  • 01:25 Ancient cobbled alleyes?

    Its medieval but ok

  • @Dgamer21 Stieg Larssons novels are only novels, but sure, things happen in Sweden that are not so very nice, but I would like you to name one contry that hasn't got any bad stuff going on...

  • Read the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. You will see that Sweden including Stockholm is not as much as a paradise as you would think.

  • Have you ever been there or are you just judging it from a distance? Sure, it is a bit different than the Latin passion, granted, but Scandinavians are fine people in their own way, and their society is the world's best.

  • I'm Colombian... I just don't understand they coldness and boredom of the Scandinavian countries! It is indeed beautiful! But they are very reserved, complicated and weird. Why is it they are like that when they have it all? In my country people smile, dance, laugh and talk much more even though we are like the most dangerous country in the world. Why is it that Swedish are bitter? Is it because of the weather? Or the immigrants?

  • @MrBastilleCreole this is coming from a swede so there might be some bias here but weatherwise you have in Stockholm basically 6 months of the year with heavy and dark cloud cover with varying degrees of snow and rain, depressing weather. as for being reserved, it's a question of upbringing. we're brought up in a way where you appreciate certain things a certain way... not much more to it, swedes often find latin people rowdy and loud, that doesn't mean our way is better though or vice versa

  • @fr Yeah yeah! You think we are rowdy and loud, but I mean at least we give good energy, a lively lifestyle to the problems. It's like you want always to complicate a lot by EVEN using the formal pronouns in certain occasions, or maybe by not speaking on the streets, or by not eating this or that, or doing this or that. Don't you know life is short? That the most important things are not the "etiquette" or the "ellegance", but the sincere feelings and the joy. We always look for joy (the world)

  • @MrBastilleCreole again you assume that because we do things differently we dont enjoy life, what I'm saying is that that isn't the case. we do things differently yes and I don't pass judgement on the way you do things, I like it infact, but it's different to how we live life and thats ok. but I'm telling you we dont enjoy life less than you guys.

  • @frumpman It's like you want always stay away the "real life". The pain and the joy are the permanent essence of life, but you just want to stay away from it... =S I think it's not cool. You need more Latin Americans and Mediterraneans in that country, in such a way we'll make a HAPPY and SMILY SWEDEN! :P good luck!

  • @MrBastilleCreole I really don't agree with you one bit. As a Canadian who's traveled around Europe for long periods of time, the fact that you can't recognize that there is simply a difference in culture here is flagrant. "Real life" as you put it, is a virtual, relative thought to everyone. Are you insinuating that Swedes don't know how to "live"? Have you been there? Have you been part of their lives? It is as rich in life as any culture, simply you need to make the effort to know it.

  • @Clarionpiano Well, I just look at it. Actually yeah, I meant that they didn't know how to live. Why? Because you talk with Swedes and they think about stupid things such as the number of Somalis in Sweden and most of the suicides come from that part of the world. It's like if there's nothing to do there, not enough to think about something else besides immigration or suicide. You get me? But Canadians are not the happiest people in the world... for you it might be: Just OK.

  • @MrBastilleCreole seriously dude... I keep telling you that your way isn't the only way and that we are in fact a happy people, suicide figures not withstanding. We have grown up in a different culture and therefore have different values and standards and norms.

Now let me put this as succinctly and to the point as possible:

Your way is not the only way and just because we dont act like you doesn't mean we're not as happy as you, are you a troll? or does this just not compute for you?

  • @frumpman It does not compute to me, because the difference between both cultures are minimal (if you talk about values) we are both Christian-based countries, with the same ideals of working and having money, and blah blah blah (We Latin-Americans are Westerners, even if you didn't know it). You get it? The behaviour of being loud, and annoying and making party all the time is considered rude (even in Latin America).

  • @frumpman So, my point is. Why is it that you are soooo inhibitted? Because the human being is very predictible (we all look for the same basic things: food, love, happiness, sex, NOT MONOTONOUSLY etc.) and we keep being animals in our nature. You cannot come uo to me telling me that living in a boring country where nothing happens, where you barely SMILE! and besides you make almost no parties... (in order to beat down that monotony) IS COOL! And is part of your values!

  • @frumpman Why is it that all Swedes for example go to Spain? the USA? Argentina? etc. if you live so great there. Any single European I've met here in Colombia tells me: In Europe making friends is very difficult, they always complain about anything, that's why I like this place, it's raining and people still laugh about the situation, and don't take things that seriously. You keep being human beings that's my point!

