Lorelai finally admits that Emily MAY be right and she MIGHT have feelings for Luke, her first response is I knew it followed quickly by "Now we can discuss what on earth you could possibly be thinking." Most of her "you're perfect for each other" comments were her expressing her annoyance at Lorelai's lack of judgement in men, afraid she'd pick Luke to spend her life with.
