  • You wasted about 40 hp with that mechanical fan - electric only uses about 2hp.

  • KICKASS!!!!

  • i love the sound effects! mkaes it go from a cool vid to a super shweet vid! lol

  • good

  • i was supprised that 429 did go ahead an smoke the other time with the rpm's it puts out..im looking for a 9inch rear posi track for my 79 ford ranchero

  • Did that Mustang run hot as hell without a fan shroud? The proper shroud makes a huge difference.

I've got a '72 Mustang with a 460. A 4-core radiator, shroud, high volume water pump, and free flowing thermostat tamed the heat. It runs at 185 - 195 degrees usually, except on really hot days in bumper to bumper it will creep up to 200+.

  • @BRYAN351 i heard that going to too many core amounts can actually increase heat.. look into it, it might help you run cooler with a 3 core...

  • First off that car is long gone. Second it had a 429 and a 9inch just had that stupid slip diff. 3rd you live on the other side of the country from me so it does not matter either. Your car sounds awesome but it means nothing to me.

  • you sold it?? aww. man not the 72 stang... you could've sold it to me...

  • judging from your burn out, it looks like your stang use to be a 2v 302. cause it doesnt have the nine inch rear end... it look like it has the 8 1/4 rear end or possible a semi pos 9. it's the same exact year as mine but mine has a fuel injected cobra block and a 9 inch rear end... i would like a big block too i i can find a 429 haha.. turbo cars are hard to maintain though.. mine is a daily driver too

  • yeah when ever you want to.. we can go race a pamona race way in cali cause i live here in the golden state. I not talking smack lol i like the 429 super cobra jets.. i'm just saying that big blocks dont nesesarly mean that your cars would always eat up small blocks. it depends on the MODs and effort you put into it. Like my pops 72' datsun 240z with a 327 small block can whoop the new ZR1 vette any day and it only has about 340 horses with a stock 327 block and holley double pumper 4150 series

  • @turbo72stang old 327 beat ZR1 sure

  • 1 wheel wonder burnout LOL

  • Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol..cartman lol...awesome motor dude. what intake did you use?

  • I hope you aren't forcing that poor thing to sit below 4500 it's whole life. It's good for 6,000, easy. Let 'er breath, man!

  • I have a 69 Mach One, with 71 Boss 351 power I'll run any of you long stroke big blocks

  • Had a 351 Cleveland in it before. It had 246,000 on the clock. My other Mach had body issues so I put the 429 in this one.

  • It's pretty quick but I like both motors.

  • haha i have a 347 stroker with trick flow heads hooked up to twin garret t3/t4 turbos. running 100cc injecters and a cobra intake manifold in a 1972 mustang coupe that i will smoke both of your guy... 351c boss and the 429scj. My best track tim was 8.8 sec

  • So what! You wanna medal or something?

  • @turbo72stang Is that before or after you woke up or?

  • @turbo72stang You also have about 4x a much money invested in your motor. Take the turbo's off and let's see how you do. If someone builds a 351C 4v to the same specs as your dinky 347 it will eat your lunch.

  • Put a Cleveland in it lots of power and lots of go

  • A cleveland cannot compete with a big block. You must put a ton more money into the smallblock to equal the torque and HP from the big block, and they're not too reliable long-run. They wear out quicker.

  • You'll run a lot cooler if you install a fan-shroud. I know from experience, because I have a '72 Fastback with a 460. It helps a lot.

  • Acually I did have one on there but the motor would overheat. Now it runs much cooler. Thanks for the advice.

  • I think I know what your problem was. If the fan shroud is too deep, it's counter-productive. The shroud should only go back far enough so that is almost completely covers the fan blades, but not quite.

My friend had this problem on his '69 Camaro. He installed a thinner shroud, and it cooled right down. Was your shroud too deep?

  • It was not too deep but it was from the original radiator. The temp never got over 190. But then again I almost nevr drive it.

  • In response to thnking US for watching...YOUR WELCOME!

  • im buying a 429 for my 78 cougar

    my boat needs more powaa!!!

  • I hope you're rotating those tires. You really need a posi. to put all that power to road......

  • Love that car and engine sound. the southpark blurbs were funny too and the cat with the machine gun.

  • i think you used 3 gallons of gasoline in this video.....haha awesome car

  • mine is a 390 c.i displacement. Mach1 S code.

    cool ride,

  • Super Cool!

    Les

  • it is nice tho

    i love it!

  • lockers?

  • Next on the long list. TY.

  • your mach is nice.

    can i have it?

  • i want a 429!

  • You can buy mine for the right price.

  • Yes awesome only a 426Hemi or any GM bigblock will perform better and last longer.Hemi and Mopar all the way I say.

  • 427 side oiler, 428 cj/scj, and the 429's are hemi killers but they are all good. I'm a Ford guy so this is what I choose to play with. All big blocks get my respect.

  • FE bigblock all the way

  • lets not forget about those clevelands!!

  • your stupid. you make me sick. where do u get ur info? Oh, did I say your stupid?

  • I were once in a Car like this.. this is something in my Life i never forget..
