen to when you where our age?'' I'll show them this.

  • I think this was the first time Piggy D played live with Zombie.

  • he's not lip syncing as much as it seems, they just processed the living fucking shit out of the vocal pre amp. You can hear he's winded at certain parts and he stops at exact points. but i agree, his voice doesnt sound remotely natural here.

  • John 5....without a doubt one of the best guitar players to grace this earth!!!

  • He's definitely lip synching..bummer.

  • @shogunwarrior32 not really......

  • Actually, he's accompanied Rob with keyboard samples, as is the custom on Letterman. Hey, are you guys serious? Do you really think anybody is shocked by Metal anymore...ugh, wait...I'm having a...a heart attack, ahhhhhh.....

  • paul did not shit his pants, he became straight.

  • I wish I could have got him to play at my wedding.

  • Rob always dances well!

  • This is a major kick ass HELL YEAH

  • John 5 and Beetle juice = The same person.....

  • i fucking love this.

  • Love his jacket

  • This is the most exciting, most vital music performance ever seen on the Letterman show.

  • man this song kicks ass but did rob lose his vocie

  • looks awesome live

  • Good job at dancing around and pretending to sing. Don't get me wrong I'm a big Rob fan but he must've lost his voice before the performance.

  • love it

  • those hats are full of WANT

  • Good thing the tape didn't skip

  • Tommy Clufetos on drums

  • John takes off his hat and lets his hair down. Then Rob does the same and so does the bass guitarist.

  • ICH LIEBE DICH MEINE LIEBE ROB ZOMBIE !!!! \M/

  • John 5 looks straight out of beetlejuice in this video. This is not an insult, by the way.

  • Whoa hold up people have been posting up Piggy D was playing bass in that video? When they released Educated Horses Blasko was playing bass for him and he always had that Schecter bass that they made for him. Is that Blasko or Piggy D playing bass in the video people??

  • not live

  • Piggy D. is the best bass player. young, talented, and full of energy hahaha not to mention all the others in the world. including me....XD

  • I FUCKING LovE THAT JACKET!!!

Any1 know what brand it is?

  • Check out Allen Coates/Broken Man. Youtube. Pretty cool! John 5 is one of the all time greats! Thanks!

  • check out, Allen Coates on youtube. Broken Man. First video! Pretty cool! Rob Zombie Rocks, Keep it up. Thanks!

  • hit like if you think Paul and the CBS orchestra shit their pants

  • Rob is the only guest on Letterman that actually fucking ROCKS!

  • Why can't more of rock bands like zombie still perform on late night tv shows? more musical guests damnit!!

    oh, and Zombie kicks ass!

  • my guess would be YES, but who isnt

  • just a thought...Ya think Rob is a maiden fan

  • This vid should be entitled: Rob Zombie destroys the Ed Sullivan Theatre.

  • the drummer as said by Krusty is Ginger Fish now, X manson Drummer.

  • /watch?v=CKKMOMp8wPA&feature=related guys u might like this cover!!! pls fucking take a look at it!!! Rate and comment!! u will fucking like it!!

  • Lip synch. i no longer give a fuck

  • I want one of those bandana's :(

  • @Preacher666 ebay

  • the rob zombie concert i went to was the second best concert i ever went to in my life it was a blast. the first greatest concert was ozzy

  • @mrguitarman151 i'd say rob zombie is #1 for stage presence, but not for music. Ozzy would top that

  • @KrustynailsVideo yeah i think your right. at the robzombie concert it was just crazy cause of like you said stage presence. but ozzy is just legendary so i thought my balls were gonna fall off when he first walked out!!!

  • @KrustynailsVideo The drummer plays for Ozzy

  • @sameoldshitthistime rly? i think the drummer they have right now is the drummer of Slipknot

  • @KrustynailsVideo Joey only played with them through 2010. Ginger Fish is Rob Zombie's new drummer.

  • Only Rob Zombie and his crew could turn Letterman into a fucking EXPERIENCE.

  • i like his misfits style jacket

  • does anyone know where there is footage og Rob Zombie on Letterman with Phil-X as his guitar player??

