@washmac1 I'm sorry to hear that .. one of my ferrets, Benny, passed away last Saturday. I have a tribute for him on my channel . It's good that they had their few minutes of fame on Youtube aye, at least they had a lovely life <3
So sorry about the loss of your wee little girl.....but 10 years is quite a blessing. My very first ferret lived to be 11. I just know that happy little guys packed big suitcases full of love and a chunk of your heart to take along to the rainbow bridge.

sadly tonight the 1 known as Matilda "Geta", was put to sleep, she battled 2 years with that disease she had, and she was such a fighter throughout, but the last 3 nights she stopped eating and could not take her medicine, and became so weak that she was going to eventually pass, so rather than cause her suffering and pain I had to make the decision, and it hurts so bad, but it was for the best for my wee Queen.
RIP my wee geta girl, you gave me 10 years of great friendship, laughter and love.
thankyou for your comment, the other 1 known as "matilda" is still fighting away, she has "Insoloma" and is being treated with Prednisolone, alot of her fur has fallen out due to the treatment, but just in the last 2 - 3 weeks she has got a little bit of a winter coat coming through, and thats nice to see.
She has been fighting this desease for nearly 2 years now, shes had her ups and downs, some downs really scary, but other times you wouldnt even know she has it, shes nearly 10 years old now so shes getting old aswell, but she constantly suprises me.

I would think your climate is perfect for ferrets.Living in Texas, we have to take a lot of precautions to avoid them getting too hot.Ferrets can't tolerate temps over 75, 80 at the most, they don't sweat, so can't disapate the heat.We only have 8 or our original 15 left and they are the best anti-depressants, always give 100% love!!
Ive also heard tht ferrets "in america" for example can b very expensive to care of (vet bills ect), but all n all I would totally recomend getting 1, they make amazing pets and u are always treated to a show every time u let them out to play,and can b affectionate aswell, just think bfore u buy 1, ask yourself do I have the time 2 care for it, they crave and require alot of attention.
I wudnt call them agressive, more mischieves than anything, a ferret raised the WRONG way can b agressive, but if u raise it right it can make an amazing pet, they do need alot of care aswell, they go to the toilet alot, so cage (or what ever u use) wud need 2 b cleaned out every day (2 days max).
I should also say that these ferrets are treated like kings and queen here, they are let out everyday for playtime, got the full run of our house, and are loved very much, they are family pets and are not used for hunting, but we would sometimes tie a string to a rolled up sock r something, and they love it.
the female is kept separete because it is less bother for her, her cage is 2ft by 4ft, which connects to a giant sandpit by a pipe below her bed, her she can dig holes play with all her toys ect ect.
lol, firstly they dont all stay in that cage, the 2 males have a 7ft long by 6ft cage divided in to sections with 2 beds, it also has 3 levels top part would be where they eat,second floor is to play, 3rd floor is for the toilet ect, they also have a bulit in maze at the bottom which makes 2 cages into 1

they live in cages 3-4 times the size of that 1, that cage was omly used for filmimg purposes! i know loads about ferrets aswell ther great animals.
