  • Absolutely beautiful, astounding, glorious, amazing, extraordinary, perfection,

    you know what I mean

  • I love Muse! They inspired me so much for making music! Please Check out my page for music inspired by these guys!

  • F'king brillant

  • I thank him who has missed the title of the song .... so because I could not find the real title .... but I thank him even more because if he had not at this wrong .... I would not have listened to this masterpiece.

  • perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me produce algo tan especial escucharla

  • This is Collateral Damage! Just youtube seach "muse exogenesis part 2" and you'll find the real one.

Not saying that Collateral damage is bad, though, it's really beautiful! Just preventing misleading.

  • this isnt cross pollination this is eurasia

  • so well put, just beautiful

  • so well put, just beautiful

  • Bad Santa 2

  • parts of this is at the end of united states eurasia isnt it?

  • though I came across this song by accident, it has led me to a series of days listening to classical music again. much appreciation for the mistake. <3

  • What's wrong with you man?

  • This isn't exogenesis, or Muse for that matter. Check on itunes and see for yourself people.

  • really < its over 9000 thats not funny just dont do that or get off of youtube

  • thats not cross pollination

  • WOW !!!! it was so perfect that it brought tears to my eyes

  • 1:50

  • what the fuck

  • months have passed and still this is pure class....MUSE rock and roll with it

  • We get it. Muse is influenced by classical music! Part II is very Chopin-esque and Part III (as least to me) sounds a bit 'borrowed' from Beethoven. The piano solo in 'Butterflies and Hurricanes' is a Rachmaninoff tribute.

It just shows that Matt and Co. know a lot about pure music and aren't confined by by a pre-existing style. Also, I think many MUSE fans would really love classical music if they gave it a try.

Maybe a bit cheeky on the part of aznnik, but no big deal. Chopin is great!

  • @VforVideo

Absolutely! Classic is genius! Pure genius...

  • @VforVideo It's not Chopin-esque, it is Chopin, note for note, no beethoven in it, just elements of the late classical era.

  • What's with all this pretentious drivel? Just enjoy the music for goodness sake...

  • Chopin???XDXDXD

    It is a chopins' muse....XDXDXD

  • Chopin???XDXDXD

    It is a chopins' muse....XDXDXD

  • well...good...but this is chopin...

  • What can i say Mr Bellamy a legend just love this great plus he tells the truth in all his songs, something we really need to say but cant love it :)

  • why is there Chopin when I clicked Muse?

  • Wow, you didn't even bother to pretend it was Collateral Damage. . .

  • Wow, this is not Muse.

  • Muse=Awesome!

  • not muse, but what is the name of this music.

  • Listen Also >> " Gazebo - I Like Chopin" <<

  • WTF? This isn't Exogenesis part 2. This is Chopin.

  • @theloughnessmonster Exactly this is Chopin's Mazurka for god's sakes, wth is wrong with you people. Credits please!!!

  • As a Canadian I resent that many of you are throwing us in there with USA and labeling both nations as one North American culture. It's true we may have taken a few cues from our American neighbours but it's incorrect to call American music North American music.

Here in Canada if a band wants to get noticed they can't really compete with the pop junk that's popular in the States, so we've got a great Alternative/indie scene.

My favourite Canadian band is Faunts.

  • @veryhighsamurai lol im a girl :) But thanks :D

  • Only a band like Muse is worthy playing this kind of pure awesomeness and recording it - hands down and thumbs up!

  • brilliant

  • it's a prelude... oh. i about to say... "wait isn't this chopin's original composition? how can they make as if it's their original production...? Oh it's a prelude to the following track... cross-blending...classical pop remix... nice", me. Muse = awesome.

  • Chopin nocturne op. 9 no. 2 in e flat <3

  • @iLoveMuse13 thumbs up this guy and flag this video as having a misleading title

  • thanks to chopin great music

  • so beautiful...

  • This is not Muse!!!!!!

It's not even Exogenesis Part 2! If it was Muse it'd be Collateral Damage (i.e. Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat Major Op. 9) which is at the end of United States Of Eurasia.

But it is certainy not the Muse version of it as Muse have added a little bit of strings to theirs!

  • @mueymue So true! And apart from that, Matt plays it different as well, more beautiful.

  • THIS IS NOT MUSE

  • Hey! this song is great! They're almost as good as an American band!

  • I love metal and rock, but I also love writing. Songs are not only for listening but for insparation.

  • @larewwedxhhh19 What does metal and rock have to do with writing? Explain to me, please.

  • @RogierViHarkema Reread my comment, It seems you didn't understand it.

  • @larewwedxhhh19 I did. Quite some times, actually. That's why I replied to it with a question, because I don't understand. What kind of writing? And why do you have to include 'Rock and metal' in your comment? Can't metal/rock listeners write? No offense but please explain it.

  • @RogierViHarkema For me and other people I know its hard to think when you have metal and rock blasting in my ears. Though some people actually like listening to that while writing, I perfer soft like Muse creates.

  • european music is always the best

  • LoL.... why would you say this is Muse, this is Frederic Chopin, and he was neither American nor English... but Polish.

  • Is this a joke? This is Chopin, not Muse!!!

