I seem to like Sachiko Tomonaga the most, her voice is very deep, crisp, clean and hits me deep down to my soul, although I do enjoy everyone of them. This is why in the past years I've been listening languages I don't get.
Whenever I listen to a song in a language I don't quite understand and only knowing a few words it seems that every singer sounds Incredible to me. My comprehension does not interfere with an Amazing song that pleases my ears. I have a hard time finding a pleasing artistes in English or my native tongue Hmong.
I knew this sounded familiar!!! This tune was translated into English by Nancy Fletcher, which was then sampled by doug E Fresh later in the eighties. Music knows no boundaries. Please don't get into arguments as to who was better or what isn't a good enough comparison. Music is a form of expression and everyone is worthy to express it.
I love this! One of our little tribe posted it on our wall - come say hello! Also - feel invited to post your links...look up "Worlders - A Tribe of Wanderers" on Facebook (they won't let me give you the link here)...
It is a song sung by a man overwhelmed by sadness and loneliness who is whistling and looking up in order to keep from crying. It was the first (only?) song in Japanese to be a #1 hit in the US. In the song he says that he is all alone. To which I reply that Japan is not alone in this moment of sadness.
wonderful!!!

I can't say how often I listened meanwhile.....
Yet my thought go across the waters again and again..
towards my beloved friends -- from the '67 "VILLAGE"
and the '72 "Junior" meeting / gathering....
towards there families - even though they might not be 'affected' upon first sight ?!

個人的に、とても思い入れのある曲。
多くのアーティストの方々が、参加され、1つの作品に仕上がって
(知ってるアーティストもいるし!)より、思い入れが強い曲になりました。
ほっこりできる映像です。
