@kc1597 I have several Lava Lamps. Some use refrigerator bulbs with a standard thread. The smaller ones use a "lamp" bulb like in a night light that have a smaller base. I take the burned out ones to the store with me.

i have a question, i have a black lava lamp with clear liquid, cept the light bulb makes the glass yellow, light bulb i use is a 40w and 120 v a15, any of u have any suggestions?

so i bought another one and it did the same

after i turned it onn for the 2nd or so time.

most probably you have shaken it when it was turned on. If so, switch it on for about 5 - 7 hours and it'll go back to its original state. Hope this helps. :)

u proble left it of for a long time and it got realy hot and u need to switch it off for 3-5 hours the same thing happen to me u only sapose to leave it on for 10 hours and trun it off best way to stop this is to plug in a timer  hope this helps =-D