  • its not lip syncing because there is lapses in volume, they just put effects through the the vocals

  • they're just syncing to a backing trap... what a jip

  • @Swingfinger Nope, you can tell because you hear the mic is on when he hits it near the beginning.

  • @BIGxBOSSxx1 He may have the mic on super low with a backing track playing but he is definitely lip syncing... Why is he trying so hard to hide his face/mouth as he sings?

  • @Swingfinger He always sings like that xD

  • @Swingfinger wahhahaa, you think so?

just listen closely... @1:35 ...." 20 innocents", he doesnt even say that fully, he SINGS: 20 'innocen'

and theres more of this stuff throughout the song to be heard.

  • Has anyone here ever heard of a vocal effect??? That's why he doesn't sound so shitty here.

  • cool song but hes playing with a backing track, thats not him singing... listen to his other live shit... sounds nothing like this!

  • @hillhead420 i dont think so you can hear his voice stop a few times when he headbangs so i kind of doubt it

  • @AcidBugler i think theres a track and him singing, his voice just doesnt sound this good anymore...

  • @hillhead420 if that was the case the track would continue when he himself wasnt singing, you can hear a couple parts where he leaves out a word and a pause here and there so i really doubt it...

  • @AcidBugler I really wish you were right, you might be idk... i fucking love Rob, its just weird that his voice changed so dramatically from shows before this and after this??? somethings different...

  • @hillhead420 or he could have pulled a very good performance off after all, you don't perform on the letterman show every day, even zombie

  • holy shit john 5s HAIR

  • playback ... ;(

  • david doesn't sound too impressed lol

  • I want his jacket so bad,

  • MY VOLUME WON"T GO UP ANYMORE!! CCRRRAAAANNKKKE IITTT!!!!

  • Ahhh, the beautiful harmonies and melodic instrumentation/vocals and driving rythm reminds me of the days when I was 6 years old and left for hours to wonder in the city cemetery! ahhh those were the days....

  • ok, i know john 5 on the guitar, piggy d on the bass & rob on vocals, but what is the drummer's name? he's amazing...anyone?

  • @MrAnthony78666 it´s Tommy Clufetos, he´s now with Ozzy

  • @zniscal thanx, dude

  • is it just me, or does it seem like he's not actually singing it

  • @LP4life84 i agree..listen to him live..he's always winded

  • @TheTacopPieLover lol not to accuse him of anything but something just seems off about it, like you said he always sounds winded, can't really hold notes. idk man

  • Cowboys from HELL!!

  • john 5!!!!

  • he's lip syncing

  • @Wickedgardengtp Prove it.

  • Best Letterman show ever.

  • A question please, what effect is using John 5 at 0:18 ? and the distortion? . I got the Zoom GFX-5, I think I will buy the Behringer HD300 Heavy Distortion.

  • @Deyvis71 The effect pedal at 0:18 is a Boss CE-5 Chorus. The distortion is from the amp with a boost from a Boss Overdrive.

  • @xmortixviventix Thanks Man..that was helpful,,,

  • Letterman NEVER SAW IT COMING

  • awesome song by Rob

  • fuck yeah that was awsome

  • sounds better than on the album

  • So weird to think that John 5 has played for Manson, is playing for Rob Zombie... AND KD LANG LOL

  • @TheRikcarter Not to mention Salt n' Pepper, Rob Halford, David Lee Roth and waaaaaaay too many other people to name XD

  • @hooplablahblahblah Okay the rest I can believe, but SALT N PEPPER?! LOLOLOL

  • @TheRikcarter I know, right?!? But I guess we all gotta do what we gotta do XD

  • Rob Zombie always kicks ass!

  • Don't hate on me. But I actually think that this is plaback. Everything but the drums. Everything sounds too mixed. Especially his voice. It's just a theory though. But after watching several other live shows where he sounds like ass it's pretty convincing for me. Could be age though.

    Still badass though.

  • @Kain223

I get paranoid like that some times but don't worry about it, his vocalization here is different than the studio version of this song, he deepens it up at times and the riff at 1:58 was new.

  • @Kain223

Or at least the riff has higher notes than the studio riff.

