i like the tablet, but hp need to make the multitouch screen more friendly with our fingers like those ipads and tablets, like the windows phone, self lighted keyboard like those alienware laptops instead the light on top of the screen, bluray rom/dvd writer, of course bluetooth 2.0, usb 3.0, and of course they need to make this convertibles laptops more reliable, i got 5 broken tx series laptops because the common no video problem, nice laptop yeah, i will wait when they comes with windows 8!
This laptop is amazing.. But the keyboard light bothered me. It would be much nicer if the keyboard itself was lighted. But this wouldn't stop me from buying this. :)

I'm an IT professional and is using and currently deploying DELL 6420's to our management and field service teams at our company (over 1,100 employees in our division, 40% using laptops)... and the backlit keyboard on these units are great. If this could be setup on future HP EliteBook's... they would be perfect. I am about to upgrade my personal HP EliteBook (NC6400) to the recent 8540p and I can't wait to get it in the mail. We'll see how the light stands up! :P

This was one of the most useless online reviews I've ever seen. I get that it's a convertible tablet. I've been buying them for 7 years now. Integrated CD Rom? SD? battery life? ports? placement of the microphone array? >:(

Will there be a higher resolution screen released for this model? There is a quite persistent rumor saying we could get as much as 900 vertical pixels. I applaud your decision to keep 16:10.
Also I'm interested to know what the battery life is on this machine. The 2740p was less than 4 hours if I recall correctly. The main reason I favor this machine over the x220t is that the battery doesn't poke out the back.. but this one still needs to have good battery life for me to consider it.