Besides you're kind of rude and very touchy...

  • @MrBastilleCreole Alright, let me see if I can explain this. First of all, the fact that you say both Sweden and your country are the same because they are Christian-based, with the same ideals of working and having money means you really don't anything about Sweden. And I mean this in a respectful way, you should try reading up on the country. Going by what you've heard about a country or what you've experienced with one or two people of that country shouldn't give you a sanctified opinion.

  • @MrBastilleCreole Secondly, I cannot stress enough the lack of information you have on Swedish culture. They are inhibited? You've clearly never sat in a pub in Stockholm with a few Swedes. Or gone on one of the boat trips from Stockholm to Finland. Or know most of the stereotypes with being Swedish. Sweden is far from being a boring country, unless, of course, you are talking by your standards, which are amazingly biased to your own culture. There's more to life than just having a party.

  • @MrBastilleCreole Besides, for all that Latin Americans may be full of life and love to party, you have nothing on Swedes. Why are they so "reserved"? Because they have respect for other people. It flabbergasts me how you can assert such things as "You never smile!", "Your country is boring!", "You make no parties!" when you've clearly never been there. As to why Swedes go to Spain, the U.S.A. and Argentina or any part of the world, for that matter? Simply because they want to?

  • @MrBastilleCreole Have you never heard of a thing called traveling? Get out of your own little bubble and you might notice that the world around you has more to it than just having parties and having fun all the time. Just because some other cultures can exude more seriousness than what you portray yours to be doesn't make it any worse than yours. Only different. It may not agree with you, but it doesn't give you the grounds to condemn it as you are doing.

  • @MrBastilleCreole That also extends to your comment about my own country. When you've traveled around enough to have an unbiased opinion based on long enough periods of time spent in a different culture, then, perhaps, you will have a valid thought to speak of. Until then, I honestly hope that you might be able to experience something else other then what gave you that very narrow-minded view of yours. And if someone is being kind of rude? It's you. Learn not to impose yourself on others.

  • @Clarionpiano So that shows me clearly that Swedes are kind of these chauvinistic peoples that don't like to accept that the country where you live is boring and depressive. Maybe you think that you are happy just because youdon't know real happiness. This list say the opposite: ht tp : / / en . wikipedia . org / wiki / Happy_Planet_Index And you can call me ignorant, etc. but it's the point my friend. You're the one biased here, you along the rest of the bitter angry Swedes. :@

  • @Clarionpiano And yes, the culture is practically the same. Isn't your country based in on Christianism? Indifferent to the number of secular people. It is! Isn't your country one of the richest in the world? That's my point! And you are VERY BORING! Just look at this video! You have to be blind in order to deny so! Maybe you are happy living in a boring and monotonous country where you know how to "respect". Not smiling and being with a bad attitude all the time, is unpolite and unrespectful.

  • @Clarionpiano It's like the way you depict on Somalis and muslims in general! That's the way we look at you! So boring, very moral, very annoying, you can barely move in order to be polite in that country! Germans aren't that complicated! :P And I travel a lot beuatiful! I come from France! But I live in Colombia! You lack of love and people! I can find more poeple in my city than in yout country! Maybe is because of the "single" life in Sweden... no one wnats to marry there.

  • @MrBastilleCreole You come from France?

  • So there is no black people in Sweden? If not I'm about to make the difference.

  • @IamHellinger well 30% of swedish people does not have swedish parents. :)

  • @IamHellinger I'm black and I was born in Stockholm. You're still welcome though!

  • @Sergo91 oh,,,,, fuck u

    txh u!

  • @Sergo91 It is scary living there? Neo Nazis?

  • @Abdikarimelmi Why the hell would you think there are Neo-Nazis in Sweden? That doesn't even make sense.

  • @Abdikarimelmi racism is a MUCH bigger problem in places like Germany and France

  • @wrylie188 France? Not really, the UK and France is perhaps the least racist. IN Sweden you feel biologically lower.... an subhuman.

  • @Abdikarimelmi Well I've lived in Sweden collectively for 10 years and I've seen one, very mild act of racism, and it was actually from a black man to a white man; the problem is that the religion of Asatru has one of its strongest presences in Sweden, and people often (falsely) associate Asatru with Nazism; this is a complete and total misconception. Part of the reason one might have racial experiences in Sweden is that there are very few racial minorities; some have never seen black people.

