To be honest, I didn't totally /hate/ the vocals. I just think they were a bit overused in this one. The one or two per song is actually a really nice touch in the 8-bit soundfont (I'm thinking specifically of Rainbow Dash's "20% cooler" line). Anyway, nice job with this, as always.

For example, the voice that says "awesome and cool. Got it!" is a good spot because that's when there's no melody. "Otters and seals do not fly" wasn't because that was too soon after the last voice clip, so it was kinda tedious.

Like I said, using 8-bit voices is not a problem. You just have to be careful not to use them too often. When used in the right amount, they'll be able to enhance a song rather than distract.

The only downside I can see with this version is that it has a few awkward pauses where the vocals would normally be, or at least thats the conclusion I've come to. It'd be nice to have a version without the 1-2 second pauses in the song, but that's just because it sounds a little weird without the voices.

I will admit that for this song the voices did sound odd, and while I find the piece "smoother" without them, I will agree that it does make it feel a little empty at parts as well.

I almost wish that we could put SOMETHING in those parts, just not the chip-tuned voices. It's a shame that the lines couldn't be put in as if they were sung rather than spoken somehow. So "Do you even know me?" becomes "DO-DO-DO-DO-DO, DO".
