Im always confused by the fact that they made hieroglyphs explaining every facet of their lives and yet failed to mention the building of the most incredible structure ever built. I think the idea of it being a launching platform is interesting but using it as some sort of beacon seems more likely. Have you done any research into that theory? All pyramids have a connection with what is loosely described as sun worship. (this is not to say its true but there are strong arguments and good evidence at Giza especially to support the general idea.)
The problem with any pyr being a signalling device is in what medium are they signalling in? Sunlight, for example, even from the Great pyramid would only be reflected to around 30,000ft because of the natural divergence of reflected light (4more see my book called The Perfect Pyramid).
Agree that what's new is old but having designed and built a number of competion hovercraft, I'm very well acquainted with the technology. The 175lb/ft2 for the blocks at Teotihuacan mighty seem feasible this way but at BaalBek the blocks are also thick and would require (by my calc) around 1200lbs/ft2 (>8.3lbs/in2). No way!

Whilst theoretically feasible can you imagine the logistics of keeping the air space and blocks sufficiently heated to maintain the necessary steam pressure - and/or making gas bags that would last more than a few seconds. An interesting hypothesis, but also highly speculative, a pyramid is an inferior lens for electromagnetic radiation. Also it would seem to be a rather over-elaborate, perhaps even wasteful use of materials. On the other hand a vast pyramid structure would provide a good beacon. The largest cranes in the world (in major shipyards) could move blocks weighing 800-1000 tonnes but we have no available technology to carry such a load for 2-3 kms, as seen at BaalBek. The modern limit for mobile cranes is around 80-100 tonnes. You go figure!

An interesting hypothesis, but also highly speculative, a pyramid is an inferior lens for electromagnetic radiation. Also it would seem to be a rather over-elaborate, perhaps even wasteful use of materials. On the other hand a vast pyramid structure would provide a good beacon. Only intelligent life could construct one. If life abounds throughout the universe, perhaps only a small minority are technologically advanced? A pyramid would signal intelligence, alone, sufficient reason to build them.

Well done! A very interesting and plausible hypothesis. When combined with Christopher Dunn's work, a bit of Velikovsky, Stitchin, Hoagland, even Charles N. Pope (domain of man . com), then take a look at some OOPARTS and the Vedas of India, we start seeing a completely different history than we've always been taught. The speculations in some of those materials are questionable, but the facts do remain. What is finally revealed is that nothing we've ever been taught is true.

Question everything. Investigate everything. Velikovsky was pilloried and his life was ruined by powerful detractors, but most of his hypotheses have proven to be true. The same with much of Stitchin's work. Most of what modern man has based 'history' upon is mere speculation. The rest? The rest can be attributed to the worst thing that ever happened to the scientific or scholarly methods: Uniformitarianism. Life isn't uniformly linear and neither is the history of earth. It's cyclic.

The largest cranes in the world (in major shipyards) could move blocks weighing 800-1000 tonnes but we have no available technology to carry such a load for 2-3 kms, as seen at BaalBek. The modern limit for mobile cranes is around 80-100 tonnes. You go figure!

With the exception of moving 600 ton blocks 2000 miles (which i cannot now claim to physically prove as my source appears to be in dispute) my work and findings are based entirely on solid evidence. From practical research, I hope very soon to publish more details of the technology involved.

In 5000 b.c. earth was spinning much faster and so everything was lighter, including the stone blocks. It only took a couple of guys to carry one from the quarry.

I think we all need to step back, do our own critical analaysis and look at more evidence before we asume anything. Very interesting none the less, no matter if it's true or not. It's obvious we don't have everything right, and this could possibly bee a step closer.

I'm no expert, but the pyramids seem like power generators of some sort - certainly they had a more practical reason than as 'tombs' (that's a joke) - no leader would waste that much resource in manpower and materials for a coffin; besides, where are the bodies?
The ritualistic/ceremonial uses and excuses - I think that started afterwards, not knowing how to 'use' them, people started worshiping at them.
Practical reasons were forgotten after some break in civilization, such as a global flood?

Ignorant... So how did the Ancient Sumerians know how many planets there are in our solar system, their precise sizes, their location, positions and even the correct colours? We didn't know the colours of Neptune and Uranus until we sent our Voyager 1 and they were exactly as the Sumerians described in their texts; Blue & Green, correct sizes.

I think the major points are how did they move these blocks,stack them and know about the planets? why do most of these structures have blocks that are not from the areas in which they are built? Is it not apparent that they had help? Research a little deeper and you will find that there are references to fying objects coming from the heavens even in the bible!Should make you wonder!;)

the blocks don't proof the theory of using pryamids as launch base.. even if it were true that they may have had advanced technology, your thesis and the blocks-question are still not logically connected.

I didn't argue that the pyramids weren't built with 600+ blocks. Where is the proof that any study or anyone has ever even suggested that mica blocks came from Brazil. Where did you get this information from, if not from your imagination or that of another conspiracy theorists. Truth does not crome from speculation, it comes from physical evidence. If there was that then you might have some chance in leaving the science fiction realm.

I accept the source of the mica as inconclusive but not the size of the blocks. Those at Teotihuacan are over 600 tons and those at BaalBek, over 800 tons. Transport from a quarry even 2km-3km away (B/Bek) would present a problem even with our best current technology. The loads are not beyond the capacity of a major shipyard straddle-crane but only within said shipyard. Can you offer any reasonable explanation other than the use of an extremely advanced technology?

I apologise unreservedly, I should have included 'it is claimed' the mine site has been identified in Brazil. In mitigation I'd found many references to this claim on apparently reputable sites and had assumed (wrongly it now seems) that it was accepted as fact.
I consider myself most properly chastised on this point but I stand by my challenge. You (apparently) accept the size of the blocks as being 'over 600 (tons?)'. Tell me please, how were they moved but by an advanced technology?

Think about it and study the detail. As a central focussing element of a solar collector of 800m radius, the pyramid would potentially control <2Gigawatts (2000Mw) of energy. I stand by my claims.