  • @Abdikarimelmi Also; there is a lot of religious discrimination in France (usually not by the government, but by the populous) I spent a few months travelling France and noticed something very strange; a lot of people there suffer from islamaphobia; not so much a hatred of muslims, but many feel that muslims and Arabic people in general are "invading" their country, in much the same way that many Americans think Mexicans are "invading" their country. (of course this isn't true of everyone, etc.)

  • @wrylie188 How come that so many neo nazis from a country of 9 million. I want to visit Sweden but I fear discrimination. They may look at me as an immigrant rather than a tourist.

  • @Abdikarimelmi Wait, so your judging Sweden and you've never even been there? Trust me; Sweden is probably the least discreminatory country on the planet.

  • @wrylie188

Uhh... that is complete rubbish. Om du bor här så vet du att du snackar bara skit!

  • @jetplane2006 Jag har bott i Sverige i femton år, jag kan tala svenska också, lol.

  • one thing I don't like about Sweden when they say Hello they say HEY

    I said Hello

She said to me Hey WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • To bad corporate raiders killed the buzz.

  • There are a lot of parts in Stockholm. This video merely shows a tourist's perspective.

  • wouldn't live there just for one reason

    its too fucking cold

no insult to any scandinavians,i just prefer warm places

  • @TheGrizzlyReaper78 Try Norway ! Norway is a beautiful place ! :-D

  • I love Sweden :D

  • i picked the right country :)

  • right at 2:18 when the guy said Drottningatan i was like *face palm* Iv'e actually been to stockholm

  • my great grandpa is froom there :) Swedish and proud :D

  • omg...I'm so in love w / this video. So beautiful I must visit

  • just don't say shit about Islam, since this religion is based on very strong foundation, so people feel very strongly about it, true, some of us are a little bit on the violent side, but over here in California, I have barely seen a crime committed by a muslim...

  • Notch Country is awesome

  • hahahaha looks like you're selling the country... and you are... am i wrong?

  • @Holvem You talking to anyone in particular here bud or just felt the inner need to get that outt'a your system?!

  • @USAdude30 dude is tour video, is basically selling the country to make people want to go there dahhh -.-''

  • @Holvem Ok bro,sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • titta på gratis filmer/nordic-tv/com

  • ive always wanted to visit sweden for its liberalism and its gay-friendly atmosphere. but unfortunately because of all the african and muslim immigrants, gays are getting bashed and living in fear again. its a shame, they should go back to their own countries.

  • @brndnrckn What? The anti-Islam/Muslims and anit immigrants beyond the West party, SD, are very hostile against homosexuals and liberalism. And they are part of the Swedish parliment.

  • @upuup something like 8/10 hate crimes towards gays are committed by immigrants in countries such as sweden, denmark and the netherlands, countries considered tolerant and non-violent. in your countrysweden a large majorities of parties support gay marriage, with only a few smaller parties not supporting marriage and adoption.that wouldnt make a gay person live in fear, as gays are very open in my country despite no political support, it is the immigrants who want to kill gays that are a scary.

  • @brndnrckn Source about the numbers?

There are at least 2 parties in Sweden that are hostile against homosexuals/homoseuxality: SD ("Swedish democrats") and KD ("Christian democrats"). Obviously there are immigrants that dislike homosexuals/homosexuality too, but they are not the only ones and I doubt that immigrants and muslims are in majority when it comes to those who make homosexuals to feel fear.

The parties I brought up are just as big, or bigger, than all the immigrants combined.

  • @brndnrckn Um, Im pretty sure homosexuals feel fear when hearing and reading that those who make the laws and "represent the people" are against them and want to limit their rights. So swedes that want to kill homosexuals aren't scary?

    Strange comment...

  • @upuup pretty much every country has parties against gay marriage and gay rights, and trust me thats not scary. whats scary is walking down the street getting called a fag, and thats only ever happened to me from people obviously of arab descent, and most likely muslim. ive never been threatened by anyone else, only maybe gotten a few weird looks from older generations. i dont live in sweden but i doubt any parties are threatening homosexuals and calling them faggots.

  • @brndnrckn Thats your personal experience and does not represent anything or anyone objectivetly.

You're wrong, SD politician Björn Söder wrote that homosexuals werent normal and never will be, compared it to pedophilia and said that the Prideparade was perverted. His party want to stop homosexuals from adopting and getting married. There are people with actual power to make that happen. While homosexuals can protect themselves from individuals on the street by the current laws and the police.

