  • I think this video is great ! VERY INFORMATIVE. HOW ABOUT YOU MAKING ONE ABOUT TREMOLO BLOCKS & what to do /or not to do when fitting / buying & types of ect. ect. ? THERE ARE LOTS OF US OUT HERE THAT I'M SURE WOULD BENIFIT FROM THIS.

  • great stuff. has helped a lot of peolpe. May i ask if you have an idea on stripped thread in tremolo blocks. ? What to do /

  • @stratnuts What you mean exactly?

  • @FruduaTv waht I need is advice on my e-mail about having NO THREADS LEFT IN MY TREMOLO BLOCK on a Vintage STRAT. Options are too many for me to know what to do for the best.I would like to here your comments on this subject as it must have happened before .

  • @stratnuts Not sure what you mean... no threads of shich type?

  • @FruduaTv having to use ptfe. tape on trem. arm becuse there is NO THREADS left in the whole ???

  • Jesus!...what a load of waffle to explain such a simple idea!

Here's the whole video summed up in one word...

    LUBRICATE!

  • Posso applicare tutto ciò che dici alla mia PRS Se Santana?

  • Galeazzo, hi! i am sure many people asked you this, but, i am a blues player mainly and i bend a LOT! with you rsystem, every time i bend, specially my G string, it goes badly out of tune. It goes back to tune if i press the arm but its not possible to do it all the time. What do you suggest me to do? i want a floating trem....is there another possibility to steup the trem? Thanks a lot!!!

  • @chimpautan Hi this is actually a NON-problem :) If you check the videos these old players they bend at hell and at the end of the solos almost all of them strikes the tremolo arm to go back in tune as I explain here. See Ritchie Blackmore videos for example here on the tube. BUT if you want to get rid of this you can mod your guitar as I explain the series of 5 videos you see here in the channel "setup your strat for best tremolo use".

  • einstein would have trouble understanding this.

  • Thanks for great resource. I would like to ask a quick question. My problem is: regardless of the gauge I use, my low-E string is flappy. It goes lower pitches and sounds out of tune. Kind a tension problem I guess, it gives a sound like "booeing" instead of a consistent E note.I use .56 gauge (sometimes .60) low E string and I also play with standard tuning. Any idea about the cure?

    Thanks in advance

  • @zifirblues Does the problem raise both if you play a fretted note or open string?

  • if he's your roadie... you're probably richie blackmore or jimi hendrix

  • thanks my friend super explanation, perfect berh

  • very nice how much?

  • @GordanTrace What?

  • @GordanTrace borat?

  • @motorhead1995able Sborat.

  • Does this work with 12-52 strings?

  • @s4wgb It always work but youo have to perform the rest of the setup for this gauge of strings.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the help.

  • Mr Frudua, all your videos are helpful and so interesting. I have a Paul Reed Smith Guitar with fender tremolo style, What is the way the six screws that fix the bridge on the guitar body must be tight? Pretty Tight or pretty loose? I can tell the difference about this two ways, but I dont know which one of this is the right way? Greetings from Colombia South America!!! I love my guitar very very easy to play and soft.

  • @MrEgonomist HInI am preparing a vidoe on this matter. Sorry for late reply.

  • Would these videos work on a Prs Se Custom 24?

  • @SuperGuitarMark every non locking trem

  • @FruduaTv thanks, ill see if it helps :) thanks alot.

  • @FruduaTv Mr. Frudua, what if you have a Floyd Rose and the guitar still goes out of tune? like on my ESP whenever i dive bomb goes out of tune alot. Aldo when i pull the whammy bar back it goes to a higher tuning then normal. why is that?

  • @fendertender1 Hi you just have to have the two pivots replaced and the Floyd Edges sharpened. Simple!

  • @fendertender1 check your top lock if it holds the strings tight. Just pull a string behind the nut and check your tuning. You might also replace your tremolo springs with a good new set.

  • Really well done. Hell of alot better than ExpertVillage >:( Nice vids

  • @Doubledare51 well expert village is a joke :D Frudua is one of the most skilled italian luthiers...

  • ty very much. I'll watch it.

Some suggest for machine head replacement for a MIM strat? Use the same 'fender vintage' or something better? (please make some example or link)

    thanks :)

  • @00DirectorsCut00 The ones we use on the Exlusive guitars are the best otherwise some Sperzels.

  • @00DirectorsCut00 The original will be fine.

  • @FruduaTv ty!!

  • hi, if you want to set intonation at 12th freet, you have to do what in this video after or before'? ty

  • @00DirectorsCut00 intonation is always last step. See my dedicated video.

  • grazie per tutto da Canada!

  • This worked perfect thank you soo much.

