She is incredible. As for the performance,I do not think she does the lyrics justice since seemingly more in want of showing great vocal-technique than delivering the message. But then again, that is my opinion. I love the Sissel version much more. Search for Sissel and go to the song. ANd try also solitaire,which is an early recording for her. =)

Her name is Carmen Monarcha - a brazilian opera singer - she is one of the greatest addidtions to Andre Rieu's orchestra. I've heard this aria sung by Callas (and I thought it was the only version I liked) - however, now after watching this marvellous performance, I can oly say BRAVA CArmen !! She is delicious in this role - she truly captures the innocence and dramatism of the role.