  • @brndnrckn Where is the source to the statistics btw?

  • @upuup i dont remember where i saw the statics for the scandinavian countries, but heres two for the netherlands. en (dot) wikipedia (dot) org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_the_Netherlands. torontosun (dot) com/comment/columnists/ezra_levant/2010/10/08/15630946 (dot) html. also some years ago an openly gay man running for prime minster was assassinated by a muslim who considered him a threat to muslims in the netherlands. although he did openly say he disliked islamic culture, which may have provoked it.

  • @brndnrckn Okay, but it was 2/3 of 201 attacks in Amsterdam in 2007, and not 4/5 of all crimes in entire Netherland. Even though muslims were the majority, one must also think about that not all crimes were/ are reported. Another group could be in majority if all the facts were on the table.

    What was his name?

  • @upuup oh ok, i just found that website then so i doubt the school thing is true, cause thats fucked up, like im pretty sure it would be illegal. although i did read a thing about an islamic school in the uk where all the kids believed that salt water and fresh water couldnt be mixed because the qaran said it couldnt happen, so you never know.. yes but muslims make up 1/20 of the population but make up 2/3 of bashings, and that is only the teenage muslims.

  • @brndnrckn It could be true, who knows. There will always be extremists no matter what religion and groups. Salt and fresh water can't be mixed according to sicene and the Quran doesn't say that homosexuals should be bashed.

No, they stood for 2/3 of all crimes that were -reported - in Amsterdam in year -2007-. 1/20 of the entire country?

About Pim Fortuyn, he was killed by a native dutch and it says nothing about the murderer being a muslim.

  • @upuup his name was pim fortuyn, although as i said he said some shit about islam, so that couldve provoked it, but then again many european politicians have said shit about muslims without getting assassinated.

  • @brndnrckn And, based on what one can read about his opinions and statements on Wikipedia, as "being for a cold war against islam", "wanting to stop muslim immigration if it was legal" ect. shows that he was a very hostile person who 1. was very "undutch" if they are civilized and kind to others and speak the truth 2. a very dangerous person to his coutry since he was trying to create hostility towards the muslim minority

  • @upuup wikiislam (dot) net/wiki/Persecution_of_Homosexuals. also have a look at this, and click on any western country and see how every story relates to muslims. islamic schools in europe are even teaching their students that they SHOULD bash gays. its disgusting.

  • @brndnrckn Meh lol, I don't take anything written in wikiisilam seriously after having read an article about islams view of homosexuality where they brought up unvalid hadith (meaning: can't be fallowed) as support for their claims. Not to mention how extreme their articles are overall. They are open with being "critical" to islam too, and we all know that "critical" means: twist everything negativetly about islam and muslims.

Yes, its disgusting when whoever does that.

  • @brndnrckn But what was the name of the man who was assasinated?

  • Életem legszebb élménye volt! Gyönyörű város! Gyönyörű ország! A világ teteje!!!

  • Live in Stockholm is like living in the 16th century and the 21st century at the same time, it's wonderful. Sweden is traditional and modern at the same time. Come visit us...

  • Stockholm The North Venedig

  • reminds me of victoria B.C.

  • i'm learning swedish. when i am fluent in the language then i will go to sweden. it's my motivation.

  • Swedish girls are hot

  • wasn't norway is the highest standard of living?

  • @Krisnadhuaja actually ireland is. norway is the most developed nation however.

  • Beautiful city...

  • la plage rouge a marrakech

  • Just a quick note: Stockholm isn't that near the top when it comes cities with the highest qualitiy of living. At the top, there are currently Vienna and Zurich but the quality of living is certainly quite high in Stockholm and Copenhagen as well.

  • Sweden is the most beautiful place I have ever been to! Please visit Sweden and you will want to go back again and again! Best place ever. And what a great video, really highlights the beauty of this wonderful place!

  • @jessiemartina Totally agree. I cannot find any fault with Sweden (apart from the cold in he winter), but the people are so polite and friendly and amazing looking, the city is beautiful.

  • Sweden is the most beautiful place I have ever been to! Please visit Sweden and you will want to go back again and again! Best place ever. And what a great video, really highlights the beauty of this wonderful place!