  • Why are there two different versions of Part II?

  • sorry this is a chopin nocturne!!!

  • Muse is like the best band EVER! in this time of age, i have never seen any other band this talented. :')

  • Then you need to start packing your bags and "hear" the word a bit more.

  • Used to really like Muse and this song, but have started to lose interest in them recently.

  • Comment removed

  • This is gold!

  • this is not a song of them. the original author is Chopin....

  • This is Matt Bellamy playing Chopin. A short part of it plays out at the end of United States Of Eurasia. Dont know why the fuck it's posted under Cross- Pollination..

  • Wow this is a British band too? I never would have guessed. Is it just me, or do British people have an American accent when they sing?

  • @BlazerBrass it's just you. Matthew Bellamy sound more british than the Queen when he sings.

  • this isnt muse you retards its nocturne in E by frederic chopin

  • @Jareldinio this is played at the end of united states of eurasia matt bellamy plays it he states he is a fan of chopin...idn why this is labeled exogenesis..everyone should ignor this video completely

  • thats not muse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm actually glad Chopin is on this video instead of the actual song

  • there album cover art is based on hit gameshows! hexagons from blockbuster and gold tower from go for gold (or something like that?!).....WEIRD HUH?!

  • Wrong song man, this is the (+Collateral Damage) part of United States of Eurasia.

  • hey if anybody stares at the picture does it looks like its getting closer to you?

  • @doesitwork44 Yes! Really weird....

  • its Colateral Damage, the second part of United States of Eurasia

  • Well, at least matches the topic :)

Though I would prefer not having to get up and use the CD :P

Gonna play it on the computer, after all....

    :)

  • This is not the real part 2 song. It's just chopin

  • @museanswer ... just Chopin. How can you say just Chopin he is a fucking genius

  • @dorian1010

Sorry if I offended you by saying "Just Chopin" by I was just pointing out to the people who doesn't know that this isn't the real Exogenesis Symphony Part II song by muse.

  • Jesus, you people are so funny. Discussing what your thoughts on NOT EVEN muse's Exogenesis Part 2 song??

If you DO have The Resistance album, please re-listen part 2 again then you'll find this is NOT Exogenesis part 2....

  • YEs its from the album resistance but only a improv of op 9 no 2 and at the end of a song

  • This is from Chopin --'

  • @mia14576 Yes, it's Nocturne Op.9 No. 2.

  • pretty sure this is the united states of eurasia ending o.O

  • this is not from the album The Resistance

  • wtf? this is nocturne, by chopin not muse ? wtfis going on with this?

  • beautiful piece, though not cross-pollination, but that's obvious, however muse clearly has been influenced by chopin :)

  • @chikenbeatsall Not influenced by Chopin, it IS Chopin.

  • @ledhed1488 well yea, here it is, but i mean, in hoodoo, the piano part is inluenced by chopin, but yea thats wat i meant, thnx =)

  • this is not cross pollination....

  • Omg yes this is chopin, but it is muse who introduced it again - to the 21st century. Someone has to bring it back. Otherwise it will eventually become more and more forgotten!

  • mmmm this is Chopin.... from Poland :D

    not Muse from GB ;)

  • You sir fail. They are indeed from GB

  • Muse are from great britain... Actual north american bands can't produce that good music... I'm sorry, it's the truth. They produce to sell, in GB they produce to be heard :)

  • Dude, the sad truth is that the produce to sell method is everywhere, even in the UK

  • My point is that you can see that UK bands, as well as USA ones, are intemporal, which is, they produced to be listened independently the time. It is my belief that Nowadays it still happens, mostly the UK, but you can tell a difference between the UK and USA today, in musical matter. You can see that some bands, such as muse aren't a mere object of economic exploitation, and if they do serve market interests, they make good, technical, genuine music, and I guess some of us can tell that.

  • @YunaPT you are so right.

  • @YunaPT You are absolutely right. I live in NAmerica but i hate the music that comes out of it. All of the music I like to listen to comes out of Europe(mainly the UK) with the exception of jazz music which primarily comes from the US

  • @YunaPT Amen to that. (and I'm Amercian.)

  • @YunaPT Right, but don`t forget us germans, in a view months you are one of us!(bad joke)

  • @YunaPT

I very much agree to this view! Muse is fantastic and truly what we need. Unlike this North American dirt called 'music'

  • @YunaPT generally for most bands here in america you would be right but i believe that there are a few exceptions of bands here that want there message to be heard.

  • @YunaPT not the killers :)

  • @HeroHaley I believe the killers sold out with this last album... :/

Non the less their past work is awesome :)

  • @YunaPT i agree. day and age isn't great. BUT I LOVE THE REST!! ha

  • @YunaPT it's not like 75% of the popular music industry is American, but okay buddy.

  • @SomeIncredibleDude I beg your pardon? it is, actually! which country do you think MTV come from? and what sort of music do you see on MTV? mostly the commercial kind... Music in America is a business, not art... sorry... And MTV is like a mind control for the kids, as in the more they watch it the dumber they get, and shallow... It's a freakin' monopoly, and it's a way to sell bad music... by making it look cool through channels like MTV... It's only my realistic opinion though.

