  • @mnchrmcycln

  • @suelynn76 Thanks!

  • Shes not wearing the honey wings there.....shes wearing Geo's Bambi series:p

  • @Kenryuu17 Actually, the magazine says Honey Wings... :)

  • @suelynn76 But they're still GEO Bambi.

  • @Yuukitana

    Clarification on the lenses:

    (1) These were listed as GEO Honey Wing which were ALSO designed for Tsubasa (so was the GEO Ash Wing).

    (2) I uploaded this tutorial on 11 March 2010, taken from a magazine published BEFORE that. The GEO Bambi/Princess Mimis were not even in existence yet.

  • @Kenryuu17 yes, actually she´s wearing sesame grey or green apple from the bambi series , or like i read in some circle lenses store they´re called too princess mimi

  • @suelynn76 probably the magazine were mistaken and said this model is honey wing and is not, as you say mimi series came out in 2011 so you´re right in that..

  • @suelynn76 Sure the princess mimi/bambi's have been widely available recently, but don't forget AngelColor started distributing it in august 2010 or so. (only in japan) Why did Tsubasa have it before it was released? She designed it, duh. At that time no one knew what lenses she had because it wasn't out yet, so the magazine probably assumed it was the honeywings. On another note the honeywings don't look like that, theyre 2 tone and the bambi are 3tone.

  • @Kenryuu17

    My final statement:

All I can say is this tutorial came from a pseduo-magazine-ADVERTORIAL featuring Koji DollyWink & CandyDoll products designed by/for Tsubasa, items from her makeup bag and such.

Would her management people cross-check an Advertorial? YES!

Yes, PROBABLY they're unreleased Princess Mimi/Bambi prototypes. But they're LISTED as Honey Wings, and it's not my place to say they're not.

So, please don't DUH me when you DO NOT know where I'm coming from.

  • oh you forgot about contouring,

in heaps of her magazine scan tutorial, theres usually contouring

  • spectacular tips and hints - thanks, has anybody used Rimmel's new range of products? its not easy to find quality makeup in John Sam Lake yet you can get some impressive samples of makeup using "Gratis-Makeup-Samples", there handy!

  • it's funny how something sooo simple can make such a difference. japanese people are brilliant, i must say. :p

  • hey suelynn!!!!! <3 this really looks simple and cute!!

  • pretty

  • Those circle lenses look creepy!

  • @ToffeeChips19 Yes, I know :P I rarely do Dolly-EYes like these anyways, but she's highly Requested...

  • @suelynn76 thanks! i'll look into those ^_^

  • I wish her dolly wink lashes were easier to find in the states! I hate ordering stuff online...what lashes look like (or at least close enough) to the dolly wink #1? (anybrand thats easy to find in the states)

  • @helloprincessx3 Hi there, Gotta admit it, some Dolly Wink lashes are rather unusual, but only if you scrutinise them REALLY closely...But after you stick them on your lashes...^_~

I really think that super dramatic lashes that are not Dolly Wink would do the job just as well...

  • @suelynn76 thanks for replying back to me! i actually ended up finding one that is KIND OF like dolly wink #1!!! i got it from sallys! I forgot the brand name but it was around 4$ and the name started with an a...not modlash but it started with an a and it said "natural" and the name of the one is "demi pixie" it was shorter in length than the dolly ones but i must admit it did the job! hahah thought i'd let you know just in case you wanted one too :)

  • @helloprincessx3 Ardell? Oh, I'm in Malaysia, so I have access to Sasa stores ^_^ But these lashes just flew off the shelves - fortunately I got them just in time for FuzKittie b4 they went OOS LOL

  • @helloprincessx3 The Koji lashes, I mean...Ardells, we have maybe 2-3 types only...

  • i love the look!! it's simple but has a bold and big impact! thank you for posting it!

  • @3ssential hiya hiya...long time no "see" LOL Oh yea...Her look is practically all liner & falsies, no? ^_^ You do adore falsies, I notice ^_^

  • Hey hun, I love pink cheeks on Korean and Japaneses models, actresses etc. However, i have problem finding one that is .. as cute as theirs. I understand that they use lighting and all.. But I would like to know some of the specific colour (brand name, colour code, or colour number) that they use. Please help me out! Thanks love xoxo

  • @ashleetrinh Hi Ashlee, sorry for the late reply. I've been waffling becoz it's gonna be a long reply :) I was looking thru my stash and I only have 2 Jill Stuart & a Maquillage blush! LOL The rest are non-Asian brands...

I'm 100% sure you don't need Korean/Jap blushes to achieve the cute pink cheeks :) It really depends on the (1) your foundation & (2) the formulation of your blush.

  • @ashleetrinh If you are using a powder foundation or you set your liquid with a coloured powder, and then buff even the TRUEST pink blush into it, your blush is sure to take a peachy tinge after "mixing" with the foundation/setting powder. Thus, the less buffing, the better.

  • @ashleetrinh Which brings me to the next part - the blush. I mentioned in a haul vid that I prefer to use light-medium pigmented blushes and layer on. The reason being, I don't need to buff & buff till the cows come home to blend it in. I prefer to pat on the product, and give little light swirls. Usually, by doing this, I can get a pink blush to "stay pink" ^_^

I have quite a few true pink blushes, some from MAC, Dior, etc but if you can get the technique right, any brand would do :D

    HTH!

  • Awesome look!

  • @XZCharlotte Oh yeaa....Tsubasa's signature look is "signature" enough for her to have her own Koji line hahaha

  • .geez I thought i was the only one but lots of asians seem to use Koji Dolly Wink lashes....n_n

  • @kikicat5 Oh....These lashes are really HAWT here now...Sasa runs OOS so quickly!

  • @suelynn76 wait is Sasa a makeup store in like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and places or I thought it was just an online site?

  • @kikicat5 oh! Sasa is kinda like an Asian Sephora LOL and there are standalone stores (usually in malls) in HK, Taiwan, Singapore & Malaysia. Not sure abt Japan & Korea thooo...

  • i have a hard time doing her look - i keep practicing - but dang - i just can't get it!! LOL I'll have to re-try with your tutorial to see how it goes.

  • Wuahkakakka...Thank you very much for making this!

  • @PBunnieP You're welcome LOL Highly requested...For some reason, people are obsessed with her!

  • Hey suelynn ^^

I know some1 going to HK in a few months, do you have any good drugstore brand recommendations (skincare or makeup)?

  • @Kookiez72 HK? Oh dear...I'm not sure abt the prices there...

For skincare, try looking up Hada Labo! I heard that their hyaluronic lotion is highly-raved! One bottle sold every 4 seconds, or so they claim LOL It's inexpensive here in Malaysia, and I'd assume the same for HK?

  • @Kookiez72

    @Kookiez72

As for makeup, I think virtually every drugstore brand is cheaper in HK than buying online...Hhhmmm...I don't like Kate and MJ's new collections...Which is why I haven't bought any lately...I prefer the older ones...Why not try mid-range brands like Coffret D'or and Esprique Precious?

  • I need her double lids, haha.

  • @fuzkittie Moolah's all you need to "get" them HA!

  • i still think it's very informative! just keep to these 'rules' once can easily achieve the dolly look :)

  • @choieevon *one

  • @choieevon oh yea....her signature look is, well, the same 99% of the time :P

  • Thank u <3

  • @nlngstar You're welcome, dear :)
