The band's name is 'ohashi Trio'. You are right - the song is 'A Bird.' It is from the album of the same name. (I recently got the band's last two albums during a trip to Tokyo. I regret not also getting their first album). BTW, half their songs are in English.

Sorry, just to clarify--The name of the band is usually written as one word: 'ohashiTrio' . The Japanese name (I think) is: 大橋トリオ

Actually, this is not a band. 大橋トリオ is the stage name of an only guy, who acts as a trio: he plays piano, sings, and composes all his songs.

His real name is Oohashi Yoshinori.

No please don't do an English version. It is a Japanese song and it should stay like this. It's like with Japanese movies, the English versions never get the same quality and story as the Japanese originals

I agree for movies, Japanese dialogue with English subtitles is best.

But for a song, an English version would be just as good. It's been over 25 years since the last Japanese song was a hit in the west (chart hit). Maybe this song could do it?

But then "hit songs" are rather a thing of the past I suppose...
