I got this game for Sega CD in 94' I think, it has diffrent sounds and skin but it's entirely the same game. Still have it and man it's hard but I stil love it. The last newest one you can download on xbox live or psn I think, they've made it easier and gave it a newer look, Not sure I like the changes though.

how do you get past the guard without killing him?

there's other way to make it. you brought him to the left board, then you go to the left board again. in the roof there's a weak stage. you go up and then you appear ahead. :D