    :D

  • i put new srings (9-42) on my new guitar and the tremolo bridge was bein pulled upward so i added a 3rd string. its a lil harder to move the tremolo will that effect anything or is that normal? im new to the tremolo im used to around (11-46) or heavier gauges

  • @originalMOON3R The new set of strings is pulling more than the original one. Even if they still were 009/42 they are slightly different. Nothing bad but you need to setup your instrument for this new set of strings for perfect performance.

  • @FruduaTv will tightening the truss a 1/16 turn allow the tremelo to fall back a little? I have the same issue with my deluxe strat, the trem usually floats a little but is not pulling up more with tuning.... help..

  • @cobol11111 I I understand what you mean tha answer is no. Adjusting the truss rod involves some retouch of the tuning but not so imrotant to affect the floating of a bridge to the point to make it flush on the guitar and you no longer able to pull

  • @FruduaTv thanks, I may have had too much relief from season change, damper.. I turned truss a fraction tighter . The neck is a bit straighter now which I like. Am I sort of correcting my problem by straightening the neck a little more ??? thanks

  • @cobol11111 By straightening the neck a little more you are making the action feel a bit more confortable and once you get accustomed eith the sightly lower actio this will be fine. Allow one week playing. Resist. Also be sure the lower action does not affect your playing dynamic.

  • @originalMOON3R add springs to the back of the tremolo at the block to even out the pull of the strings, and the pull of the springs.

  • now i understand why my deluxe strat is out of tune , what can i say , perfect video , from a perfect guy , i love yr attention to detail , mille grazie

  • are you familiar with the hagstrom full contact tremolo? if you are, do you know if this method works for it?

    thank you!

  • @hockeyjockguitarist It works with any kind of floating tremolo go ease

  • man, can e make a tremolo bridge float?

i mean, inversing the action, making the bridge stay in a bit float, then when using a wammy, it would make the bridge go down to the guitar body, like floyd

  • @master64k Yes you can

  • @FruduaTv will it screw with the bridge? or the guitar?? is it viable??

  • @master64k Everything shown here will make the guitar perform better. :)

  • ciao thnx for the video

  • if i use my whammy bar the strings are in tuned but when i bend a note it is not tuned and when i use whammy bar (down) it will be tuned again.. can you help me how to avoid getting not tune when bending some notes....

  • @brdevilzyan Yes please check my other videos same channel "Set up your strat for best tremolo use part 1-5"

  • You are pretty helpful to me.

  • can you be my personal luthier?? haha.. awesome vids, awesome person!

  • "return to its perfect bitch" Lol love this video

  • Please guys check my new youtube/fruduadirectdeal channel

  • This excellent video series has started me thinking about the setup on my Strat, which has been the same for many years. Many thanks.

Any recommendation on how many springs to use in a Strat tremolo (10-46 gauge)?

  • @JuxExpress This depends on many different factors but try at least 3.

  • Thank you Mr. Fruda!

  • Thanks, it's a really good video.

I'm having problems now, because I've just bought a new bridge for my strat, with tremolo, and I've also changed from 0.9 to 0.10 strings...Now the bridge is too tilted towards the neck, and I don't know what to do...

  • @lucascopin Just tighten the screws on the back of the guitar and retune. Do it till the basplate of the tremolo is how you like it.

  • Hey I am learning quite a bit from you videos. Thanks. Do the same rules apply to setting up a PRS Custom 24's (1987) tremolo for the best overall performance?

  • @Guernseyopman The PRS Custom tremolo already has some of these mods by default. Check them in advance.

  • dude your accent is awesome, i love how you say tremelo

    "Treymeylow"

    that is so badass

  • Thanks for these videos you upload. They are great help.Excellent job!!!

  • I say that 95% of the friction is over the nut.

  • IMO friction is almost everywhere where the guitar is not properly setup and prepared to avoid it. :)

  • I have a MIM Strat.

I can use the tremolo only bending the notes down without going out of tune.

The thing is that, some days ago, I could anything to the tremolo that the guitar would not go out of tune. I really don't know what's wrong, and I'm not making much money right now. Any tips on what could do?

I already did all the things that you have shown in your vids apart from the things that take money to do.

    Thanks a lot.

  • @RLHubner. Yes check my other video

"How to keep your Strat tremolo in tune. Frudua Way "

  • I already did those steps, I think it's the nut. It is too large and deep for my strings.

Thanks for your help anyway. When I have time I will do everything you instructed to guitar, after all, I'm a bass player ;)

  • @FruduaTv Check out that video as soon as you can. It really works! :-) I still can not believe my strats stay in perfect tune when using the bar now. Fruda is AMAZING!

  • i used a couple more springs on the back of the trem and put pencile lead in the nut so it stays in tune for me 97% of the time

  • The same concept of steinberger too

  • Yes

  • this is really clear, thanks for your videos :)

  • Hi Galeazzo your videos really are helping me a lot, wow i finally use my tremolo on my fender squier

  • Very good Javier!
