  • NICE vid ;)

  • Muy buen cover compradre te dejo mi version por si le quieres hechar un ojo un abrazo desde merida!

  • are the tabs in this book perfect cause i was thinking of buying it.

  • @mtbxcfreak The book is worth buying for the backing tracks alone! The tabs are REALLY good, maybe a mistake or two (with some legato or hammer-on parts), but otherwise spot on! Keep the music alive ;)

  • Hi, nice playing, just listen to my personal way of playing it....

    Bye

    Dominik

    France

  • great job man, any tabs ?

  • @samoanbigboii Sorry, it's in a book. But you can find some decent ones on the net. Get one, listen to the original, correct the tab and practice - a great way to learn!

  • Yeah. Great job!!

  • nice job man

  • lol good very good

  • very good, its very emotional piece of music, sorry for my english, I play on drums (roland hd-1) to your performance and i try to be in the rythm

  • How did you learn it if its the way with tabs can you give those tabs or that site PLS, Also great playing Nice guitar Great wourk! :)

  • @54ACKO54 it's from the book "Jam With Carlos Santana". But I recommend listening and playing with the original record - it's the best way to learn it.

  • yeah!!! thats is all master... jajajja.. continue.. im learning this song... any recomendation¿?

  • very well done my friend!

  • Very nice! Im sure it would sound better with better recording equiptment.

  • Hi,

    Great sound!

    What amp or pedal ?

    Thanks

  • @100bertrand Read the description, everything is written in there.

  • cool! i have a gibson just like yours:) Classic right?

  • @woksin Nope, it's just an Epiphone Les Paul. But a Gibson Classic is a really lovely guitar (and that deep cherry sunburst is great).

  • nice man. check my video on my channel

  • very goodd!!

  • You are really good ;)

  • peròòò bravo il tipo!!!!

  • That's awesome, man. A fantastic song played just right.

  • can i have the tabs for this please

  • @Rodrigo3141 Sorry, I don't have the tabs for this; but search the internet, there are many tabs out there. For incorrect tabs, correct them yourself, that way you will learn a whole lot. And listen to the original recording as much as possible, especially the little nuances in Santana's playing.

  • very nice playing and good tone, check out my cover of this and many more songs, comments really appreciated!

  • Great playing, tone and rhytm as well..

  • If I could play like that I wouldn't have to do the other sh-t I have to do to pay the rent. Good job!!

  • te la rifas ijo io de rato me subo tocandola tmbn a ver si la hago = de genial Q tuu salee

  • very good!!! but try to do it a bit faster ^^

  • :) Sorry, that's the tempo of the original song and that's how fast the backing track was... can't play it faster.

  • i really like your guitar. hahaa

  • Other than the timing issues (which you already addressed and cleared up) this is a very accurate version! nice job man

  • About my vid - around the third minute I gett off beat, cause it was quite hard for me to hear the backing track, but then it gets back on track. But for everything else - listen to the original. It's meant to be played that way. Santana rushes certain phrases, other times his delivery is lazy and relaxed. It's a matter of taste, phrasing and character. Watch some of his live concerts, especially aroung 87-92 (his best Europa renditions in my opinion come from those tours).

  • Nice tone! Nice guitar and amp!

I have also a Trademark 10 as I simply I love that amp! So tinny but so nice to play!!! Anyway, congratulations for you (nice) version of Europa.

  • magnifico pana lo maximo....

  • ok ......................................

  • can you send me the tabs please ?

You are very good.. I try to play this song but i'm not a pro ... thank you very much !!

  • Great..

  • Break that compressor lol. It souds so quite, even with compressor

  • I had no compressor running - my complete setup is posted in video description. It's the bad mic on the cell cam. I have a webcam now, my later videos are of better quality. BTW, checked out your sweep picking - NICE!!!

  • 5 STARS

  • Dude! not bad man..u need better recording quality on the vid but it's great man...Nice Job

  • Amazing cover man...brings back so many memories...well played

  • could you give me the tabs to? It'd be great. Thanks anyway

  • slow down a bit just try it

  • can you send me the sheet music/notes for europa. thanks leozingy.

  • Check your private messages. Enjoy playing it!

  • are u a note reader?

  • I can read notes for piano really good (I played for 6 years and am now relearning how to play it), but I read notes for guitar REALLY slowly, so I use mostly tab. But the best way to capture the feel of the original is to listen and work it out (never rely completely on tabs, even guitar magazines get it wrong sometimes). Greets!

  • This is the best cover yet. Too bad the recording quality is poor.

  • nice cover, watch mine to:P

  • play this song to ur girl and youll get some instantly

  • @williemhrdine72 actually my guitar got some ;)

  • you kick ass man! very good. check out mine too. i hope you like it brother!

  • hey get the cover just a question Cules dishes you used and any special effect or something? agradesco good since we are now thanks

  • Everything I used is in video description - only a Boss delay and that's it. See my Samba Pa Ti comment section, where I explain how I got the tone. Greets!

