  • I think 300 is a work of art. Awesome direction, wonderful performances, incredible storyline, it's aesthetically beautiful and perfect.

  • Beautiful work!

  • Is this the song from R & J the really old version

  • uber creative video

  • Ahhh, Sparta.....

About as romantic as North Korea today!

  • hahahahaha.....thet's true:)))

  • Perhaps romantic perhaps not, but to really answer that question let's see if North Korea will be remembered 2500 from now as Sparta is remembered today. Lets not forget, Sparta defended Democracy from tyrrany so you and I can bear the fruits of freedom and justice!!

  • North Korea will still be remembered, like Sparta, as a place where brutality, militarism, and slavery once dominated a powerful army state.

If it weren't for Athens, Sparta's defeat at Thermopylae would have been a lost cause.

  • #1. Was it really a defeat at Thermopylae? If you ask any historian they would tell you this was a huge moral victory for Sparta & more importantly Greece. #2 Read up on what happend in 479 BC --> The Battle of Platea.

#3 You should learn to be more respectful towards the past, present, and future Spartans. They fought with valour for a new age of freedom & democracy whereas the North Koreans are fighting for Communism, Totalitarianism.

    True Spartan Bloodline 100%

  • Thermopylae was meant to STOP the Persians, not simply delay them. It failed. SALAMIS was the decisive point. Platea was simply the finishing blow against the satrap Mardonis after Xerxes fled after Salamis.

Freedom? Democracy? Yes, the Spartans had councils elected by the people, but it also had a 3:1 slave ratio. THAT'S why they were so militaristic. Otherwise, their helots would have speared them in their sleep.

  • bbokos accoualy Sparta had Oligarchy

Athens had Democracy every ancient Greek town state had its own political system.

  • i was reading about the real leonidas and gorgo..apparently she's his neice. his half brother's daughter.

  • incest, much?

  • I guess. Just something i read.

  • Those days, normal !

  • Just bought the video and sound track and this story was part of my school history.I loved it then and now it is beautifully brought to life by the majesty of Mr Butler's acting. Another epic performance. So thrilled and excited by this film. Glad to see we can still produce actors of this caliber.Excellent G.B. god bless joan.

  • WOW very nice ... its good to no there r people who still make things the artistic way u do

  • who sings this wonderful song?i knew thats from movie romeo and julia. im not sure...

    pls help !!!

  • The music is by Nino Rota and the song "What is a Youth" is sung by Glen Weston. The music from this movie is unforgettable and heart-breaking. Thanks for watching.

  • Wonderful...

  • Amazing...

  • Beautiful!!!!

  • Actually she is an ancient art specialist! Great job, as usual Liozzo. Some people just don't get it!

  • Samfitz, I really do appreciate men ages 15-25, but there are times when the smart-alecky testosterone-infused cracks get boring. It would be okay if any of them were halfway witty, but no such luck.

  • it was kind of slow but i really liked both the video and the music!really moving!nice work..

  • yea I understand that. It just had weird unwanted things? like figurines and stuff.. I wanna see the beautiful lena headey :P

  • Women were not a major part of this film and that's okay. This was an incredible treatment about war, life and death. Lena was gorgeous and absolutely awesome, but there was very little material to work with character-wise, with regards to her as a young girl. I had to make do with the very few feminine bronze statuettes from Sparta in existence. The Spartans - as the film subtly points out - were not much into art. I am an ancient art specialist and I like to put that into my videos.

  • uuu...ancient art specialist..uuuuu

  • thank you- that was very cool. It's nice to see that people with higher brain functions also apreciated this film. It encourages me that when I finaly do see it it doesn't have to be a guilty pleasure.

  • This movie is an artistic triumph. It's like watching a series of paintings. The action is very, very cool. There's something for everyone. Dvd comes out July 31. I recommend it - right away!

  • @Liozzo Did Gorgo ever remarry? Sorry I have this problem that I think about women and if they are faithful, no one eles but me gives a damn, but did she remarry?

  • i don't think so. no offense but it sucks

  • "i don't think so. no offense but it sucks."

Apparently, logic isn't some people's strong suit.

It might be advisable to read the video description before watching. That way people not so inclined might save themselves five very painful minutes.

  • Your comebacks are funny :) And your video is amazing!!! Very creative, and beautifully done. I enjoyed watching it as much as I've enjoyed the movie itself. Thank you for putting this out!!!!

  • wow you ruined it.

  • wow is that a compliment?
