  • Fritzing has hundreds of parts in its library. If they dont have it there is a section to make it. Also you can order what you make from them. You do not have to etch your own boards. (just a friendly note)

  • How big library of components it has?

I mean does it has the microcontrollers, logic IC's etc?

Or it's just for simplest toy things?

  • Just what I have been looking for, thankyou.

  • This looks just the sort of thing Iv'e been looking for!

    Thanks for posting.

  • This is a cool app. for beginners but in the long run you'd be better off learning how to use Eagle PCB or another similar tool. You would typically build a circuit starting with a schematic anyway so there's really no need to use a simulated bread-board layout.

  • wouldve been so much better if the app/program can actually test to see if the ccircuit connections work.kind of like a virtual breadboard

  • This is really cool! Thanks! I'm a CET student at DeVry and not only an Arduino freak, but it helps me understand more (big picture) of what I would like to build also! We have MISM software which does other stuff like building truth tables and all kinds of other stuff, but nothing like printing schematics. It looks less complicated too with the icons till you get familiar with components.

  • Where did you find so many components for the library? I need a 14 pin IC component

  • fritzing realy "lools" quiet nice and professional. however...if i start designing from breadboard view i often get LOTS N LOTS of problems placing the parts right , or fritzing selects the WRONG TOOL so it draws links where i just want to select a part and so on. the "Workflow" in fritzing i think is AWEFULL atm!!! starting from breadboard view i figgured i putted the LEDs or the wring direction. "turning" the LEDs into the right polarity turned out to be an almost impossible task.

  • @axel1973w, I had the exact same initial impression, however it is one of those tools which is just way too awsome, but are heavily under-documented. Things have just started improving. The workflow isn't obvious, so do checkout the official Fritzing video tute series as well, since they do share lot of tips n tricks, and the workflow become obvious.