  • NICE!!!!!!!! omg

  • Awesome! 5 stars from Hawaii :D

  • anybody is goin to be like santana man anybody!! but you play really good man with some mistakes but u play it really good keeppit up

  • TOCAS MUY BIEN LA GUITARRA!

  • muy buen cover de europa

  • U r a very good guitar player. The world needs more santanas.

  • very very very very good...................davvero bravo....my compliments...coplimenti

  • muy buena,,,y eso que soy fan one de santana

  • dude how did u get that tone

  • I get into some detail about the Santana tone on my other video, Samba Pa Ti. Hope it helps!

  • very good

  • epiphone les paul nice i have one and i can't play like him.

  • 5 stars!

  • Great job man...

And you don't need a PRS to play this.

Even Carlos used a Yamaha back in the 70's

Its not the guitar folks it's the player..

  • Where did you get that book i've been trying to find a book like that

  • bravo, congratulation for all, except the final part!

  • buy a PAUL REED SMITH...what santana used.

  • hey pretty nice, whats your guitar name and model? which guitar i buy to sound like santana guitar?

  • I have an Epiphone Les Paul. Just about any solidbody with a bit more weight and two humbuckers is pretty good for Santana style of music. An Epiphone SG, Les Paul, Yamaha SG, Ibanez ARC, Yamaha AES etc. will get you in the ballpark (well, considering that you're running a tight budget). The rest is in the tone (check for the Santana tone guide on the Samba Pa Ti video I made, I get into the details in the comments on the vid).

  • This song is also known as Y Volvere.

  • how long did it take you to learn this song?

  • Took me a week to learn the notes and how to play them in the right sequence. But it took me 2-3 months of listening to the original and getting the nuances to sound somewhat close to the original (don't worry, I wasn't drilling this exclusively for 3 months, I played a whole lot of other stuff inbetween). But I learned this when I was really beginning to learn how to play so...

  • It did not take Carlos Santana very much to learn it because he ripped it off Los Angeles Negros...and it is called Y Volvere.

  • You dont know much about Santana. He didnt rip it off them. Carlos made this song in the 60's it was until the 70's he released it. Santana is a old band so other people use his stuff. Nice cover.

  • Not to step on any toes, but Los Angeles Negros released Y Volvere in 1970, Santana wrote Europa with his keyboardist in 1975 (according to Santana interviews) in 1975. Santana's "inspiration" is obvious, but he made this song his own (just like he did with Peter Green's 'Black Magic Woman'). So in the end, Europa is IMHO still one of the greatest guitar instrumentals ever.

  • Are you sure? at first he didn't name it Europa. Until the Earth,Fire and wind tour in Europe where he decide to play it for the first time. Well doesn't matter. Is the a Epiphone LP Standard?

  • If you still have doubts look at this video watch?v=lEWa86IEdMI.

  • Yeah, it's an Epi LP, but some weird limited edition, because the burst is not as cherry as others. Thanks for the video link, very helpful!

  • Your Welcome, What i like about this the most was the tone you came really close to Carlos actual tone. Keep it up man.

  • Bravo Leo!

  • pretty cool, but where is the end of this song?

  • The backing track just isn't long enough. And the end is pretty hard to figure out due to a lot of gain with wah on the original record.

  • good job man!, some tabs??

  • Mit tud a Srác!

  • i dont speak any french. the only thing i heard, was guitar speach.. sounded damn good too. cheers.

  • J'adore cette musique les accors sont parfait! Santana est est pour moi un grand guitariste

  • I don't know much French, but luckily my girlfriend does. Merci beaucoup!

  • gracias!!!

  • men great tone, great feeling, too bad the mic couldn't get more of the great sound you was playing... but 5/5 men...

I read your description about the video and I saw that you have the backing track... is there any chance to get it from you?? I mean can you send it to me please?? I'd really apreciate your answer...

    rock on!

  • Very Very nice 5* a lot of feel ur not just plucking notes

  • good job ;) Awsome! ;D

  • Nice rendition. Chops, sound, and changes are pretty nice. Nice emotional guitar sound attack (at 1:07-1:22) on the neck too.

  • Thank you very much!

  • rock on dude...

  • Nice cover dude +5. good tone good job realy good...:)

  • Good stff.

  • Nice nice nicee!!!

the better version cover i'ben watched

  • nie guiar

  • which sound is it?... or what's that effect..

  • I think Santana originally used either a Leslie rotary speaker or a chorus pedal, I'm not sure. I used the modulation mode on my DD-20 GigaDelay Boss pedal, but it's obviously not the same as the original recording. A tremolo or vibrato effect pedal might also do the trick.

  • And were is your own solo?. U r a very good guitar player. The world needs more santanas.

  • Thanx. Well, I'll get to that soon, hopefully :)

  • Thanx! I did restrain myself somewhat, just to stay in the frame...

  • Nice slick performance.....great tone.
