It probably would have been nice if Waldo The Magnificent appeared and used his magic to give Sam a huge amount of strength so he could do those five chin ups without any problems, even if there were heavy rocks in his pocket. Then Waldo could use his magic again and erase Crummington's rude mind he's been doing with Jeff, Jodie, Sam, and Muffy. (I'm sure Waldo would do these things since in the "Adventure" episode, he said that Jeff, Jodie, Sam, and Muffy are his dear friends).
From 7:02-7:09 if Crandall J. Crummington was really telling the truth that he really likes and admires Jeff, Jodie, Sam, Muffy, and Bleep, he should have apologized to them for his rude behavior. (He should have said something like "I hope you all will forgive me for my rude behavior, I just wanted to keep the store as safe as I can at night as the night manager." Unfortunately, he was probably lying from 7:02-7:09 because he was giving a rude teasing look at 7:28).
That's a very good point. Probably the look at 7:28 that Crummington made saying "I have been defeated" (as you mentioned) also is a look saying "I lost, and they won." Also, probably Crummington was thinking and saying to himself at 7:28 "this is going to be a lot harder than I thought because no matter what I do and what I try, they will never give up their jobs" since Jeff, Jodie, Sam, Muffy, and Bleep were singing a song that they will never be through with anything and never give up.
At 7:28 when Crandall J. Crummington was making that rude teasing look either to himself or to Jeff, Jodie, Sam, Muffy, and Bleep that they were singing it probably would have been better at 7:28 if Crandall J. Crummington looked at the audience and said "they sure are great employees" or "they have great singing voices" or "I think I am going to like this job." (He was probably lying when he said that he really likes and admires them from 7:02-7:09).
From 2:26-8:01, wasn't it time for Crandall J. Crummington to go home since from 2:26-8:01 was early morning and he is the store's night manager, and it was probably time for the store's morning manager to go on shift? However, if he thinks that Sam is a weak security guard to work at night then he should either quit his job just for being rude or, he can switch job shifts with the morning manager just so that he doesn't have to worry about the safety of the store at night with Sam.
She was probably in the store and never slept at night because she was probably very busy helping train Sam to do five chin ups, and she was also busy trying to find a good store job for Bleep. (Maybe once she, Jeff, Muffy, and Sam finished singing the song "We're Not Through Yet" was when she went to go home to sleep).
At 6:39, I thought that it was very rude of Crandall J. Crummington to give that exaggerated yawn saying "boring!" when Bleep was talking, and not letting Bleep finish. Most importantly, Crandall J. Crummington told Jeff, Jodie, Sam, and Muffy to train Bleep in giving a good job for Bleep to do in the store so it was very rude of him to not listen to what was going on, especially when he said from 6:07-6:12 that the two parts to the deal was the chin ups and retraining Bleep.
all i gotta say is i used to luv this show whenever it ran on television and mostly rite now im feelin a little sad like cryin everytime i hear the ending theme because it sounds so classical and it brings tears to me cuz i sure miss the show it was the best especially Jeff i liked him the most just wish the show could've kept goin for a long time. way to go the cast of the show and everyone else
I thought that it was a little strange at 7:28 that Crandall J. Crummington was making a rude teasing look either to himself or to all Jeff, Jodie, Sam, and Muffy just because they were singing since from 7:02-7:09 he said that he likes all four of them how they help each other and not quit which he said that he admires.
For me, I felt that it was a sad ending for the episode not having him sing with the four of them or smiling at them or at the audience while they were singing.
Yes, it also makes me cry too whenever I see Crandall J. Crummington III make that teasing look. (He was probably joking when he told them that he likes all four of them from 7:02-7:09).
I also really miss this show (it was my favorite show). I once emailed PBS and asked them if Today's Special can go back on television and they said the reason why Today's Special went off air was because, it wasn't a PBS program.
I have some Today's Special information which I will email to you.
I remember seeing Crandall J. Crummington III but, I didn't remember which episode he was on and I didn't remember that he was the new store's night manager. In the beginning, I thought he was some stranger where either Jeff, Jodie, Sam, or Muffy let him in the store while Sam was doing chin ups, and he was bullying Sam, and then at the end, I thought they bought a picture of himself for him just so that he would stop bullying Sam which was the reason why he said that he liked it.
That's true. I wonder why he was hired as the store manager when the person who hired him should've known how rude he was (maybe all of his names of references were friends of his, and they made a lie about him how good he is, just so that he will get the job). I'm sure whoever hired him would've found out that he is a very rude spy. Even the customers probably would've found out and the store would probably lose business because of him.

The guy with the mustache looks strangely enough like John Maynard Keynes.

At 7:28, it looked like a look of defeat on Crummington's face. Like a sigh and a look that says "I have been defeated!"

The picture of Crummington used to scare me when I was a child. His smile was sinister looking, and he was a nasty, sneaky SOB.