  • @Kain223 I think he's using a chorus or phaser type effect for his vocals. I used to think he was lipsynching too until I realised that every breath he takes matches the vocals, not to mention the ad lib yell he lets out at 1:22

  • @TheRikcarter I'm sure it's lipsynch!! He's far from that perfect live man!!! It's too perfect.

  • not thats him

  • @Kain223 Agree!!! It's lipsynch all the way!!!

  • i touched his bead

  • WTF why does rob sound badass here but in every other live performance he sounds either like shit or that he is out of breathe?? whatever still love Rob Zombie \m/

  • @BassGanja i think it is because this song is more suited for his his voice and hes getting older

  • @BassGanja Because this is just one song and the rest of his live performances are normally entire shows. Plus I think the gear here is a lot better... the soundman must be really good at his job.

  • @TheRikcarter that's true

  • @BassGanja And I think he used vocal effects on this... sounds like a chorus or a phaser.

  • Rob embodies the same rage to rock at his age that Metallica did during Master. He's still got it. I don't mind him synching his own words - that's what people come to see him do..........sing his songs. (I don't see any caveats on your ticket0

  • Some of my favorite songs are from the White Zombie days, but Rob is no live performer, he's a 'studio voice'. He's singing over his own vocal track here like he's always done live. Sounds good, but that isn't him by himself on the mic. Growing that beard and not stomping around on stage to put himself out of breath were some of his best moves to date.

  • quite impressive...

  • Can't get enough of Zombie.....

  • Ma fa rocks my shit with that heavy tar la la!

  • John5 is a sexxy beast!!!

  • this has more views than the actual video

  • Zombie is my favorite Sick bubblegum LOL

  • Just can't get enough of the guitar rift, amazing performance as well!

  • @89Esti89 I almost cry during it. John 5 is amazing.

  • @89Esti89 Did u check out the animated version of this song?

  • zombie and john5 they should rule the world

  • he can have his trouble live but he is so raw and such a fantastic artist!!! check out his zombie live cd, awesome!!!!!

  • I did see in another video that Ginger fish formerly of Marilyn Manson is playing drums for him. Pretty soon I hope he recruits twiggy & then he will have the Manson band playing for him

  • @rollow5150 im almost 100% that twiggy wont leave manson

they have been friends for a very long time and they r not just simple band members

  • Do you think that if the band had more time, Zombie would get naked?

  • Lol it's funny how all of their hats fall off by the end of the video

  • I wonder if Letterman's suit and tie wearing friends switched the channel during this performance....

  • @joshuabrooks21 Who?

  • @TomFromJersey You know, the conservative FCC....

  • From his lastest album

  • Rob is the man. I brought my son to see him and Alice Cooper. We were front row. He will never forget that show.

  • @writerj112 Hey me and my husband were at that same show. and we were in the front row too! Awesome show.

  • woulda given my left nut to see them live while they had this lineup except for Joey Jordison on drums! Piggy, John5, Rob and Joey! fucking god-like lineup!

  • i love rob zombie. but im pretty sure he is either lip-synching here or singing along with the track

  • @36bigmac Tv shows usually mean that its live in the studio, but they lay the track over on the sound that goes to the tv audience because the acoustics in the tv-studio pretty much suck....

  • oi everyone. Chill about the Pantera thing. Man Pantera took White Zombie on tour with them. They opened for Pantera. Zombie and Dime were like best mates. Chill.

  • yeah but thats for any one,,, i mean when im performing live and rockin sometimes its hard to sit still,,, lol and make some mistakes,,,, no different than a sport,,,, we allfuck up,,,,, at times its human,,lol i want to be the next guitarist fro rob,,,, if john ever would move on,,,, but for now,,, shit sounds good,,, way change,,,,, but im just saying lol...........

  • I was at his concert in wichita Kanas they opened for Pantera and they Kicked Pantars ass!!!!!!!