  • I've never been to Europe but I'll tell you what, there are so many countries that are SO MUCH better than the US. For all the Europeans in here, I was born and raised in the United States, yet I've always never liked it here because of how the people are, the music is very bad overall, and just so much more. I pray that one day I can move to the other side of the world to get away from this evil place I live in. So for all the Americans in here, you have NO room to talk.

  • I love Stockholm! Most beautiful place in the world!

  • I wish I could visit Stockholm, it's so beautiful

  • @AlienFirefox haha yes aussies are popular, the accent will make girls drop by your feet haha :P The accent is insanly sexy!

  • @swedebitchsubscriber Australians are racist bastards. I don't know why Swedes should find their vile accent attractive.

  • @Invesigator

Yes, Austrilians are VERY VERY Racist!!!

I am Chinese and I hate them.

But I love Sweden, Swedes are very beautiful yet NOT racist.

  • @jiangshulin Agreed.

  • @jiangshulin THE BARBARIC GERMANIC TRASH ARE MOST XENOPHOBE PERSONS IN THE WORLD, WAKE UP ASSHOLE

  • @unfukkkmee

But most Swedes I know are very nice people.

Swedes, Danes are awesome. Very beautiful girls too. Norwegians are FUCKING RACIST, also Fins. Fins are ugly though.

  • @jiangshulin So what is your experience by Finns and Norwegians? Did you notice you just made a racist remark?

  • @jiangshulin lol, the irony of your comment

  • @WildBillHickums

It is not called Irony. It is called FACT!

  • @WildBillHickums yes but you say you hate them, thats racist in its definition, i just find it funny that's all.

  • Haha, this would be an awesome place for a second diagon alley...

  • Stockholm is simply amazing, I love the view from Fjallgatan. I loved Gamla Stan and enjoyed just wandering the city. I visited the tourist center simply because I stumbled upon it. However I went in October so a lot of stuff(tours) were shut down already.... Typing this makes me misss Stockholm and Sweden in general so much... Too bad the US isn't more like it.

  • waaaaaaa that's soo beautiful ^^

  • America is too much into wars, hate, fear. I dont know when all the madness will end. Life is difficult here for us. I dont know how to get out of it.

  • i have heard aussies are popular in sweden is this true? im thinking of visiting europe one day scandinavia definitely on the list.

  • Nice!

  • Ive lived in America and canada, mostly in Canada where they pride themselves on a semi privatized health care which is even below that of cuba, man I cant wait till i move back to sweden!!!!!! Btw swedes are an awsome people, very frienly n charmin

  • What a wonderful video. I'm having a sleepless night and I really enjoyed this. It was so interesting and relaxing. Thank you so much!

  • whats with the racism

  • @Abdikarimelmi I know, right?

  • @Abdikarimelmi everyone regardless of race or color should have the right to visit Sweden

  • Nice Sweden, But too old. Peace from Africa :)

  • wow ,amazing !!! wish to go there to live!!!

    greetings from montenegro!

  • like night and day on those points, Stockholm by a mile

    but both places are wonderful

  • @Saaatana Why?

  • Regarding Stockholm as an urban utopia, you must be from a real dump.

  • Wow i SO want to go there right now. well its in my to do list..... O.O

    no way i'm missing that.....

  • Oh, and what is the employment rate here?

  • Very beautiful scenery, what's the predominant language spoken here and what language are the movies in cinema screened in?

  • Finally, a video that doesn't just have pictures and goofy music screaming in the background. The video makes a trip to Stockholm worth it.

  • @elchamber I agree - a refreshing change!

  • It's a shame that was once a peaceful, storybook land, with a high standard of living, is being damaged by lax immigration policies. The Muslim newcomers ate creating crime issues and raping Swedish women. Just research the nightmare that Malmo Sweden has become because of the Muslim influx. Too bad!

  • Definitely on the list of places I want to visit one day but Germany is first :)

  • The guy that's speaking sounds drunk.

  • well, living-quality will soon decline in stockholm, if the muslim population goes on growing.

  • @Thronsohn Racist nonsense.

  • @alanheath islam is not a race. *random insult*

  • @Thronsohn Yes, you are right. It is a religion.

  • "they just don't build cities like this anymore"

well, thank god they don't. 17th century sucks!

  • Ewww- Put some clothes on those guys at 9:05!!

  • @ZhangtheGreat I live in a town called weston, in florida. so, i now that the grass isnt greener on the other side..

  • Stockholm had reached several times, but was a town splendid really beautifully. In addition, I want to go if there is an opportunity.

  • Drottninggatan = Queensroad