  • @YunaPT music in U.S. is no different than anywhere in the world. as long as money holds value it will always play a huge part in any industry. anywhere you go you will find the bands who sll out to be famous and live rockstar lives. and you will find the ones who do it for the music and happen to enjoy making money from it too. dont be too biased with your arguments please.

  • @YunaPT youre right on most parts, NA is all about the money, but the underground bands in the US are amazing, you just wouldnt know about them, because theyre underground and dont sell out for money =]

  • And they say Americans are arrogant...

  • @YunaPT

see how far the beatles went?

    :D

and thats just one great band there are so many

  • @YunaPT not completely true, MOST north american bands produce to sell. The unheard ones are awesome

  • @slideon Well yeah, true. But I'm not north american, and I don't have access to the unheard ones. They don't have reccord label to sell their songs so, therefore you can say they are not producing, but yes making art. I could go on myspace, but I'm sure I'd be wasting a lot of time searching for all those bands :/

  • @YunaPT

I agree with your statement but there are major exceptions like the Red Hot Chili Peppers;)

  • @Pharos10 lol of course, RHCP are by far great! that's one of the few bands that even though they sell millions of reccords (get popular) they produce good music! :)

  • @YunaPT completely agreeable look at all the pop and new rock bands if you can even call them that anymore from North America they are really shitty in comparison to the bands from the UK

  • @YunaPT agreed.

  • @YunaPT There used to be some great American bands up until 2000 and then everything just went to crap, including MTV,

  • @YunaPT C'mon let's not stereotype all of North American music just because you like this song which happens to be performed by a British band. The fact is, you can't state something like that as the truth just because you are feeling the moment of this Symphony.

  • Mate, I'm not stereotyping... I take Muse as an example, but truth is, most of the good music there is NOWADAYS is not american. I like UK bands, but I also like bands from other countries. Yes, US produced a lot of good, genuine music! Hendrix! Guns and Roses, Johnny cash! but, since the beggining of the century the US kinda lost it's way on producing GOOD music! It's just an opinion from a music lover! They sell a lot, because, let's face it! there's a lot of people that lack musical taste!

  • @YunaPT Your right about that mate. :)

  • @tahu1493 And if you say good north american bands end up in great Reccord Labelers nowadays, I need you to tell me some! Cause I just can't find them. WHICH doesn't mean there aren't. They are just not known to public! (Most of them)

  • @YunaPT THIS IS CHOPIN for god's sakes, produced to steal? Credits please! I hope this is some kind of lame joke, in really bad bad taste!

  • @ubuart Seriously, nothing against you or anything, but my comments were actually made in the middle of a debate, in which muse as a band was involved. I just gave my opinion. I am sorry if it is not contextualized now :/

Frankly, I really do not care. But just wanna make things clear.

Besides, the video is chopin, the comment board is whatever you want. ;)

  • @YunaPT yes ur right and oh! tell this to the S club 7 and The spice girls hahaha

  • @Dziobasek25 suk balls

  • fail. chopin nocturne, not muse..

  • This is Chopin. Muse did a cover called 'Collateral Damage' This aint cross pollination.

  • yes this is Chopin. One of the Nocturnes.

  • Ok, this is Chopin. And there are at least 2 more videos here on the Tube with the same song title. ALL OF THEM are different from the ones I have on my computer. So, please tell me SOMEONE, what version is the correct one? I personally don't own the album so...

  • there are 3 parts to this song

  • Yeah I know, I did mention "same song title"! I have part 2 also, which sounds nothing like this.

  • Pero esto no es MUSE, que tiene que ver con Chopin. Esto es chopin!!

  • Chopin much?

  • Chopin :)

  • You've got the song title wrong...

  • the author decided to put chopin nocturne op. 9 no. 2 under a muse title.

    not muses fault authors fault...

  • It is NOT United states of eurasia.

It is Chopin Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2

  • This isn't Exogenesis, this is the part played after United States of Eurasia.

I don't know why all the comments saying this got thumbed down, because it is! This isn't part of Exogenesis.

  • Isn't this by Fréderic Chopin?

    @Matt123ttam

  • and also, i found they did use this song at the end of the united states of eurasia. so thats kinda gay

  • They sound very similar

  • not similar. same in evry way. they copied it

  • This is unites states of eurasia!!!

  • amazing :)

  • this is NOT cross-pollination!

  • my friend showed me this song and i Immediately loved it! muse is my fav band ever XD

  • it's beautiful!

  • lol i've just realised that this is in the end of united states of eurasia

  • This is Chopin Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 to be exact.

  • die erde in einer welt von welten

  • I do believe this isn't the right track. Doesn't the second part have vocals in it?

  • this sounds Similar to one of the songs Matt plays...its a beautioful song but...Not what I was looking for :\

  • chopin ! :) love muse *

  • This video plays the wrong song, it's Nocturne by Chopin!!!

  • Its great a rock star is hugely influenced by a composer, lived over 100 years ago...

  • Matthew is a genius.

  • Comment removed

  • these three songs, to me, are brillant

and also, to moi again, they make you think.

    =P

    love them