  • @jasonmildward34 I know I wasn't at the concert but come on! Darrell Abbott had more talent in one pinky than all of White Zombie combined. If he was playing the solo for the song "Floods" on an acoustic guitar while on the toilet, he would still sound more epic and kick ass than White Zombie on their best night. Pantera had so much energy, power, groove, and talent that they were comparable to nothing else. I know you were just voicing your opinion but I had to put in my $.02

  • {waiting for the cd to skip}

  • ugh this is just awful

  • @yourallstoopid

You're a fucking tool. What sort of shit do you sit and listen to ?

  • @yourallstoopid

    You jelly??

LOL the CD? You think they sound that good, what a compliment ;)

    GTFO

  • @yourallstoopid Fucking Bieber FAG. Go suck your uncles cock and listen to those PATHETIC FUCKING SOUNDS THAT YOU LISTEN TO that YOU call MUSIC. SO GO FUCK YOURSELF! ROB ZOMBIE IS THE FUCKING SHIT!

  • @THCmore4ME jajajaja, zombie is a professional.

  • The last good band he had on his show.

  • @Fierce5 You're on crack. Dave's got good bands a lot

  • @TomFromJersey Really? Because I watch every night and the majority are terrible. I would think you would have to be on crack to like any of those talentless "bands".

  • @Fierce5

Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, U2, REM, The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Killers, Blink 182, The Sex Pistols, Joe Strummer, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Green Day, Paul Simon (& Garfunkel), Motley Crue and Johnny Cash are a few or the artists who have appeared on Letterman over the years

  • @TomFromJersey God damn, I love how I said a comment that was meant to be tongue in cheek while endorsing Zombie and everyone gets so butt-hurt that I am bombarded with "responses". Its pretty stupid really.

Most of the bands he has on suck, and his show has gone down hill in recent years. He does have the occasional good band, sure, but not very often.(Some will probably disagree)

Now get the fuck over it and stop wasting my time. I have better things to do than argue on Youtube,

  • @Fierce5 Are you sure?? Because it doesn't seem like you have better things to do.

    Haha - loser

  • @Fierce5 he's had slayer on the show since! so shut the fuck up

  • @aswesee >Implying Slayer is a good band.

  • @Fierce5 Wow that was the last band he had on his show. I thought RUSH was just on there about a month ago...

  • @likewowmanhey

like Fierce5 says, if u'd bothered to read his comment, the last GOOD band to appear on the show :)

  • His 2010 album Rules, this is a great show.

  • I wonder if all the old people in Dave's crowd had to replace the diapers lol

  • Oh Rob Zombie, you always amaze me, love your music. Long live Rob Zombie, may you rise forever.

  • is it true John 5 actually came back to shitty manson?

  • john 5 is a great guitarist and rob is f great singer!!!!!great singer and great guitar playr,so what else should have a great group?

  • Awesome performance, but as always the vocals volume is too low at Letterman.

  • I'm jealous of Piggy D's hair in this video. Amazing band! Love 'em!

  • John 5 stars.... what a guitarist.

  • this is one of the bettter (read best) live Zombie line-ups. Amazing live...5 minute johnny 5 solos in thunderkiss..super high energy, best live show ive ever seen...they opened for godsmack...haha poor bastards didnt stand a chance...

  • said it many times before and I'll say it agian, he did better with zombie than manson, I only saw manson 1999 and 2001 but that wuz enough , got to high on the last one anyways lol u know weed alcohol exstacy doesn't quite mix in the long run, lucky I dont do X anymore lol

  • I haven't heard many quality TV performances, and this is one of those exceptions. John 5's SubSonic sounds massive!

  • Roooooooooooooooooooobe zooooooooooombie HAHA:-P

  • how does John 5 get that wierd little sound on the high notes? vibrato or tremolo effect or what? i dont think its just pinch harmonics right? awsome guitar tone by the way

  • yea he's not lip syncing lol

  • ROB ZOMBIE IS EXTREME AS PINO SILVESTRE AFTER SHAVE UHUHUHUHUH

  • I LOVE Zombie...but I fucking HATE it when a musician ad libs.

  • So fucking happy i got to see Rob, Alice and John 5 in concert

  • Demonoid Phenomenon

  • Who would win in a fight? Rob Zombie or Zakk Wylde?

  • @GenXRanter With the size of his boots, Rob. Easily
