No, I didn't buy anything. I simply used some of the presests that came with VOPM (fxb files). That bass sound is "Slap bass 1". It is probably a rip from some arcade or Genesis game.
Other sounds are either made from scratch (the bell, one of the easiest sounds to make in FM, and the string pads) or ripped from Sonic 2 (the brass sound).
Thank you for pointing it out. I've updated the description of the video accordingly. I also took the opportunity to make another and more dynamic mastering.
I like that bass sound very much too. It reminds me a DX7mkII preset named "Superbass". This is in fact a preset found in one of the various VOPM soundbanks (in FXP format, the "tone" folder).
Those soundbanks come with the softsynth by default. They actually contain many useful and excellent sounds (most may be portage from different games).
Now THIS is how you do a Sonic Remix!
Sonic would approve.

damn that bass is awesome, it sounds like a real 80s song. Almost what the Genesis soundchip would sound like if it had higher sound quality
did you buy the VST sounds you used in this song cause it doesnt sound like the shitty FL Studio presets lol

How did you load the fxb file? I've got a lot of them too, but from what I can tell VOPM only accepts opm files.

Awesome! I love the bass especially--it's very twangy, which gives it a unique, upbeat feel that's hard to come across outside of FM sounds.

Nice. I really like it. BTW, will you be doing act 2's tune as well, or will it sound horrible?

Thanks. ^^
In fact, I'm not really interested in doing act 2 for now but I'm keeping an eye on it. Of course, it will sound at least as good as this one.
