Garnett wasnt the Celtics leader when Boston won the NBA championship in 2008. Paul Pierce was. (MVP). Same that Gasol in LA. Even thinking that Gasol is the most important piece in my opinion. He does it all. Prime Garnett was better than Prime Gasol, but the gap isnt that big people think. Gasol is an unbelievable talent.

Nowitzki is by far the best foreign PF, if not the best overall PF. I say that with no pro-American bias. Howard was an injury replacement all star one year. Finley left by the Finals appearance, and Stack was way past his prime.

Pau had nothing in Memphis and did even worse. 0-12 is historically bad; most bad teams win at least one or two games. Dirk carried his team to 50+ wins in 9 straight seasons, most years as the team's best player. In LA, Pau doesn't have a supporting cast, he IS the supporting cast.

Grizzlies played that 3 play off series, against Tim Duncan Spurs Dynasty, The Suns when Nash was MVP and the same 2006 Dirk Mavs. Its hilarious you denied the Mavs had a better supporting cast than the Grizz BY FAR. Dirk is a superstar that carries his team, Pau isn't. The only thing Pau does better is defend, but Dirk's defense isn't nearly as bad these days as it's often made out to be.

In last year's finals Gasol posterized Garnett. And overall Gasol made Garnett look like a little boy. The only way Garnett could stop Gasol was fouling him like crazy, but you know the refs swallowed their whistles on the orders of David Stern.

Not that it matters. Garnett showed throughout this season that he's a loser with a big mouth and a small heart. He's soft, but some people think he's tough coz he pumps his chest when Ray Allen and Paul Pierce win a game for him.

Garnett is awesome and better player...as individual.

Gasol also younger. Future at Lakers looks promising, now playing as a true PF.
